MY DOG DIED!!!! ⚠️‼️If you haven’t already done so take your puppy immediately to the vet to get them tested for parvo and all other “common pet store” diseases. (They say the dogs get all their shots but they don’t. They personally know the vet that signs off the papers. So really nothing is truly legitimate.) ALSO, if you have a sick pup from here know your rights! You are entitled to a refund AND money for medical expenses by FL law. This is my story… Although hesitant to purchase from this place due to the small cages, hamster water bottles for dogs, and diarrhea smell, I had purchased the cutest boy Bernese Mountain Dog from here. Initially it looked like something was wrong with his eye and the employees told us he needed to be seen by the vet. After multiple trips to see if he was still there we kept being told he needed to be seen by the vet. At this point it was over a week this dog had not been seen by a vet. Go figure. We ended up negotiating with the owner that WE would take him to the vet for his eye if she let us purchase him. We wrote an agreement saying we knew something was wrong with his eye and signed. We took our puppy home that day and he was happy to be out of there. He seemed fine that day besides the diarrhea he kept having. (I also saw him have diarrhea at the pet store so I thought it was the cheap food they give them) We switched his food to something better and took him to the vet where they diagnosed his eye issue. The next day our puppy was getting lethargic and sleeping more than usual. He constantly kept getting up to pee. Then not even 24hrs after that we noticed he definitely was sick. I picked him up and I could feel his heart rapidly pounding through his chest. We took him to the vet emergency and he was diagnosed with PARVO the most DEADLY dog virus. First symptom is diarrhea and lethargy. GO FIGURE! Parvo is a virus that usually needs immediate medical treatment. We ended up admitting him into the emergency since his condition was so poor. Long story short our bill costed us over $10,000. We tried everything to keep him alive. He was in the vet hospital for a week with no improvements. We informed the owner of the pet store once we found out and she offered us a refund and a discount on a new puppy. Like seriously lady?! How disturbing do you have to be. We looked into the Florida law and informed her of what she WILL be paying us. Throughout this entire process I’ve met a handful of people that KNOW of this owner and what shady stuff goes down at this establishment. We ended up taking our puppy home from the hospital after a long battle where he passed away in my arms. Even after all the heartache, I’m glad our fur baby ended his life with a family ❤️ Please take my story as a warning. RIP baby Lincoln

Bff Puppies Introduce

For individuals in Orange Park, Florida, considering acquiring a puppy and searching within the "Pet Store Near Me" category, Bff Puppies, located at 1910 Wells Rd, Orange Park, FL 32073, USA, is a local establishment. They can be contacted at (904) 644-8125 or via mobile phone at +1 904-644-8125. The online reviews for Bff Puppies present a stark contrast in customer experiences, which potential buyers should carefully consider.

One detailed and deeply concerning review recounts a devastating experience involving a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy purchased from Bff Puppies. The reviewer expresses initial hesitation due to observations of "small cages, hamster water bottles for dogs, and diarrhea smell" within the store. After purchasing a puppy with a pre-existing eye issue, which the employees allegedly delayed in addressing with a vet, the puppy developed lethargy and frequent urination shortly after going home. Within 24 hours, the puppy was diagnosed with Parvo, a highly contagious and deadly virus. Despite extensive and costly emergency veterinary care exceeding $10,000 over a week, the puppy ultimately passed away. The reviewer strongly advises potential buyers to immediately have any puppy purchased from this store tested for Parvo and other common pet store diseases, alleging that the provided vaccination records may not be legitimate due to the owner's personal relationship with the signing veterinarian. The review also mentions the buyer's awareness of Florida law regarding refunds and medical expenses for sick puppies purchased from pet stores and recounts the owner's initial offer of a refund and a discount on another puppy as "disturbing." This account serves as a significant warning regarding potential health issues with puppies sourced from this store and raises serious concerns about their animal care practices and transparency regarding health information.

In stark contrast to this harrowing experience, another reviewer offers a positive assessment, stating that "Puppies are heathy and very well taken care of by the employees." This reviewer also describes the owner as "super nice" and willing to negotiate on prices, recommending getting a puppy from this store. This feedback presents a completely different perspective on the health and care of the puppies at Bff Puppies and the demeanor of the owner.

Given the significant discrepancy in these two reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive description of the environment and services at Bff Puppies. The negative review paints a picture of potentially inadequate housing conditions ("small cages," "hamster water bottles") and a possible lack of immediate veterinary care for sick animals. The "diarrhea smell" also suggests potential sanitation issues. Conversely, the positive review implies a healthy environment where puppies are "very well taken care of." Without further objective information, it is difficult to ascertain the typical conditions within the store.

