Villa Park Veterinary Hospital

Soooo incredibly disappointed. We came here for the first 4 years of my dogs life and then we moved, tried out a local vet and was disappointed so we decided to make the long drive to where we were more comfortable. Unfortunately, Dr. Melissa is out on leave and she was the absolute best! However, today was horrible. It took 30 mins past appointment time for anyone to come in the room, and then because my dog was barking occasionally at new people their new vet said he had to be muzzled, which scares my poor dog. He’s never been muzzled there before and warms up very quickly if the doctor had ever even decided to come into the exam room, which she didn’t. Ended up leaving without his vaccines or exam because it was either muzzle or sedate him with Trazadone. Super bummed that we had this type of experience. Picture of my dog that barks at new people.

I have gone to a plethora of different veterinary hospitals where I was not satisfied with their services and pricing. With the amount of positive reviews this clinic has received I decided to give it a go and honestly it’s been the best experience. The clinic is very small but everyone whether front desk, vet tech or veterinarian is very friendly and helpful. The only veterinarian that saw my pup was Dr. Franklin and boy oh boy was she amazing. This was the first time I have encountered a veterinarian who not only cared for the patient but the clients as well. For reference, I went in with my pup since she had some crusty looking skin on her hind legs. Being the worrisome dog mom I just had to take her in in case it was something more serious. Dr. Franklin checked her out and laid out ALL options of what we could do about her skin. She talked about least invasive to most invasive options, mentioned rough pricing, as well as gave her input on what she would recommend doing with what she saw. Dr. Franklin did an amazing job explaining everything and really took the time to answer any questions/concerns we had. Additionally, the pricing of the clinic is truly not bad and it makes it worth while knowing your pet is in good knowledgeable hands. I would recommend this veterinary hospital especially if you are looking for a smaller and quieter office.

They all were so passionate, patient, loving, and to me, my wife, and our precious little Love in it final day. We can't thank them all enough. God bless you all, and thanks again

Our dogs love Dr. Franklin and her team! She is so great with them and they feel so comfortable with her. Prices are fair and the people are really nice.

My deaf husband went to get information from this clinic because our dog suffered a tail injury. All we wanted to know was how much the standard office visits were. The lady was rude saying we can't know until we see the dog. How can an employee not know what a standard office visit costs? We wanted to get an idea of how much we would need to spend by calculating visit, meds etc. When trying to speak further she locked him out since office visits are closed. We saw nothing but great reviews so we assumed this place would be full of caring people. They lost our business which is a shame we live a few blocks away.
