Comprehensive Veterinary Services

As a full-service "Pet Hospital," Whetstone Animal Hospital LLC offers a wide array of veterinary services to cater to the diverse health needs of pets. These services span from routine preventative care to more complex medical interventions. Core offerings typically include wellness examinations, which are essential for early detection of health issues and maintaining overall pet health. Vaccinations are also a standard part of their preventative care, protecting pets from common and serious diseases. Diagnostic capabilities are a crucial component, likely including in-house laboratory services for blood work and urinalysis, as well as radiography (X-rays), to accurately diagnose conditions. The clinic also provides medical services for treating various illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions. Surgical services are available, encompassing both routine procedures such as spaying and neutering, and potentially other general surgeries. Dental services are also a vital part of comprehensive pet care offered by the hospital, addressing oral health issues that can impact a pet's overall well-being. The goal is to provide continuous, high-quality care that supports a pet's health throughout all stages of life, ensuring they are treated like valued family members.

Distinguishing Features and Approach

Whetstone Animal Hospital LLC distinguishes itself through several key features that resonate with its clientele. The most prominent characteristic is the deeply "respectful and caring" nature of the staff. This quality is particularly evident and appreciated during sensitive times, such as when families face the difficult decision of pet euthanasia. The ability of the team to provide "amazing care" for both the pet and the family during such emotionally challenging visits speaks volumes about their compassion and empathy. Another notable feature, highlighted in a client review, is the clinic's cautious approach to pet handling. While some might initially misunderstand this, the clinic's dedication to "take precautions to protect themselves" is a testament to their professionalism and commitment to safety for all involved – the veterinary team, other clients, and the pets themselves. In a veterinary setting, where animals can be unpredictable, such a careful stance is crucial for preventing injuries and ensuring a safe environment for examinations and treatments. This proactive safety measure, although sometimes perceived as strict, is ultimately a sign of a responsible and well-managed practice that prioritizes the well-being of its staff and the successful outcome of patient care. The consistent positive feedback on their work, even from those who acknowledge their cautiousness, underscores the clinic's effective and reliable service delivery.

Promotional Information and Client Testimonials

The most compelling promotional message for Whetstone Animal Hospital LLC comes directly from the experiences of its satisfied clients. Their testimonials vividly illustrate the clinic's core values and the quality of care provided. One client's review, "Very respectful and caring people. Took amazing care of my pet and family during our visit. For the situation of ever needing to put a family pet down I would highly recommend this place," serves as a powerful endorsement, particularly for the empathetic and supportive care offered during difficult times. This highlights the clinic's capacity to handle not just medical needs but also the emotional aspects of pet ownership. Another review provides insight into the clinic's professional conduct and integrity: "Been there twice now and both times they did a good job, seen several bad reviews cause they are cautious. I don’t understand why people get mad cause they take precautions to protect themselves. Look up dog bite photos and the aftermath of the scarring and maybe then you would understand there caution from your 'babies'". This candid feedback not only praises the quality of service ("both times they did a good job") but also defends the clinic's safety protocols. It implicitly communicates that Whetstone Animal Hospital LLC maintains high standards of safety and professionalism, even if it means implementing measures that might appear stringent to some. This transparency about their cautious approach, coupled with client understanding and acceptance, reinforces the clinic's image as a responsible and trustworthy provider. The vet should have never gotten her DVM. She is scared of dogs and neither her nor the vet tech know proper restraint of a dog whatsoever. I took my dogs in this morning for general health checkups, vaccines, heart worm test and prevention, and flea medicine. Prior coming in they knew that both my dogs are huskies which are notorious for being hyper due to their nature and it was 9am so they hadn’t had time to run out their energy for the day. My male husky had to be muzzled, which in his 5 years of life has never had to happen at the vet nor groomer, so he has never even had a muzzle on. I believe he was howling and the vet freaked out because she doesn’t like hyper dogs? They had mentioned prior that my dogs seemed hyper when they were expressing very normal nervous energy. My dog is not aggressive nor has ever bit, so this entire interaction now has made him completely afraid of the vet due to the simple ignorance of the vet. My female is usually a bit more aggressive so we did tell them to use a muzzle on her after their interaction with my more calm male husky. Now for the first time ever the vet request that she be put on calming medication prior to going to the veterinarian because the vet doesn’t want to deal with doing her job of dealing with hyper and opinionated dogs. I understand that my dogs are huskies but my dogs are not aggressive nor bad dogs by any means.

I called right before closing on a Friday when I came home to find my new puppy lifeless. We rushed him in to see Dr. Frey and she went way above and beyond to save his life! She gave him fluids and meds right away and told us what to do to hopefully keep him alive over the weekend. Within a couple hours of leaving the office, River came back to life! He had parvo and would've died if it wasn't for her quick action. We couldn't possibly thank her enough for not only saving River, but for saving us from having broken hearts as he is going to be my daughter's service dog. #LivingRiver has a beautiful life ahead because of Whetstone Animal Hospital and Dr. Frey!!

Just got removed from the office. Apparently negative reviews are not allowed. The owner ,Dr. Price, basically let me have it because he claimed my dog was a threat to his veterinarian. My dog has never opened his mouth to hurt anyone. I went back with my cat today because I've used whetstone for years, but these people are horrible! First they told me they were bringing my flea medicine in the room. That was a lie so he could ambush me. The flea meds were at the front desk he wanted to attack me and therefor had his vet(the same vet thats scared of dogs but does great with cats, Dr. Frey as stated on my bill) lie to me. I told him I wouldnt be bringing my dogs back anyway so it was a moot point to talk to me and I wanted to end the conversation. He demanded that the review be removed, now you have 2 truthful reviews. I asked him twice to leave me alone, to which he said you're not welcome back. Fine! I don't care I literally picked this vet out of loyalty with the previous owner. I was threatened for a true review my daughter left. if you do bad that's why they make reviews! The vet who had my dogs had no business working with dogs and im not the only reviewer to say this. What i got from what he told me though is that he encourages his vets to be leery of dogs. Yes dogs can be dangerous but to litterally start scared is ridiculous! He told me not to make a scene, which I didnt. He did though marching around following me like a crazy angry man. I paid my bill and said nothing, except to ask his name, unless he spoke to me, Which he kept doing. I asked him to leave me alone both in the room and in the lobby. He held the door open for me to make a scene himself. He told me to have a good day. I at this point did come back very rude. So I'm guessing I'll get some sort of lawyer letter for leaving reviews.
