Cute dog shop on the UWS. Never did grooming here but stopped in for a glance at the products. They have lots of different apparel and fun toys, but be prepared to pay $$$$$. Staff was ok—not friendly or welcoming. You’d expect someone to at least welcome you and ask if you need help with anything. Similar to other reviews—it may be that we don’t fit the clientele this boutique is catering to.

I cannot let the treatment I received by one of the owners of Canine Styles go unaddressed. I’ve been bringing my girl for grooming here for two years. After her last appointment, I called to tell the owner, Chad, that her face hair was left so long that it was still covering her eyes. I did this with the hope that I could bring her in for a trim. Instead, Chad told me that I have not been the kind of customer he wants to serve, and he proceeded to read through a list of complaints that his organization has created about me. He said that his records show that I have rescheduled and canceled appointments, brought my dog in matted, etc. He said that I should find somewhere else to have my dog groomed. I will, indeed, do that, but I will absolutely not accept such treatment silently. I’m guessing many of the Canine Styles customers will never experience this sort of treatment, because perhaps they are of a status that is more in line with what Canine Styles would like as their clientele. In response to your response you have ABSOLUTELY NOT adjusted any of Blue’s past haircuts as I have never asked for one. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNTRUE!

I purchased 2 very expensive leather collars for my dog from the Canine Styles website. I have repeatedly contacted them on their website for a return for the next size/ However no one responds to my emails. Then when I call the telephone number on the website, it is not set up to accept voicemail. They are horrible people!

When I came in I was greeted and was asked if I needed any help.I told the worker I was looking for dog shoes. She shows me the different kinds of shoes but states that one of the pairs was expensive. Off of that statement I felt judgement. I pick a pair and she says that it can be tested out. She assisted with putting them on my dog. I wasn't content with that pair so I decided to go with the expensive ones. She assists putting the shoes on. She went the extra mile by giving my dog treats so she can walk around to make sure they were the right size. She called her coworker over because she claims that her coworker knew more about the shoe sizing than she did . Her coworker didn't seem too interested in helping out. I decided to go with the shoes anyway because I just got my dog groomed and didn't want her paws to get dirty. When I was ready to checkout, I had a $100 dollar bill, and the same coworker who didn't want to help was at the register with this face of disgust looking at the $100 bill. The worker who assisted me also noticed her facial expression. I asked her if there was a problem, and she said she didn't have change. First, I was told specific shoes were expensive, and now you're telling me you don't have change of $100 for a $65.33 transaction you're about to charge me for? I know she was assuming my bill was fake. Again, I needed the shoes so I decided to pay with my card. When I made the statement of paying with my card her demeanor changed. She moved from the register and the lady who assisted me checked me out. Again, she asked her to check and make sure the shoes were the right fit. Then that's when she acknowledged they were. This place is very pricey but I know they make sales. To not have change was very amusing. It was very appalling to have been treated this way. From being told specific shoes were expensive to then tell me there wasn't change when I was ready to checkout. I spoke to a few people about my experience because I thought i was over analyzing but turns out I wasn't. I regret giving them any business. My dog didnt even have the shoes on for more than 10 minutes when we walked out and it kept falling off. Based off of how I was treated I wont even go back to do an exchange. The worker who assisted me, you had good customer service until you made a statement that was offensive. Be mindful of what you say. Her coworker, you should learn from your peer when it comes to customer service. Be mindful of your facial expressions as well. I'm sure you're the same person everyone is talking about in these reviews.

Words cannot express just how kind and compassionate the owners and staff at Canine Styles are. My 12-year-old senior dog suffered a medical emergency while getting groomed (I want to be clear that it was completely unrelated to the grooming experience, just horrible random timing for everyone involved). They went above and beyond for us. I truly cannot convey how thankful I am. They took complete control of the situation, calling our vet, getting us transportation there, riding with us so they could carry my almost 90 pound boy into the veterinary clinic for me, and even staying in the examination room with us while giving me tissues until it was clear Charlie was stable and the situation was under control. I just do not know what I would have done without them. I am forever grateful for the clear love and care they showed my sweet boy both that day and when they called to check in on his recovery later in the week. While I don’t think there are any baths in Charlie’s immediate future, I would trust them with my baby again 1,000 times over. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