Similarly, the services offered by Bff Puppies are primarily centered around the sale of puppies. The positive review mentions the owner being willing to "work with you on prices," suggesting some flexibility in the purchasing process. The negative review details a negotiation regarding veterinary care for a pre-existing condition, indicating a willingness to make some accommodations, albeit one that ultimately had tragic consequences. The alleged lack of legitimate vaccination records, if true, would be a significant negative aspect of their services. The "puppy package" mentioned in a positive review from another pet store (Puppies Galore & More) is not mentioned here, so it is unknown if Bff Puppies offers similar incentives.

The features of Bff Puppies are also difficult to objectively assess based on the conflicting reviews. The positive review highlights "heathy" puppies and a "super nice" owner as key features. However, the negative review directly contradicts the claim of healthy puppies and portrays a concerning lack of empathy and responsibility from the owner in the face of a puppy's severe illness and death. The alleged practice of knowing the veterinarian who signs off on potentially illegitimate health papers would be a severely negative feature, indicating a lack of transparency and potentially putting the health of the puppies at risk.

There is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. Potential buyers would need to inquire directly with Bff Puppies about any current offers or packages.

In conclusion, Bff Puppies in Orange Park presents a complex and potentially risky option for those seeking a "Pet Store Near Me" to purchase a puppy. While one reviewer describes healthy puppies and a helpful owner, another provides a deeply disturbing account of a puppy purchased from this store falling severely ill with Parvo and ultimately dying, alleging poor living conditions, delayed veterinary care, and questionable vaccination practices. Potential buyers are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution, thoroughly investigate the health and living conditions of any puppies at Bff Puppies, seek independent veterinary checks immediately upon purchase, and be aware of their rights under Florida law regarding the sale of sick animals. The significant discrepancies in the customer reviews warrant a high degree of scrutiny before considering a purchase from this establishment.

I was in the store not too long ago and see they have some so called Cocker Spaniels. The employees there acted like experts when I asked why do they look like poodles. My family use to always have Cocker spaniels and not once have they ever looked so fluffy like a poodle. Searching for a pup online and I see that the “pure cocker” that I saw in the store looks exactly like their cockapoo. I have no problem with dog hybrids but the store is not going to be honest with people when they are selling them at that price? Maybe they don’t even know what they are talking about. They are no dog experts. Just people trying to get money from excessive buyers. The picture shown is one of the “pure cockers” I saw next to a cockapoo they have in the same store! Also the employees give me the vibe that they hate their job. Like come on your surrounded by puppies. Absolute clown show.

INHUMANE!!! All the puppies are being doped, some of the dogs don’t have access to water, and the others have a hamster dripper!! The puppies were eating the paper in there, they’re confined to these glass cases 24/7 basically. Literally I’ve never seen puppies so sad looking. Why why why is this allowed?

Got our newest addition to the family 🥹 we love him so much! UPDATE: If I could have gotten this puppy elsewhere I most certainly would have.. The amount of issues and loopholes we ended up having to go through with our fur baby once he came home was honestly ridiculous.. the day after we got him, he was having discharge out of his nose daily, his eyes, & blood in his poop.. barely eating & barely drinking & extremely lethargic.. so we brought him back to BFF puppies to be looked at by their vet since they monitor the puppies if there are any issues with them after purchase.. after being monitored for a few hrs, My wife is told that the puppy may have kennel cough & was suggested that we take him to the forever vet’s emergency clinic. After we did so, the vet told us the puppy has an upper respiratory infection & could possibly have hook & roundworms, but further testing would have needed to be done which was going to total over an additional $1500.00 .. after we JUST spent over $2900.00 for the puppy less than a week later.. Underneath Puppy Lemon Laws in Florida , we had the right to ask for either a puppy of equal value, to return the puppy & get our money back , OR keep the puppy & have his vet bills taken care of for equal value up to the cost of him.. I spoke with Dawn Raymond personally regarding the matter & was told that she could “ as a courtesy “ possibly help out with his veterinary bills or issue us back a partial refund for him & she would be back in contact with me within 1-2 days after I sent her all the documents & proof from the Vet’s office ( Which I Did ) & STILL have not heard anything back.. it has now been 5 days, & my next step will be taking this company to civil court because what they’re doing is not right.. We love our puppy so much and have gotten so attached to him, but it isn’t fair for us to have to pay any additional vet bills for a puppy that we were promised is healthy and has absolutely no issues… this has been the WORST experience & I wish I would have read the reviews on this store before we spent this money on the puppy..
