Your day is never great when your vet tells you to take the cat to the ER immediately. Our vet called ahead and let them know we were coming. We were in the waiting room for about 3 minutes before they took our cat back. The staff was very caring and did a great job on making us and our cat their focus. Ultimately, we did have to make the hard decision to put our cat down that day when they found an aggressive tumor. But they did an amazing job of explaining what was going on, providing transparent pricing, and taking good care of our cats. Was it cheap, absolutely not, but it was money well spent. They made me feel they had taken all the necessary steps to rule out any treatment options and ensure I didn’t leave my cat suffering. It was a hard day, but they made me feel okay with the decision and even several days later I am not wondering “what if I did something else…”. I appreciate the staff and the thoroughness of their diagnostics and the care they have us and our cat.

Mar 29, 2025 · Matthew WeirathThis place SAVED my dogs life. I brought Brutus in after a full day of him not acting like his “normal” self, and having zero energy. We were seen very quickly (being there at 1am probably helped with that part). He was brought back quickly, had an ultra sound, and was found to have a blood and a mass in his abdomen. The dr I spoke with was kind and straight to the point of how serious this was, and the potentially fatal outcome. He was admitted quickly and had emergency surgery, coded, ended up with some heart arrhythmias (which resolved 6 weeks later), but survived. Without the hard working and attentive staff, Brutus would have died. Everyone was very helpful and kind during this entire process, and even let us come visit him while he was in the doggy ICU. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs urgent care.
Mar 26, 2025 · KayeLynnI cannot recommend the Oncology Department at the Veterinary Specialty Center enough! They gave my dog, Kali, the absolute best care and compassion during such a challenging time. Not only did they give me an extra year with her, but they made sure she was comfortable and happy every step of the way. Dr. Song is truly amazing—her expertise, kindness, and attentiveness were unmatched. She always took the time to explain everything thoroughly and was mindful of my budget, which I truly appreciated. The entire staff treated Kali like their own, and it was clear how much they genuinely cared for her. Kali loved going there, and that speaks volumes about the wonderful environment they create for their patients. If your dog is battling cancer or lymphoma, I wholeheartedly recommend the Veterinary Specialty Center. Their exceptional care, compassion, and dedication make all the difference during such a difficult journey. I will always be grateful for the extra time and happy memories I was able to have with Kali because of them.
Jan 23, 2025 · Jamie SikoWe’ve been taking our pets to VCA for years and have always gotten compassionate and professional care. Our most recent experience for our dog’s surgery was no different. The entire staff took great care of him, was helpful and communicative, and we had complete trust that he was in competent hands. Cannot recommend them highly enough!
