Vista Falls Veterinary Hospital

First of all, I would like to say thank you to Dr. Tim Emory for the wonderful care he has taken with ALL of my fur babies!!! I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I have moved to Saluda and still drive to Mills River because we love him so much!! I would like to ask that people who look at the reviews, keep in mind you can never please everyone. The 1 star review left by Auntie is NOT who Dr. Emory is!! He is the most genuine, sincere and caring veterinarian you will meet!!! He absolutely is NOT in it just for the money. This lady based her review on a phone call, without even meeting Dr. Tim or Dr. D. The fact that Dr. Tim took the time to respond and apologize is an example of who he really is. As far as a Godly man, he is a very Godly man. But, I guess you’d have to meet him to really know. Again, thank you to Dr. Tim and all of your staff for loving our babies!!!!! 🐾❤️🐾

I’ve actually been wanting to go to this vet for a while now because of all the amazing things I’ve heard, and I finally got the chance to! I was highly impressed. The environment is top notch, as soon as you walk in you are met with smiles and a cozy waiting area (fireplace too!) that feels very welcoming to you and your animal. The vet tech was thorough and made sure to go in depth on topics I wasn’t educated on. Dr. Dabiero was phenomenal. Unlike other vet offices, I didn’t feel rushed at all. They took the time to explain everything about my pets care and answer any questions I had. I also really appreciated that the vet tech gave me a run down of prices for everything being done before paying, so it wasn’t a shock at check out. 5 stars!

We recently moved to the area and were in need of a sudden appointment due to a cracked dog nail. Dr Cody Pfister and staff were friendly and explained all recommended treatment and pricing before any procedure was done so that there were no surprises. Pricing seemed straight forward and I am happy to have found this office.

Edit in response to the owner's comment: This is exactly what I mean.. Your words sound nice but they're clearly not genuine. In what way did you address any of the concerns I stated? Why can't you tell the price of a simple vaccine? You say you would like to start again, like in another bad review of your staff when you asked that reviewer to reconcile with you, but you never provide any means to do so. It's all PR. What I said does represent who you are because it's YOUR policies. I would warn people to beware: The most convincing salesman is the one who sounds the nicest and acts the friendliest.. and gets you to spend 3x the price because of it. Animals aren't objects and the quality of care is most important but a vaccine is a vaccine, generally speaking, and there's no reason whatsoever to hide the price of that except to take advantage of people. Wow. I would never trust this vet. I was literally told by a rude receptionist that she is "not allowed to give out prices" when asking about the price of vaccines. It's a rabies vaccine! You can't tell what your price is on that? No other vet that I've ever encountered has tried to hide their vaccine prices.. and when I tried to ask why, I was just met with long silence and finally a snarky "is that all you needed today?" You can bet that means they are up-charging like crazy and taking advantage of people. This is how you can tell the difference between vets who care and vets who only are in it to make money. That receptionist is absolutely awful and obviously the vet/owner has directed her to be deceptive. If you can't even be transparent with a simple vaccine price, God only knows how you'd swindle someone for a surgery or something like that. And to think the owner tries to portray himself as some godly man.. his untrustworthy policies and rude staff say otherwise. But unfortunately you have to be careful of insincere people who will try to talk about God and religion as some sort of selling point because they know there are people in these areas who automatically favor a "Christian"-run business.

Such a great hospital! I was concerned about my pups eye and they got me in immediately. Everyone is super nice, pleasant to be around, and genuinely took an interest in making my pup feel welcomed. This vet is definitely a hidden gem among all the over-rated, expensive, “assembly line” vet hospitals in/near Asheville. Highly recommend!
