We took our pup to Willard for the first time last week and could not be happier with our experience! Every member of the staff has been so kind - from the moment we made the appointment to the front desk to the vet tech to the veterinarian herself- everyone was really so nice to work with. Our pup has a lot of nerves around new people, especially in new environments and they were all so patient and understanding throughout his entire appointment. Everything went really well and I was put at ease for the first time in a long time at the Vet - I'm very thankful to everyone we interacted with at Willard!

As one new client enthusiastically shared, from the moment they made the appointment to their interactions with the front desk, the vet tech, and the veterinarian, every member of our team was genuinely kind and a pleasure to work with. We understand that many pets experience anxiety in new environments and around new people, and we take great pride in our patient and understanding approach. Our team is skilled at working with nervous animals, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable throughout their appointment. This gentle handling helps to ease anxiety for both pets and their owners, creating a more positive and productive veterinary experience.
The long-standing relationships we build with our clients and their pets are a testament to the quality of care we provide. One heartfelt review from a client whose dog, Shaggy, received care at Willard Veterinary Clinic for 14 years speaks volumes about our commitment. Shaggy was considered a cherished family member, and our team, including Dr. McVicker, treated him as such throughout his life. The client specifically praised Angela and the team for their warm welcome and gentle handling of Shaggy during his visits, often offering treats like peanut butter to make him feel comfortable.
Over the years, Shaggy faced several health challenges, including Lyme disease, other tick-borne illnesses, and arthritis, common in his shepherd mix breed which also predisposed him to hip ailments. Thanks to the expertise, dedication, and compassion of the Willard Veterinary Clinic team, Shaggy maintained a healthy and active life well into his senior years. Our proactive approach to his care focused on ensuring his mobility, comfort, and overall happiness, right up until his final moments. This proactive and comprehensive approach to managing chronic conditions and providing quality senior pet care is a cornerstone of our practice.
The deep connection our team forms with the animals we care for extends beyond medical treatment. The client who shared Shaggy's story noted that even after moving an hour away, they continued to bring him to Willard Veterinary Clinic because of the genuine love for animals and the unwavering commitment to providing the best possible care. They also highlighted their positive experiences working with Dr. Gravelle, who consistently took the time to thoroughly explain diagnoses and treatment options, ensuring the owners understood and felt comfortable with every decision made. This dedication to clear communication and shared decision-making is vital to our client relationships.
The empathy and compassion of our team are particularly evident during difficult times. When Shaggy was being put to sleep, the client felt that our team shared their heartbreak, treating their beloved dog as if he were their own. This kindness and understanding during such a sensitive time made a profound difference to the family, underscoring our commitment to not only the pet but also the emotional well-being of their owners. This level of emotional support is a crucial aspect of the care we provide at Willard Veterinary Clinic.

Jan 23, 2025 · Mary GeorgeWe cannot express enough gratitude and appreciation for the incredible care and support that our beloved dog, Shaggy, received at Willard Veterinary Clinic over the last 14 years. Shaggy was not just a pet but a cherished member of our family and Dr. McVicker and the entire team treated him as such every step of the way. Every time we walked into their clinic, we knew he was in the best hands as Angela and the team would get his vitals, feed him some peanut butter and treat him like a prince. Over the years, he faced numerous health challenges, including Lyme disease and several other tick-borne illnesses as well as arthritis. As a shepherd mix, he had all the hip ailments that you find in this breed as well. Thanks to Willard's expertise, dedication and compassion, Shaggy remained healthy and active well into his senior years. Their proactive approach to his care ensured that he stayed mobile, comfortable and always happy right up until the very end. Even after we moved an hour away, what made us stay with this team is their genuine love for animals and commitment to providing the best possible care. As we started working more with Dr. Gravelle, she was always so kind and took time to explain every diagnosis and treatment option, making sure we understood but also helped us make each decision. As Shaggy was being put down, you could tell that they were as heartbroken as my wife and I were; as if they lost one of their own best friends. Their kindness and empathy during difficult times made all the difference to our family. We are forever grateful to the team at Willard Veterinary Clinic for the many years of exceptional care they provided our family member. They helped give him a long, healthy and very happy life, and for that, I will always be thankful. If you're looking for a veterinarian team who is knowledgeable, compassionate and truly cares about the wellbeing of your pet, look no further than this team.
Aug 19, 2024 · Matt RafeldWe can’t thank Willard Vet enough! They are great for our 2 year old golden doodle, Nova! The staff are always so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating— responding to my questions via email or getting a same day appointment for an urgent issue. Nova wags her tail and is happy to go to the vet! Thank you! Would recommend anyone to go here for their fur babies!
May 08, 2024 · Emily RockThey see our cats and labs and we have always been happy. Recently, our cat had an accident that resulted in her needing surgery to remove a few inches of her tail. They took us in right when I called. Dr. Payne did a beautiful job on her amputation! Specifically Dr.Payne, Gwen, and Bailey saw her over several appointments and treated her like a queen. We feel like they really love our animals!
