I called ahead of time and spoke to Ms. Blair. She was so kind and helped me to understand that Mr. White does comic book stands at different convenient stores!! Which is different! (In a good way lol) I scheduled a time to come in and Mr. White was there and met me on time. (Which is a plus! We hate tardiness.) There is only a small selection of comics at the location as, he is restocking, but I was able to find my favorite 😍!! Harley Quinn (A cute nickname my sweetheart gave me lol). I appreciate them for their kindness and can't wait to come back and see what else I can add to my collection! See you guys soon!!

Freaziecomics Introduce

Welcome to Freaziecomics, a distinctive comic book retailer located at 43800 Van Dyke Ave suite 7 in Sterling Heights, Michigan (48314, USA). While categorized under "Pet Store Near Me," it is crucial to note that Freaziecomics is not a traditional pet store offering goods and services for animals. Instead, it is a business specializing in comic books and, based on customer reviews, operates with a somewhat unconventional model. You can contact them at (586) 222-1164 or +1 586-222-1164.

The environment of Freaziecomics appears to be a physical storefront at the provided address, but the customer reviews suggest that the in-store selection of comics might be limited at times, possibly due to restocking. One positive review mentions a "small selection of comics" being available during a visit. This indicates that while a physical location exists, it might not house an extensive inventory at all times. Additionally, the information provided suggests that the owner, Mr. White, also operates comic book stands at various convenient stores, implying that the main point of sale or broader selection might be found at these other locations. The negative reviews hint at potential inconsistencies with the store's operating hours and accessibility, suggesting that relying solely on the physical storefront during posted hours might be unreliable.

Based on the limited information from the provided customer reviews, the services and goods offered by Freaziecomics include:

  • Retail Sale of Comic Books: The primary offering is the sale of comic books. While the in-store selection might vary in size, customers can likely purchase comics at the physical location.
  • Comic Book Stands at Convenient Stores: A unique aspect of Freaziecomics' operation is the presence of comic book stands at different convenient stores. This expands their reach beyond the physical storefront and offers alternative locations for customers to purchase comics.
  • Potential for Special Orders or Restocking: The positive review mentions the store being in the process of restocking, suggesting that customers might be able to inquire about specific titles or anticipate new arrivals.
  • Customer Service and Assistance: The positive review highlights the helpfulness and kindness of Ms. Blair over the phone and the punctuality of Mr. White for an in-person meeting. This indicates that customer service is provided, at least during scheduled appointments.

Features of Freaziecomics that can be gleaned from the customer reviews include:

  • Non-Traditional Retail Model: The operation extends beyond a single storefront to include comic book stands at various convenient stores, offering a different way for customers to access their products.
  • Personalized Customer Interaction (Potentially): The positive review describes a scheduled appointment with Mr. White, suggesting that personalized interactions might be part of their service, especially for specific requests or visits.
  • Focus on Comic Book Enthusiasts: The nature of the business caters specifically to individuals interested in purchasing and collecting comic books.
  • Variable Inventory at Storefront: The in-store selection of comics might fluctuate depending on restocking schedules.
  • Potentially Unreliable Operating Hours: Negative reviews suggest that the store might not always be open during its posted hours.
  • Possible Requirement for Reservations: One negative review mentions "apparently you have to make a reservation to look at comics," which, if accurate, would be a highly unusual feature for a retail store. This claim is contradicted by the positive review which mentions scheduling a time to come in, not necessarily to browse, but to meet the owner.

Promotional information is not mentioned in the provided customer reviews. As a small, independent business with a unique operating model, Freaziecomics might not engage in traditional widespread promotional activities. Any potential promotions or special offers would likely be communicated directly to customers visiting their storefront or perhaps through word-of-mouth. It would be advisable to inquire directly with the store about any such offers.

The customer reviews for Freaziecomics present a somewhat mixed and intriguing picture of this comic book retailer. On one hand, a positive review highlights the kindness and helpfulness of the staff (Ms. Blair and Mr. White), the unique aspect of comic book stands at convenient stores, and the satisfaction of finding a desired comic despite a limited in-store selection. The punctuality of Mr. White for a scheduled meeting is also noted as a positive. This suggests that when accessible and available, Freaziecomics can provide a positive experience for customers seeking comic books.

On the other hand, two negative reviews raise significant concerns about the reliability and accessibility of the store. One customer reported visiting during open hours but finding the store closed, speculating that the owner's presence (and thus the store's operation) might be inconsistent. Another review goes further, claiming that a reservation is needed even to look at comics and criticizing the store for not adhering to its posted hours online and on Google. These negative experiences point to potential issues with consistent operation and clear communication regarding store hours and access.

The discrepancy between the positive and negative feedback suggests that the experience at Freaziecomics might be variable. The unique business model of operating through both a storefront with fluctuating inventory and comic book stands at other locations could contribute to this variability. Customers might find success if they contact the store ahead of time, as the positive reviewer did, but relying solely on posted hours for walk-in visits could be disappointing, as indicated by the negative reviews.

The claim about needing a reservation just to browse comics is particularly unusual for a retail establishment and, if accurate, would likely deter many potential customers. It is possible that this was a misunderstanding or a miscommunication. However, combined with the report of the store being closed during open hours, it suggests a lack of standard retail accessibility.

Local users interested in purchasing comic books from Freaziecomics should be aware of the information presented in these reviews. Contacting the store in advance, as the positive reviewer did, might be a prudent step to ensure that someone is available and to inquire about the current in-store selection or the locations of their comic book stands at convenient stores. The unique operating model could offer an interesting way to discover and purchase comics, but potential inconsistencies in store hours and access should be considered.

In conclusion, Freaziecomics in Sterling Heights, MI, is a comic book retailer operating with a non-traditional model that includes a physical storefront with a potentially limited and fluctuating inventory, as well as comic book stands at various convenient stores. While one customer praised the helpfulness and punctuality of the staff and the satisfaction of finding a desired comic, others reported issues with the store being closed during posted hours and a possible requirement for reservations even to browse. Local users interested in Freaziecomics should consider contacting the store in advance to inquire about availability and operating hours. Information regarding the store's environment and promotional offers is limited and somewhat contradictory based on the provided reviews.

We went to the store yesterday during open hours but the guy was not there, i guess if his car isn't there he's closed randomly and he apparently lives there so it's hit or Miss And apparently you have to make a reservation to look at comics hahaha no thx if you have posted hours on line and on Google then you need to adhere to those hours. Don't bother going to this store or wasting your time

The store was closed during posted open hours. An employee in the golf shop mentioned that if his car wasn't there then he was closed. Not a great way to run a business.
