Life-Saving Care & Compassionate Team! I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Veterinary Specialists of Birmingham! A couple of weeks ago, my cat became seriously ill, and I was absolutely terrified. From the moment we walked through their doors, the entire team was incredibly kind, professional, and thorough. The veterinarians and staff took the time to explain everything to me, answer all my questions, and most importantly, provide the expert care that saved my cat’s life. Thanks to their dedication and skill, she has made an amazing recovery, and I am beyond grateful. A huge thank you to Dr. Thomas, Dr. Hoff, Daniel, Mason, and Kerry for their incredible care, compassion, and support throughout this journey. You all made such a difference, not just for my cat, but for me as well. I can't say enough good things about our recent emergency visit to this veterinary clinic with my dog, Louise. The reception was warm and welcoming, instantly putting us at ease during a stressful moment. Every staff member we encountered was not only professional but also incredibly kind and compassionate. Louise was experiencing an allergic reaction, and they took immediate action to ensure she was comfortable and well cared for. The team explained everything clearly and made me feel confident that Louise was in the best hands. It's clear they truly care about their patients and their humans. I’m so grateful for their expertise and empathy during such a scary time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this clinic to anyone needing exceptional care for their pets. This place is beyond amazing! They were so unbelievably kind to me and my cat, Gus, when we came in for a potential intestinal blockage at 3 am. They took great care of him and were super kind and reassuring to me. He came home safe and sound and was completely well taken care of while inpatient here. They treated him so kindly and were amazing! Thank you VSB!

I came in at 3:30 AM. My dog had a collapsed trachea and was struggling badly to breathe. They took him back immediately, ran X-rays and gave him medications that saved his life. Two hours later he was calm and breathing normally again. They were very upfront with me about the costs of all testing and let me give the okay on cost before they ran the tests and X-rays. The facility was very clean and neat and the staff was wonderful. I am so grateful for what the did for my baby dog!

We almost lost my 4 month old Doberman, Roxy, due to drowning. She was in bad shape when we pulled her out of the water. We called VSB because it was after hours and our vet was closed. They told us to bring her in immediately & we did. From the moment we walked in the door they were so kind to her and us. She went into ICU and was there from Friday until Sunday. They welcomed my calls as often as I needed to check on her and welcomed us visiting her anytime I wanted. The night crew was just as thorough and caring as the day crew. They gave me detailed updates as often as I needed them. They were always professional but treated us like family at the same time. They put thought and care into her treatment and now she’s back home with me. My husband and I were very impressed and extremely grateful for them. This was probably the most traumatic experience of my life and I am so thankful they were the ones we trusted to help us. I honestly felt more confidence in them than our regular vet. I definitely felt like they cared more about her.

The staff and Doctors at VSB are amazing! I am so grateful for how upfront and honest you were with helping me make the best decision for his care. The Dr. actually referred us to another vet who she felt would be able to care for his needs without the more invasive surgery route. The less invasive procedure was successful. It was so nice to know they actually cared about what was best for him and his predicament above all else. I am elated that Cash is home and recovering. Thank You So Much!
