Having recently moved to Rhode Island I needed to find a vet for my two dogs. One dog needed ACL surgery and both dogs needed annual vaccinations. I can’t begin to tell you how pleased I am with everything from the start to the finish from the receptionist to the doctor from the actual office. Everything was phenomenal. It was the best move. I could possibly have made for my pets. Thank you so much and I will continue to see you on a regular basis.

Washington County Veterinary Hospital is an excellent place for receiving care for pets. All the staff works diligently to make it a good experience for the pet and their owner/caregiver. It’s not an easy job! The staff isn’t necessarily fluent in the particular pet’s language. And some animals become extremely non-complainant b/c of fear ~ they may be in pain or have had a less than pleasant experience in the past……or even many. So, usually, it takes a bit longer to be seen than expected. But everyone, the Veterinarians, as well as the staff, make a stellar effort. (When my dog refuses to get onto the exam table, his doctor sits in the floor to examine him!) Everyone there, each staff member and each of the Vets, is kind and compassionate and the Vets do their best to keep the costs down. However, having a pet is expensive and it’s important to be aware of that before making the commitment. Even when your pet will be a rescue ~ it’s definitely worth reading more than a brief paragraph about wthat particular breed before taking the pet home! It’s a big commitment and you don’t want to short change your pet by not getting him/her/them the best care. That’s why I continue going to Washington County Vet Hospital ~ because the Vets know what they’re doing and provide top notch care.

We came in on a Saturday morning for our kitten, who had hurt toes and had an upset belly. Everyone was amazing over there, and Lucas was such a kind and helpful tech. It’s wonderful to experience such calm and clear-headed care! The cat was a mess from being sick in the car, and Lucas got him cleaned up and sorted out right away. Dr Lopes was so patient with us, and took extra time out to explain everything twice-once to me and again to my son, who had lots of questions. So grateful to have such a competent team for our dear fur babies!
