My pup Archie was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor and had two other growths that were also of potential concern. Our vet recommended VSx and Dr. Wosar and at that first consult I knew we were in the right place. We knew we had to have the mast cell tumor removed but there were various ways to approach the other growths, each with different risks and costs. With Dr. Wosar's guidance we made a decision for our approach that seemed medically sound, pragmatic with regards to Archie's risk and experience, and cost effective (because even though we have insurance, they never cover everything). Not only did I feel very comfortable with our decision for how to proceed, but every staff member who interacted with Archie was very kind and patient with my fearful pittie. It helped me know that he was comfortable and loved, even during this scary time when I couldn't be with him. The surgery went smoothly and we got the best outcomes possible from the biopsies as well! I'm so thankful to Dr. Wosar, Liz, Cos, and Megan for taking such great care of Archie!

Feb 13, 2025 · Ildi KI was so happy with my experience at Veterinary Surgery Center of Chicago. They performed a CT scan on my foster dog, as she needed advanced diagnostics prior to a surgery that we had scheduled for her. Liz was easy to work with in scheduling. The staff was very sweet to my foster pup, who has been through a lot, so it was nice to see her at ease with them. Dr. Wosar was great in explaining the procedure and was quick to follow up with the results. It's great to have a new and innovative facilty for Chicago's veterinary surgical needs!
Jan 27, 2025 · Laura KrillAfter our pup tore his CCL this summer, Dr. Wosar performed his TPLO and the process and communication could not have been smoother. We had no idea what to expect and were terrified of our dog going through this procedure but Dr. Wosar walked us through everything, answered the many questions (and follow-up questions) we had and our dog healed incredibly well. When Bowie tore his SECOND CCL just 9 weeks after his first surgery, Dr. Wosar explained how normal this was and helped get us through his second surgery. In just five months our boy is back to 100% and you would never guess he had these huge surgeries. We remark often how we are so lucky we had Dr. Wosar as Bowie’s surgeon. Very happy Bowie has no more CCLs to tear!
Feb 06, 2025 · Rachel KlousnitzerCannot recommend enough! I was so nervous with my pup's TPLO surgery and the doctor, nurses and staff here have been incredible. Not once did I feel rushed in an appointment or call. The surgery went smoothly, they follow-up and made me feel like their only client (which is far from true). Knowing me, my dog, being flexible & available. Thank you!!
Feb 22, 2025 · Rabia UsmaniDr. Wosar was so kind, patient, and thoughtful at our visit and in follow up. He took a lot of time to go through all surgical options for my cat and made sure I understood the risks and benefits of each option. Truly wonderful bedside manner.
