Welcome to VetIQ Petcare Vaccination Clinic
VetIQ Petcare Vaccination Clinic, located at 761 Airport Rd, Hazleton, PA 18202, operates as a unique and accessible option within the "Pet Hospital" category. Unlike traditional full-service veterinary hospitals, VetIQ Petcare focuses specifically on non-emergency, preventive pet care. This wellness center is often found inside retail locations, such as Walmart, aiming to make essential veterinary services more convenient and affordable for pet owners. You can reach them at (570) 497-5116 or mobile at +1 570-497-5116.
The operational environment of VetIQ Petcare Vaccination Clinic is designed for accessibility and efficiency. Being located within a retail store like Walmart, it offers a familiar and convenient setting for pet owners to integrate veterinary visits into their regular errands. This "store within a store" model is part of PetIQ's broader strategy to provide convenient and affordable preventive veterinary services. The focus is on a streamlined experience for routine care, aiming to reduce the intimidation and cost often associated with traditional vet visits. The environment is less about comprehensive, complex medical procedures and more about quick, effective preventive services. Customer reviews highlight that the staff and veterinarians are "very friendly," "helpful," "kind, caring and informative," suggesting a welcoming and supportive atmosphere despite the retail setting. This business model is particularly beneficial for pet owners looking for transparent, upfront pricing without additional office visit fees, making essential care more attainable for a wider demographic, including many who might make less than $60,000 a year.
VetIQ Petcare Vaccination Clinic specializes in preventive and minor medical care. Their services are designed to address the foundational health needs of dogs and cats, ensuring pets stay healthy and receive necessary screenings. Key services include:
- Vaccinations: This is a primary service offered. For dogs, this includes Rabies, 5-in-1 (DA2P + Parvovirus), Bordetella (intranasal and injectable), Leptospirosis, Lyme Disease, Rattlesnake (regional), and Influenza (H3N8/H3N2) vaccines. For cats, they offer PureVax® Feline Rabies (non-adjuvanted), IMRAB® Rabies (adjuvanted), PureVax® 3-in-1 (FVRCP), and PureVax® Feline Leukemia (FeLV) vaccines. Vaccinations are available for pets as young as 6 weeks old, following specific age-appropriate schedules.
- Testing: They provide essential diagnostic screenings such as Intestinal Parasite Screening for both dogs and cats, Heartworm Disease Test (annual for dogs over 6 months or after a lapse in prevention), and Feline Retroviral Testing (FeLV/FIV) for cats.
- Microchipping: This crucial service helps ensure pets can be identified and returned to their owners if lost.
- Minor Medical Exams: For non-emergency medical needs, VetIQ offers minor medical exams. This allows for assessment of common, less severe conditions without the full scope and cost of a traditional emergency or complex veterinary visit.
- Nail Trims: A common grooming and health maintenance service readily available.
- Deworming and Tapeworm Treatment: To address common parasitic infections.
- Service Packages: To provide more comprehensive preventive care at a discounted rate, VetIQ offers bundled service packages for both dogs and cats. These packages include a preset series of vet-recommended vaccinations and screenings, aiming to simplify wellness care and offer cost savings. Examples include "The Vital Package" and "The Choice Package" with varying levels of included services.
It's important to note that VetIQ Petcare is a non-emergency clinic. For severe injuries, complex illnesses, or urgent medical conditions, pet owners would need to seek care from a full-service veterinary hospital or an emergency veterinary clinic.
VetIQ Petcare Vaccination Clinic differentiates itself with several unique features:
- Affordable and Transparent Pricing: A core tenet of their model is affordability. They offer "transparent, up-front pricing with no office visit fees," meaning customers only pay for the specific services they receive. This contrasts with many traditional clinics that charge a consultation fee for every visit. This makes essential preventive care more accessible, particularly for pet parents on a budget.
- Convenience and Accessibility: The clinic's location inside a retail store like Walmart makes it incredibly convenient for pet owners to get routine care without a dedicated trip to a veterinary office. They often accommodate walk-ins, and online appointment scheduling is also easy to obtain, sometimes even for the same day, which adds to the convenience.
- Focus on Preventive Care: By specializing in vaccinations and wellness services, VetIQ encourages a proactive approach to pet health, helping to prevent more costly and severe health issues down the line.
- Friendly and Informative Staff: Consistently praised in reviews, the staff and veterinarians are noted for being "very friendly," "helpful," "kind, caring and informative." They are willing to answer questions and guide pet owners, fostering a positive experience.
- No Appointment Needed (Walk-ins Welcome): While online appointments are available and easy to obtain, the option for walk-ins provides maximum flexibility for busy pet owners.
The provided customer reviews serve as excellent promotional material, highlighting the clinic's key strengths:

May 18, 2024 · LT PAI came to get my dogs anal glands cleared out. While they were professional they were not calming, kind, nor patient with my dog. I’m not saying my dog is perfect but he is very calm poodle mix and weighs 25lbs. They pulled him onto a counter, wrapped him in a bear hug and started the job. He reacted badly, fought hard and tried to bite. Though I was surprised I don’t expect anyone to put up with that so didn’t complain when they put on a muzzle. They tried again and he fought so they gave up and said he would clearly have to be sedated which they don’t do there. Every question I asked was returned with a curt “it’s our policy, you’ll have to go elsewhere”. This whole interaction took less than three minutes. They did recommend other offices. I’m not arguing with their policy or the choice they made, I’m bugged at how they treated my dog. Not once did they try to talk to, pet, or calm him. They didn’t take 30 seconds to let him get used to the office or even smell their hands. There was no opportunity for him to NOT struggle. Compare this to little bit ago when I took him to a groomer for similar care (Auntie Liz's Diamonds In the Ruff) they pet him, talked to him and let him get used to them before picking him up. As they clipped his nails and cleared his anal glands they talked to him and calmed him when he tried to struggle (they couldn’t get it totally clear and recommended I go to the vet). The whole event took about 20 minutes beginning to end and we all left happily, including my dog. This is the love and care I expect professionals to give my pets.
Mar 09, 2024 · Jacob StirlingI was recommended here for the 1st time for my 17 month old german rottweiler for an ear infection and I must tell you, I'm very impressed how the girls there was so gentle and nuturing towards my dog while cleaning her ears. That's is very important for owners. The workers were not scared at all to handle her and my dog trusted them. The vet was very kind and helpful. Thank you for your services. I will definitely recommend to friends and family.
