I have brought both my dogs here for the last 9 years. Sadly, my Rocky passed last year due to heart issues and they were so kind and patient. They allowed us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes and be with him through the whole process. They were very sensitive to the matter and we appreciate that to this day. My other baby Roo still goes there and he has health issues he gets seen for frequently. Dr.Hana has been the primary vet for both my dogs and he is so great. When Rocky was having trouble breathing due to his heart failure doctor was still on his way to the clinic. The tech called and was given emergency orders on what to do until he got there. Rocky was immediately put on oxygen amongst other things. When Dr.Hana arrived I watched him come running in and straight to check on Rocky. He takes his time explaining everything and does everything possible to make sure we receive the best care. I trust him fully with my fur babies. Roo also has regular tech visits for his allergy injection and nail trimming which he hates and can be feisty but everyone is so good with him. I see how all the girls in the back baby him and speak so sweetly. I know he is in good hands. I highly recommend Yucaipa Animal Hospital for anyone to take their fur babies.

Been bringing my three fur babies here since moving to Yucaipa a few years ago & we’ve always had a pleasant experience. The staff is kind, accommodating, & professional even when my youngest is being her sassy self. I am especially grateful for their care & support when one of my pups needed knee surgery.

I took my cat to Yucaipa Animal Hospital because he was throwing up not eating and looked really tired. Never having a cat that sick and not knowing what was wrong with him was very stressful, so relying on a pet hospital to guide me walk me through the process of making the appointment, preparing for the day of the appointment and what to expect during and after was very important to me. The receptionist I spoke to was helpful but very rush rush on the phone. When I got to the Animal Hospital I had mentioned to them that my cat was throwing up and had no other symptoms so they assumed he was contagious and they asked me wait in my car until it was time to be seen by the doctor. I arrived 20 minutes early and I understand that they don't want to possibly contaminate any other cat or dog in the building but the wait time in my car was very extreme because it was super hot outside and I waited for about an hour and a half until they finally called me inside the building to see the doctor. Doctor asked me a lot of questions to try to figure out what was wrong with my cat, if my cat was exposed to anything or anyone that was sick... etc. I said to doctor my cat is an inside cat, no one comes in and out of my house, and he was fine the day before the symptoms started. I also told the doctor that I think he ate something that was poisonous because I have a big company that sprayed the outside of the house weekly and I noticed bugs have been coming inside the house lately. Dr suggested that we do a complete diagnostic exam and also start him on antibiotics with lots of medications to help him with his symptoms. Blood work, X-rays, check kidneys, liver, urine.... etc. My cat was severely dehydrated and needed hydration. Dr. suggested to me that I take him to a 24-hour facility cuz they do not monitor pets overnight at Yucaipa Animal Hospital. I suggested to Dr. "Can you Bolus my cat with IV fluids like we do with humans?" the doctor's eyes lit up and he smiled and he said yes! yes! we can do that. ( I was an ex nurse so I was familiar with hydrating humans😁) Dr. said come back in 3 hours to get results of all the tests findings. I return 3 hours later, we went over all results, all tests showed my cat was completely normal. Dr complimented on how healthy my cat was, but obviously something was ailing him. Doctor diagnosed him with autoimmune infection. I kept stressing to the doctor that I think my cat ate a poisonous bug, we need to check him or treat him for possible poisoning. Dr. gave me a bunch of medications to take home and told me that my cat was going to be fine. Four days later my cat's symptoms were slowly improving but he was not able to eat and lost a lot of weight. On the 5th day my cat started throwing up blood and lost all movement to his lower legs. My beautiful cat kept looking at me as his body slowly stop moving, that same day in the evening my cat passed away...😭 I described a lot of the symptoms to some friends of mine that are cat owners and one of my friends said it sounds like your cat was poisoned, because she had a cat that died of poisoning and all the symptoms that I was describing sounded familiar. I was really disappointed that the Yucaipa Animal Hospital never called me to do a follow-up to see how my cat was doing. The day before my cat passed away I called Yucaipa Animal Hospital and let them know that my cat was severely sick and took a turn for the worse. The receptionist that I spoke to was really cold and careless. She never even asked me how my cat was doing. She pretty much said if i wanted to see the doctor I needed to make an appointment because there's no guarantee they'll be an opening. I said no! (I wasn't too happy with the diagnosis and the service so im just going to make my cat comfortable and just let him stay home with his family. I never got a follow-up call a couple of days after visiting Yucaipa Animal Hospital office. I never got a call even after the passing of my beautiful cat.

I was disappointed that Doctor Hana spent less than 5 min. with us. I had hoped to ask more questions about diet and allergy issues. He did not address Lucky's sudden change in appetite. His assistant filled in for him and was more helpful. He showed no empathy towards my dog or me.
