This place used to be great but new ownership has made them a rip off. My golden doodle had 11 puppies and this being our first litter of puppies didn’t think to ask how much it would cost for their shots and first visit. They charged us $1,800! I was so mad. I had to wait in the car while my wife finished checking out. I used to take my dog here but their new office manager or owners have changed their business from providing a vet for an honest price to overcharging. Take my advice go somewhere else.

  • Overview

Welcome to Walhalla Veterianian Clinic

This introduction pertains to Walhalla Veterianian Clinic, a Pet Hospital located in West Union, SC, at the address SC-11, 29696, USA. As a local pet hospital, it would typically be expected to offer a range of veterinary services and potentially related goods for pet owners in the area. However, the provided customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding recent changes at the clinic, particularly concerning pricing and front desk operations. Therefore, this introduction aims to objectively summarize the information available from these reviews to help local users make informed decisions.

Based on the recent customer feedback, the environment and overall experience at Walhalla Veterianian Clinic appear to have shifted, reportedly negatively, under new ownership or management. One reviewer who stated the place "used to be great" now describes it as a "rip off." This sentiment is echoed by another former customer who believes the business has changed from providing services at an "honest price" to "overcharging." A specific instance cited involves a charge of $1,800 for the first visit and shots for a litter of 11 golden doodle puppies, which the owner felt was excessive, especially without prior communication about the cost. This suggests a potential lack of transparency in pricing or a significant increase in fees under the new management.

Another detailed review focuses on the front desk operations, describing them as disorganized and inefficient across multiple visits. The reviewer recounts a frustrating experience with a confirmed online appointment that the front desk staff seemed unaware of and were unhelpful in resolving, particularly given the reviewer's visual impairment and reliance on the appointment confirmation. Despite praising the doctor and the assistant in the back as "wonderful, compassionate and competent," this reviewer ultimately expressed a lack of desire to return due to the negative interactions with the front desk. This indicates a disconnect between the quality of clinical care provided by the veterinary staff and the administrative experience at the clinic.

Regarding the services offered at Walhalla Veterianian Clinic, the reviews provide limited direct information. We can infer that standard pet hospital services such as vaccinations (as mentioned for the puppies and in the appointment issue), general check-ups, and potentially other medical treatments are available, given that it operates as a veterinary clinic. The positive remarks about the doctor and assistant in the back suggest that the clinical skills and compassion are still present. However, the negative feedback overshadows specific details about the range of services. To obtain a comprehensive list of the current services offered, it would be advisable to contact the clinic directly, keeping in mind the reported issues with front desk communication.

The features of Walhalla Veterianian Clinic, based on the recent reviews, present a dichotomy:

  • Potentially Competent and Compassionate Veterinary Care: The doctor and the assistant in the back are described positively in terms of their skills and compassion.

However, significant negative features are also highlighted:

  • Reportedly High and Unexpected Pricing: Multiple reviewers suggest overcharging under new ownership.
  • Inefficient and Unhelpful Front Desk Operations: Issues with organization and handling appointments are reported.
  • Lack of Transparency in Costs: At least one customer was surprised by a very high bill without prior discussion.

These contrasting points suggest that while the clinical care itself might be satisfactory, the administrative and financial aspects of the clinic are currently a cause for concern among some former and potential customers.

No information about current promotional offers at Walhalla Veterianian Clinic can be gleaned from the provided reviews. Given the negative feedback regarding pricing, it would be prudent for potential new clients to inquire about the costs of services upfront and ensure clear communication before proceeding with any treatments.

For local users in West Union, SC, considering Walhalla Veterianian Clinic as their Pet Hospital, it is crucial to be aware of the recent feedback. While the veterinary care provided by the doctor and the assistant is reportedly good, there are significant concerns about pricing practices and the efficiency of the front desk. Potential clients may want to:

  • Inquire about pricing for all services upfront to avoid unexpected high costs.
  • Be prepared for potential issues with the front desk, especially regarding appointments and communication.

Given the strong negative sentiments expressed in the reviews regarding the new ownership and management, local users might want to weigh these concerns carefully against the reported quality of the clinical care provided by the back-office staff. For more information, you can attempt to contact Walhalla Veterianian Clinic directly, keeping in mind the reported issues with the front desk. Their address is SC-11, West Union, SC 29696, USA.

The front desk doesn’t have it together not the first time I visited not the second time not the third time not this morning. The doctor and his assistant in the back are wonderful, compassionate and competent, but the people in the front make it all not wishing to go back three people on the front desk all three on the phone and not attending to anybody coming in but that was not the point the point was I had an appointment at 9 o’clock, after pressing the button that said make an appointment for your Lulu to take care of her shots I did I got a confirmation. I walked in the girl doesn’t know anything about an online system and he’s arguing with me. I stopped arguing and I told her it’s possible you don’t know anything about that is perfectly fine even though I’m showing her the email and they online Appointment I am legally blind. I have a person who I can’t come back again. Can you kindly squeeze me in and ask her for the very smart girl is but she don’t have an appointment and I keep on arguing. Yes you’re right according to you, I don’t have an appointment, but can you squeeze me in since I am here based on a confirmation of an appointment that you do not knowno goodbye to y’all
