Dr. Pivonka is just the most caring, knowledgeable vet. Another area vet turned away our very sick cat with kidney problems and she saw him right away, made sure he got his meds and then days later wanted to make sure he had fluids for over the weekend and switched shifts with another vet to make sure to be in the office to give him fluids and show me how to administer them if need be over the weekend. She was so kind and spent time with us to share her knowledge. She truly cares about animals and their well-being. I will highly recommend her anytime and will be switching all of my animals to her care.

Customer reviews present a mixed view of Village Vet. One reviewer praised Dr. Pivonka for her compassionate and knowledgeable care. They recounted a situation where their sick cat with kidney problems was turned away by another vet, but Dr. Pivonka provided immediate care and went above and beyond to ensure the cat received necessary fluids and medication. They highlighted Dr. Pivonka's dedication and genuine care for animals.

However, another reviewer expressed significant concerns about the clinic's diagnostic accuracy, particularly regarding mast cell cancer. They reported that an in-house cytology performed on their dog's sore was deemed benign, but later testing revealed it was cancerous. They emphasized the importance of sending cytology samples to a lab for definitive diagnosis and recommended seeking vets who offer STELFONTA for small tumors and PALLADIA for spreading cancer. They also warned about potential overspending at oncology referrals and suggested finding vets who can provide these treatments directly.

The reviews highlight a contrast between compassionate care provided by Dr. Pivonka and concerns about diagnostic accuracy. The positive review showcases Dr. Pivonka's dedication to patient care, while the negative review raises concerns about the clinic's ability to accurately diagnose potentially serious conditions like cancer. This suggests potential inconsistencies in the clinic's service quality.

Due to the mixed reviews, potential clients are advised to exercise caution and seek further information. It is recommended to discuss diagnostic procedures and treatment options thoroughly with the veterinarian, especially for potentially serious conditions. Pet owners may also want to seek second opinions or explore alternative clinics for specific diagnostic or treatment needs.

Refer to attached photo-PLEASE READ IF YOUR PET HAS A BUMP OR SORE- you need to act fast your pet might have mast cell cancer. This vet did an in house cytology that said my dogs sore was benign when it wasn't, you need to send it to a lab to know for sure. If it is smaller than a quarter find a vet that offers STELFONTA. A removal of the abcess is less effective and if margins are bad(like with my dog) it will come back worse. If the cancer is spreading you need find a vet that will write you a prescription for PALLADIA( this is not chemo) (with benedryl and prednisone) and the generic brand of this is much cheaper. These smaller vets will refer you to an oncologist where you will spend thousands. Try to find a smaller vet that will work with you to do the things i have listed above so you will not waste time and money like i did.

My 13+year-old Maltipoo, Harley, has been a patient at Village Vet since November, 2022. Doctors and staff have brought him trendous pain relief through a series of aculaser treatments. I can see the improvement during his daily walks and through his overall movement. Our Village Vet experiences have been welcoming, professional, safe and effective.

We absolutely loved our first visit. 100% professional. We felt completely comfortable, taken care of, and not rushed. What was intended to be a visit because of unavailability at our regular vet, has decidedly turned into a permanent move!
