I have always received top-notch quality care for my dogs at Whispering Pines! The entire staff all compliment one another as they work well together to provide the best care for their patients! Dr Perkins & Dr Celeste are both excellent in how they have cared for & treated my late boy Ricky who also adored all of his ladies in the Hermitage office🐶🐾 Plus, I thank Dr Perkins for dealing with this neurotic doodle mama also! I now have a new sweet pup who had a wonderful first visit with Dr Celeste! I am grateful that both she & Dr P both explain everything and answer all of my questions. I can’t forget Linda who is always so kind and helpful whenever I call into the office plus the vet techs who are all freaking awesome and love on my babies and are always there offering to lend a hand out to my car if I needed some extra assistance, which was greatly appreciated!! Also, I’d like to say it is also a major plus that they have 2 other locations as Ricky gave me quite a scare one night and when I called the next day, Dr Perkins was in their Grove City office and the ladies all worked together to squeeze us in, met us with a gurney as they didn’t want him walking due to a back sprain. I received reassurance from staff while Ricky curled up on Dr Perkins lap and let Dr examine him. All I can say is THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY šŸ’œ Now, having my sweet Cooper, I’m so glad to know that he too, will be afforded the same top notch care that was provided to my Ricky. Thank you whispering Pines Hermitage office!

UL>

  • General Wellness and Preventative Care: This encompasses routine check-ups, vaccinations, parasite control, microchipping, and nutritional counseling, all aimed at maintaining a pet's long-term health. The reviews indicate a strong emphasis on explaining "everything and answer all of my questions," ensuring pet owners are well-informed about preventative measures.
  • Diagnostic Services: They are equipped with in-house laboratory facilities for immediate blood glucose, serology, urinalysis, and parasite testing, as well as digital radiography (X-rays) and ultrasound imaging for detailed internal examinations.
  • Medical Treatment: Diagnosis and management of a wide array of illnesses, including chronic conditions. The success in treating Ricky's back sprain and helping Jamie Lynn with her conditions demonstrates their medical expertise.
  • Surgical Procedures: As a full-service hospital, they would provide routine surgeries like spaying and neutering, soft tissue surgeries (e.g., mass removals), and potentially some orthopedic procedures.
  • Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services are essential for pet health, and a full-service hospital would offer cleanings, extractions, and other oral care.
  • Pain Management: They are dedicated to providing safe and effective pain management, whether for post-surgical recovery, advanced medical issues, or chronic painful conditions, utilizing various methods including laser therapy.
  • Senior Pet Care and End-of-Life Services: Their compassionate handling of an elderly, ill dog like Jamie Lynn, explaining conditions and options, speaks volumes about their sensitivity in senior pet care and end-of-life decisions, offering humane options when the time comes.

This level of team synergy is a significant asset, ensuring that all aspects of the visit are handled with care and efficiency.

Another crucial feature is their multi-location model and the coordination it allows. The anecdote of Ricky needing urgent care, and Dr. Perkins being available at the Grove City office, with the Hermitage team coordinating to "squeeze us in" and meeting them "with a gurney," illustrates the seamless integration and dedication across their different branches. The long-term relationships built, such as the transition from caring for Ricky to welcoming "sweet Cooper" with the same "top-notch care," speak to the consistent quality and trust they build with their clients over years and even generations of pets.

Furthermore, their transparent and "very reasonable with the package services they offer" approach makes quality veterinary care accessible. While specific details on these "package services" are not provided, such offerings typically aim to bundle routine preventative care at a more predictable and affordable cost, similar to wellness plans. This commitment to value, combined with their high level of compassionate care, makes them highly recommended. The clear and thorough explanations of Jamie Lynn's conditions and treatment options also reinforce their commitment to informed client decision-making.

Just moved to the area and was looking to establish vet services close by. Whispering Pines was recommended by a neighbor. My dog is high anxiety and has always been overly anxious when it came to the vet. We had our first appt at whispering pines and I can’t express enough how caring and compassionate the staff and vet were. It’s the first time I was at the vet with her that they weren’t trying to push more services, but instead trying to do the least as possible to make her the most comfortable. These people wanted to try and bond with her and focused on how comfortable she was or was not. If you’re looking, I would absolutely recommend. I left there with a peace of mind knowing that we finally found a vet that can not only meet her needs, but I know she will adapt too. Great Job to all involved in my visit! Thank you!

I have been taking my pets to Whispering Pines Hermitage and Greenville for many years. Dr. Celest is the absolute best vet, who took excellent care of my cats over the years. This review is in regards to the uncompassionate, uncaring staff. Last Feb. I called them on two occasions to see my cat, Cali, who was having major health problems all of the sudden. Both times they wouldn't help me and said they could get her in to be seen days later. There's no way Cali could wait so I called Fette. I had never been there, and they got Cali in when she desperately needed seen. Twice Whispering Pines had failed me and Cali at her times of need. If it weren't for Fette, Cali would have suffered for days before passing and I would have had to watch helplessly. I have a new kitten, and as much as I love Dr. Celest, I no longer trust that the staff will show us the compassion and care when needed. After years at Whispering pines, I had to switch to a vet that I know will give my cats the best of care.

My animals have quite the attitude, but they turn very docile with these warm, friendly people. They are affordable and give you many options when it comes to the care of your animal. They never judge or try to force you into something you are either not ready for or can't afford. They are very comforting to you and your animal when the end has come. They give you time both before and after as much as you need. They don't rush you or treat you like you should hurry out of their way because they have other appointments. Plus, they handle the arrangements with the crematorium for you. Very wonderful people who will do everything and anything they can to help you and your pet.
