VetIQ Petcare

As of 12/26/24, this place doesn’t exist anymore. I went because the reviews said it was an affordable walk-in clinic, but when I got to the address listed on Google maps, it’s literally in the middle of a cemetery. I drove around the surrounding area thinking maps just had the address wrong, but when I couldn’t find it I called the clinic’s listed number and it says the business is “temporarily closed.” Guess that’s what I get for not calling ahead of time, but didn’t think to do so since it’s a walk in clinic. Either way, not sure how the business is only “temporarily” closed when the building no longer (or never did?) exist at the location given as their address. Frustrating experience and hope I can save someone else the trouble/waste of time by posting this review.

So I have been tight on money and my regular full veterinarian is extremely expensive. I brought my 10 year old German Shepherd to Dr. Cantrell. Just a routine exam, well-being check, needed more of his medication. I really can’t speak for VETIQ specifically, but I can with the veterinarian. Honestly THE best I have ever had an encounter with (and I have seen a lot considering I’ve had German Shepherd with numerous medical issues for years) I wish I found him sooner. Unfortunately that location will be closing soon. They will be losing an outstanding Veterinarian. Above and beyond satisfied.

The first day I tried this business I waited in line a half hour just to be told that it would be a four hour wait! It was suggested that I try to come the next day at noon when they opened. I did that. So did six other people. This is an "affordable" veterinary care facility so it's in high demand. It is clean and bright. The staff was nice enough. The place is not set up with exam rooms so you have to answer questions and give private info in front of everyone. You also have to hand over your sweet little "fluffy" to the tech and wait while they take him in the back and do their thing. I'm not a fan of that arrangement ever. Seating in the waiting area is minimal. Though it's connected to the Walmart, it is separate from the store. You have to exit the vet office and walk outside to the Walmart entrance. That won't be pleasant in 120 degree summers. You definitely will have to use the Walmart for restrooms and hydration. The benches get pretty hard on your bottom during a four or five hour wait. Walk in convenience comes at a cost. I have used other affordable vets and though it's still on a first come first served basis, they did intake so the preliminaries were done while you waited. Also, the pet was examined and treated on the spot. I would have liked talking to the vet myself and showing him the problem my pet was experiencing. In spite of the wait all the owners were pleasant. Only one dog barked. In my opinion, a much bigger space should have been allocated and separate waiting rooms. However, if have you need a vet that truly takes walk ins, then by all means give VetIQ a visit. The exam was $30 but treatment and medicine can be pricey. They suggest using the Walmart pharmacy but you have your pet with you. Later I took it to another one and discovered that the vet had not supplied his ID number. The information says they are available almost all the time,but there was no one answering. The prescription remains unfilled.

Took my little rescue pup in for vaccinations. The staff and vet are very nice . The Dr was very thorough . Pricing is great.

Very nice and attentive staff. The vet my dog saw was very caring and through. I highly recommend this vet. It is walk in only, no appointments. I feel my dog received better care here than the more expensive vets I used to take her to. I will for sure be brings all ym dogs here.
