I purchased at kitten near Christmas and for months tried to get my CFA registration paperwork. Many of my messages went unanswered so eventually I filed a complaint with the BBB to which Ed replied “no biggie I’m not registered with them anyway”. He never replied to their investigation either but they did publish the complaint on their site. Needless to say I never received my paperwork. After reading the review about the sick kitten I felt obligated to share my experience as well. My kitten has under developed nasal openings, had an upper respiratory infection and has suffered with a skin condition since I got her. The skin condition has spread to my other 2 Persians that have never had a skin issue. I must agree with the other reviewer that this is the true definition of a backyard breeder out for the money We do love our kitten but would never recommend this breeder to anyone

Welcome to A&F Persian Cats
This introduction is intended to provide local users with crucial information regarding A&F Persian Cats, located at 8520 Weaver Rd, St Louisville, OH 43071, based on recent customer experiences shared online. While categorized under "Pet Store Near Me," the feedback suggests that A&F Persian Cats operates primarily as a breeder of Persian kittens, and potential buyers should be aware of the concerns raised by previous customers before making a decision.
Given the serious nature of the issues reported in the customer reviews, a description of a positive or typical pet store environment is not applicable in this case. The reviews paint a concerning picture of the practices associated with A&F Persian Cats. One customer who purchased a kitten near Christmas reported significant difficulties in obtaining the CFA (Cat Fanciers' Association) registration paperwork for their kitten. Despite multiple attempts to contact the seller, identified as Ed, their messages allegedly went unanswered for months. This lack of response eventually led the buyer to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). According to the reviewer, Ed's response to the BBB complaint was dismissive, stating he was not registered with them and subsequently failing to reply to their investigation. The buyer ultimately never received the registration paperwork for their kitten.
Furthermore, the same reviewer shared alarming details about the health of the kitten purchased from A&F Persian Cats. The kitten was reportedly suffering from underdeveloped nasal openings, an upper respiratory infection, and a persistent skin condition that subsequently spread to the buyer's other two Persian cats, who had no prior history of skin issues. Based on these experiences, the reviewer strongly agreed with another review (detailed below) characterizing A&F Persian Cats as a "backyard breeder out for the money" and explicitly stated they would never recommend this breeder to anyone, despite their affection for the kitten.
Another deeply concerning review details a customer's experience of acquiring a kitten on a Sunday afternoon that was already exhibiting signs of illness, including sneezing and watery eyes. The seller, Ed, allegedly assured the buyer that this was normal behavior. Trusting this assurance, the buyer took the kitten home. However, by Monday morning, the kitten's condition had visibly worsened, with crusted eyes and a nose full of hardened discharge. Attempts to contact Ed for feedback and veterinary information were initially unsuccessful.
The buyer sought veterinary care for the kitten, which resulted in a diagnosis of an eye infection and a severe upper respiratory infection. The kitten was also found to be significantly underweight, weighing less than one pound at over eight weeks old. Subsequent contact with Ed, expressing frustration due to the kitten's pre-existing illness and the lack of veterinary records, allegedly resulted in a negative and accusatory response. The seller reportedly blamed the buyer and dismissed the veterinarian as being solely motivated by financial gain and lacking compassion. The buyer also claims to have been threatened against leaving a bad review. Despite the buyer's initial intention of simply seeking guidance and the kitten's medical information, Ed allegedly called the buyer "crazy" and was verbally abusive. As of the time of the review, the buyer had still not received the kitten's certification or veterinary records, nor had the seller acknowledged that the kitten was ill at the time of sale. The reviewer expressed hope for the kitten's recovery and shared that another individual who acquired a kitten from the same litter reported a similarly ill kitten diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. This further reinforces the serious concerns about the health and breeding practices at A&F Persian Cats.
Based on these two detailed and highly negative customer experiences, potential local buyers considering acquiring a Persian kitten from A&F Persian Cats should exercise extreme caution. The reported issues include a lack of responsiveness regarding essential paperwork, the sale of seemingly ill kittens, a failure to provide necessary health information, and unprofessional and hostile communication from the seller when health concerns are raised. These accounts strongly suggest potential ethical and health-related problems associated with this breeder.
Given the severity of the allegations, it is impossible to describe any positive features or services one might typically expect from a responsible pet store or breeder. The focus here must be on conveying the negative experiences reported by previous customers to ensure that local users are aware of these serious concerns before contacting or purchasing from A&F Persian Cats.
There is no information available regarding the environment where the cats and kittens are kept, but the health issues reported in multiple kittens from the same litter raise questions about the hygiene and health management practices. Similarly, no information about specific services or promotional offers is available, as the primary focus of the reviews is on the problematic experiences of purchasing kittens.
In conclusion, based on the available information, potential buyers in the St Louisville, OH, area should be very wary of acquiring a Persian kitten from A&F Persian Cats. The reported issues of unresponsive communication regarding registration paperwork and, more importantly, the sale of sick and underweight kittens, coupled with allegations of unprofessional and hostile behavior from the seller, paint a deeply concerning picture. Local users are strongly advised to seek Persian kittens from reputable and ethical breeders who prioritize the health and well-being of their animals and provide transparent and professional communication with buyers. It would be prudent to request health certifications, vaccination records, and registration paperwork prior to any purchase and to consider seeking kittens from breeders with verifiable positive reviews and a commitment to responsible breeding practices. The experiences shared by previous customers of A&F Persian Cats serve as a significant warning.

Jul 03, 2022 · Diana KellarGot a kitten from A&F on Sunday afternoon kitten came to me sneezing with watery eyes. Ed assured me this was normal behavior I took his word due to him having such positive reviews and knowing that cats can sometimes get a case of the sneezes just like humans when my kitten woke up Monday morning she was visibly ill eyes crusted shut and nose full of hard boogers I reached out to Ed at A&F hoping for feedback and relieved nothing! I was able to get her into a vet this morning and she was diagnosed with an eye infection along with a severe upper respiratory infection too and deemed as very under weight at less then a 1lb at over 8weeks I reached back out to A&F this time slightly more frustrated because now not only did I have to take her to an er vet due to illness that the vet said she had to of came with but he was still yet to reply and send me vet info so my vet could know what vaccines she had received since upon picking her up he didn't have that info. He finally replied and became very nasty blaming me and stating the vet was just out for money and he had no compassion at all and threated me of I left a bad review I honestly never reached out to bash him and had no intention of even writing a negative review was just looking for compassion and for him to give me the adequate info on the kitten but Instead he called me crazy and bashed me! He is still yet to give me the certification or vet records for my poor sick kitten or acknowledge that she was sick upon him selling her to me! I just pray my kitten is okay! I spoke with another lady who relieved a kitten from same liter luckily her kitten just as sick but also was diagnosed with a upper respiratory infection! This definitely is a true definition of a backyard uncompassionate breeder who is only about the $!
