The staff was friendly, courteous, and attentive to me and my dog who was sick. They kept me informed. They sent me adorable pictures of him while he was in the hospital and they gave him back to me with a full set of instructions and reviewed his prognosis and future with me in a caring and helpful manner. I highly recommend them !

I’m back to add to my previous 5 star review. This hospital has been the only thing keeping us together during our dog’s journey with IVDD. In June 2023 they were able to get our dog to surgery quickly through the ER and took great care of him during recovery. Now his IVDD flared up again and we emailed neuro and they are able to take him the next day. Every person we have encountered has worked so quickly and kindly to help our dog Roman. From triage to neuro to ER, even the neuro liaison Riley has been so quick to help us get Roman the care he needs. It sucks being in the position where your dog needs help but we are so thankful for this hospital and its staff. See you soon :(

First off we were referred to VSH by MANY friends and family. We went in with some a pretty devastating diagnosis from our vet and was then referred to come here for further cancer treatment. From the first second we walked we felt like we were at the right place. The staff is very patient, kind, professional, and amazing with our baby. We knew our girl was in good hands and they make the process very simple and we felt included the whole way. They are very responsive and communicative every step of the way. Our girl was diagnosed with a malignant carcinoma and Dr. Kyle Chu is really one of the best in the business. He is very intelligent, kind, and made sure we were all on the same page about our next steps. He and his team did an amazing job performing surgery to remove the cancerous mass in our girl and is amazing! When we dropped her off there was a possibility that she would have to be amputated but that didn’t happen because of this amazing team working so hard and carefully to remove the mass. I am beyond grateful for them and everything they do here. We have always felt extremely comfortable and in the right hands here. Upon picking our girl up you can just feel the love in the staffs hearts while handling our fur baby. They really have a love for animals and don’t treat you like a number. That’s so important especially when going through such a difficult time trying to make the right decisions for our girl and her health/ well being. I’m beyond grateful for these Angels on earth!!! I am so impressed with the Sorrento Valley specialty hospital.The neuro team diagnosed my dog with an autoimmune disorder back in June. The episode came on very suddenly and it was very frightening, but they put us at ease and I knew Bear was in good hands. The whole neurology team is wonderful as well as all the staff.Alyssa has been especially kind and helpful.She has been with us every step of the way. She has done a great job with follow up. I am so grateful for the expertise and kindness from everyone we have encountered.

Everyone at Veterinary Specialty Hospital were so helpful with my puppy and I’s late night emergency. They were very informative and urgent to help my puppy. My wife and I are beyond grateful for the amazing staff that took extra care to make sure our puppy was comfortable and had a good experience despite the circumstances. We will definitely return!
