Westmonte Animal Clinic

I've been going to Westmonte since I recently adopted a new pup, and they have been amazing! The staff is excellent; the veterinarian is both informed and pleasant, and you can tell she enjoys what she does. My dog is not comfortable around other dogs she does not know, and the staff works with me on each visit to keep everyone safe. I can't say enough positive things about Westmonte after visiting for the past year.

I am very disappointed with the service provided today when they euthanized my family dog Timmy. Every person I talked today who has gone through a similar experience told me their dogs went calmly and peacefully. Instead in this place, they didn’t bother to wait for the sedatives to kick in and Timmy left us very suddenly. We wanted to have a special good byes moment on FaceTime and for him to go slowly. What happened was the veterinary came in put the fatal injection while Timmy was standing and fighting back. Then, immediately after the infection he fell and his tongue was hanging purple so fast and sudden. We were all crying and couldn’t even process the moment. They lacked of empathy given the hard moment we went through as Timmy was with us for 15 years and was like another member of the family. It was close to 5 pm and they just wanted probably to be done fast without taking care of the feelings of the family. My parents couldn’t say anything as they do not speak English and I was trying to tell them to slow down on the phone but they didn’t bother to try to hear what we were trying to say. Very sad that after Timmy was a patient for years he didn’t get to go peacefully but instead he left us in terror. I am traumatized and have the horrible moment coming to my mind frequently.

I always recommend this place to my friends and family. The entire staff is so friendly and professional. Dr Matagrano is incredible! You can tell she cares for these animals and she knows what she’s talking about. The pricing is fair, the service is fast and I’ve never had an issue with them in the five years I’ve been bringing my cats to her.

Took my kitty in for the first time here and I was very pleased! The office was clean and smelt great unlike some places I’ve tried in the past. The receptionist was great and got us right in, same day, for my baby’s yearly shots and exam. The vet and vet tech were great as well! They took great care of my kitty cat and you can tell they genuinely care for the animals they treat. I’m happy to have found an awesome vet I can count on! I’ll be back here for all my kitty vet trips. :) -update 2 years later with a pic :)

My Akita has been coming here for years. Staff and Dr. are absolutely amazing. Everyone is so kind and caring. The building itself is very clean and always smells + looks great. My pup is not a people person but loves Dr. Matagrano.
