Nancy and the team at veterinarian referral & emergency center of Westbury were beyond outstanding in helping with the injured bird, a Robin, that was on our front porch this weekend! After walking me through the best way to bring it to them unharmed, they took it to a rehabilitation center and made sure it was healthy and then released it. It was a great experience for our family to see an injured animal helped back to its natural environment. Thank you Nancy and the Dr.'s and Team at Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center of Westbury!

I can’t thank Nancy enough for her kindness. I brought my shepherd in tonight because she ingested a small amount of the Hydrogen Peroxide and wasn’t able to throw up. My baby was received by a nurse immediately upon my arrival even before i fill out any paperwork. They performed the vital and told me my puppy will be fine. What is most amazing is that they didn’t charge me anything since it’s a quick vital check. This is a facility that cares! i was so nervous about my puppy’s health and the cost before i went in but so beyond relieved and touched when I was told my baby would be okay and there’s no charge at all. They are there to help not to solely make a profit! If I have any further vet related emergency, I will feel so comfortable knowing my beloved pet families are in good hands with good people. Strongly recommend this clinic for any of your veterinary needs

When my precious cat Marceline started breathing fast and labored, I was absolutely terrified. When referred to this hospital, Dr. Kimmel took over her care and kept me in the loop. She made me feel so at ease in an extremely stressful situation, and sent my baby home breathing easier, with medication to keep her on the right track. I can’t thank the team enough!!

If i could give them more then 5 stars, i would! When my poor senior dog was fighting for her life after being attacked by another dog, Dr Hampton saved her!!! She took her under her care like it was her own. I couldn't thank her enough. She was so kind , understanding, always had a smile on and made sure i was OK with everything she was doing to my Bella along the way. The hospital is immaculately clean and the staff is so understanding and friendly. I highly recommend!!!!

There’s a reason this hospital has so many bad reviews. VCA Westbury’s malpractice, negligence, and dishonesty directly led to the death of my cat, GreyGray. On March 15th, I was told over the phone that she was not in critical condition — by a vet who was chewing food during the call. Trusting that, we stayed in Vermont. Hours later, we got a sudden call saying she was dying. By the time we arrived, she had already passed. Their medical report falsely claimed they told us she was critical that morning — a complete lie.During GreyGray’s final moments, my friend was with her in the ER and FaceTimed me so I could be there virtually. Just 5 minutes in — way before the 15-minute visitation limit — my friend was forced out of the room so another pet parent could come in. Not sure if this was discrimination or just cold-hearted policy enforcement, but it was completely unacceptable. Moments later, GreyGray went into cardiac arrest. I was robbed of the chance to say goodbye. The next day, I received a careless text from the hospital asking how she was doing “after her ER visit.” That kind of automated follow-up after a death is deeply traumatizing. Lastly, I prepaid for two days of emergency care but received an unexplained partial refund after one day — no invoice, no breakdown, no communication. I didn’t just lose my cat — I lost her in a place full of lies, carelessness, and complete disregard for grieving pet parents. VCA Westbury owes families more than this. Heartbreaking and unacceptable. I am reporting this to the NY veterinary licensing board.
