My sons first pet who was 13 had to be put down. Mind you my son is 16 and had this cat since he was 4 weeks old and my son 3 years old. So this was a very difficult decision. My son wanted to be in the exam room and be the last person Milo saw before he crossed over the rainbow bridge and chose to have his ashes returned to us in a cedar box, his paw prints, and a tuft of fur. After we spent time with our sweet fur baby as he was put to sleep we left in tears. 2 weeks later my son asked, how come we hadn’t heard from the vet about his remains. I called today (2 weeks later) and was told there was a mix up at the crematory and they didn’t have anything to give to us. (Where they just not going to tell us!?) They apologized, but I told them that there was no excuse for losing a family member. Pets are family members. And they could explain it to my teenager as to why he has no remains, paw prints, or fur of his childhood pet of 13 years. I’m absolutely disgusted at this clinic and will not ever use them or suggest them to anyone.
