I can't stress enough just how amazing Westside Animal Hospital has been. I never thought I would see my dog excited to see the vet, and yet she was. Everyone was so friendly and so loving that she was happy to be there. I never doubted that the entire staff cared about my dog, and about me. I very specifically remember our first time ever going to Westside, where Roberta stayed with my dog and made sure she was as comfortable as possible. Due to a medical emergency that couldn't have been prevented, my dog ended up passing on. But everything that the staff at Westside did during this really hard time just made me appreciate them so much more. Especially Dr. Rennie, Heather, and Stefani made a really difficult day a little bit easier by comforting us and being as accommodating as possible. The whole office even sent condolence flowers to our home. Again, I can't stress it enough that I think everyone should bring their pets here. I hope I can bring any future pets here too. Everything is handled so well, from normal check-ups to sick visits, to a pet passing. I can't thank everyone at Westside enough for all that they did for my family.

May 19, 2025 · Serena MateraDr Rennie was absolutely amazing with my Sully Monster! Although he was afraid, he did let her examine him with her very calm, gentle manner. I really appreciate how much time she spent with us. She showed a true interest in my very difficult dog and has made a difference already. Heather, the vet tech, was fantastic as well. Thanks for the positive experience ladies. We can’t wait to go back.
Jan 20, 2025 · seasI always have a great experience when I bring my pets here. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming. Dr. Murphy has always been straightforward. Everytime I bring my boy Siamese cats home, they walk around with an ego for days! Thanks for the local care and support.
May 20, 2025 · Christine TriselEVERY member of the team at Westside Animal Hospital has been fantastic since Day 1. Our pets (past and present) have seen both Dr. Murphy and Dr. Rennie. They are brilliant and wonderful. Whenever I call with an issue or question, the team is always kind and gracious. I’m grateful to have such a caring, helpful, and knowledgeable team taking care of our beloved pets.
Apr 07, 2025 · eddymetiI called again after a private adoption of a Persian cat to get more of a history with my new cat. The receptionist at the desk refused multiple times to let me speak with the vet. Of which, was dealing with Sugar and her previous owner directly. She was snickering with her homegirls (multiple times I may add) about this whole situation like any of this was funny! Any sane or respectful person would understand how scary this can be for a cat to have these issues. I did not call to get current medical advice but I called to get her history and what was the treatment planned discussed prior to my ownership. I have my own vets! Why would I not consult with whoever was dealing with my cat prior to, to gain more clarity. My vets would ask the same questions! The vet records are vague! I'm not sure what she was getting at by saying that "You were given the records". The $75 food she's on is doing nothing for her. Her coat and skin were in terrible condition with bumps and lesions under her coat. How was this not seen prior to me getting her? I have barely had this cat for a month and some change. This is not something that should be happening. I had this cat scheduled for a spay and wellness checkup (at another clinic) that I canceled because I was worried about her making it through surgery if she's so thin (in addition to explosive diarrhea and GAS). She kept telling me that she couldn't tell me anything because "we haven't seen YOU". I told her multiple times that I live in Buffalo, not Rochester. This is not me scheduling an appointment just gaining more information about my cat's history. But, she insists on arguing with me back and forth when I am already stressed about my cat and her well-being. To think that we spend hundreds of not thousands of dollars with vets and you can't even get one to speak with you is insane. Let alone having a snarky woman who is the front-desk person, act like you speaking with her is a problem and even crazier to think this situation was funny in any way. The audacity to be laughing and giggling, I'm so confused. This situation isn't about your ego it's about my cat. Which I would hope that we have come into this field with at least a care about the animals. People like this cry about their wages but behave this way while expecting a raise. It's the bare minimum to be respectful as a public facing employee and to show some sort of empathy to other people. I would've been FIRED if I behaved even a hair like this in that position. She felt like this was her super star moment to feel like some celebrity. Stop treating people on the phone like some low-life who doesn't take care of their pets. All of my cats are well-taken care of and up to date with everything. Shame on this facility and this "Vet Receptionist". Sugar is also disgusted at how we were treated. Replying back: That response was nonsensical at best. Teddy even stated that she felt that this issue was not taken seriously. She had went to you guys for months prior to her decision to rehome. It's obviously that nobody has any idea what was wrong with sugar or any idea what they are doing as far as gastrointestinal issues are concerned. Just be honest about that and not give me the run around with some airhead receptionist. It's unfortunate that your pride and bs was at the expense of lives we were supposed to be saving. I simply asked for the treatment plan for sure - AS I STATED IN MY ORIGINAL REVIEW. None of that was given. Why am I having to ask my vet about your plan as her previous vet? It's an attempt to avoid responsibility for your negligence. You don't care about confidentiality. You care solely about profits and what we can do to benefit you and your practice. End of story cut the nonsense. I don't care anything about that client care nonsense. Do your jobs properly and most importantly be a decent human being and care about the pets and pet parents you're treating. THERE IS NO EXCUSES for this nonsense, none. Stop deflecting responsibility.
