Dr Reynolds took good care of our girl who is not the easiest dog to deal with. She’s the only vet in Martin I trust. I will be sad to have to find another vet when we move out of Martin next month. Thank you for everything, Dr. Reynolds.

Welcome to Veterinary Home Healthcare & Canine Chiropractic

For pet owners in Martin, Union City, Troy, and surrounding areas of West Tennessee, Veterinary Home Healthcare & Canine Chiropractic offers a distinct and highly personalized approach to animal care. Located at 105 Haygood Rd, Martin, TN 38237, this "Pet Hospital" stands out by bringing quality veterinary services directly to your doorstep, a particularly valuable feature for pets who experience stress at traditional clinics or for owners with mobility challenges. Led by Dr. Debbie Reynolds, the practice emphasizes holistic and integrative medicine, combining traditional veterinary care with alternative therapies.

The environment for Veterinary Home Healthcare & Canine Chiropractic is unique, as a significant portion of its services are delivered in the comfort and familiarity of the pet's own home. This eliminates the anxiety often associated with car rides to the vet or unfamiliar clinic settings, allowing for a more relaxed and accurate assessment of your pet's health. As one satisfied client noted, "Dr. Debbie came to my house was caring, kind, and loving. She was amazing with my elderly pup and me. I was a basket case and she took her time examining Marley, talking to me, and explaining everything to me. Rates were so reasonable and the service so convenient. I will no longer go to any other vet. My babies deserve the best, and Dr. Debbie is the best!" This testimonial perfectly encapsulates the core benefit of their in-home service: a stress-free environment for the pet and a more personalized, unhurried experience for the owner. While they have a physical address, the emphasis is on the mobile, house-call aspect of their practice, creating a truly 'fear-free' environment for their patients.

Veterinary Home Healthcare & Canine Chiropractic offers a comprehensive suite of services that blends traditional and holistic approaches, fulfilling its role as a versatile "Pet Hospital." Their offerings are designed to provide tailored care, focusing on wellness, healing, and quality of life for dogs and cats. Key services include:

  • House Calls: This is the cornerstone of their practice, providing convenience and reducing stress for pets and owners alike.
  • General Veterinary Care: Including physical examinations, preventative medicine, vaccinations, and diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses.
  • Canine Chiropractic: Dr. Reynolds is a certified veterinary chiropractor, offering adjustments to help with mobility issues, pain reduction, and overall musculoskeletal health in dogs. This can be beneficial for conditions like hip dysplasia, arthritis, and certain neurological conditions.
  • Holistic and Integrative Treatment: Beyond traditional medicine, they incorporate alternative therapies such as pet aromatherapy, herbal remedies, and potentially laser therapy.
  • In-Home Pet Dental Cleaning: Providing convenient dental care in a less stressful setting.
  • Hospice and Palliative Care: Compassionate support for elderly or terminally ill pets, focusing on comfort and quality of life during their final days.
  • Pet Home Euthanasia: Offering a peaceful and private end-of-life experience for pets in their familiar surroundings.
  • Diagnostic Services: While primarily a mobile service, they facilitate necessary diagnostics such as blood work, urinalysis, and other lab tests.
  • Pharmacy Services: Providing necessary medications, often with a focus on natural alternatives where appropriate, through their associated "Blessed Pet Shop."

The defining features of Veterinary Home Healthcare & Canine Chiropractic revolve around its patient-centered, compassionate, and integrative philosophy. One of the most significant features is the emphasis on being a Fear Free certified practitioner. This means Dr. Reynolds and her team prioritize a gentle, low-stress approach, avoiding force or restraint, and using positive reinforcement (like treats and affection) to make veterinary visits as comfortable as possible. This is particularly crucial for animals with anxiety or those who are difficult to handle in a clinic setting, as evidenced by a review: "Dr Reynolds took good care of our girl who is not the easiest dog to deal with. She’s the only vet in Martin I trust."

Another prominent feature is their holistic and integrative medicine approach. Dr. Reynolds, with her certification in animal aromatherapy and chiropractic care, seeks to address the root causes of health issues and promote overall wellness, rather than just treating symptoms. This comprehensive view allows for a wider range of treatment options, from conventional pharmaceuticals when necessary, to natural alternatives and therapies. The convenience of house calls is a paramount feature, saving owners time and reducing stress for pets, especially for elderly or anxious animals, or for owners with limited mobility, as highlighted in the customer review mentioning the owner being "bedridden." The practice also runs "The Blessed Pet Shop," which offers a curated selection of natural pet products, further supporting their holistic philosophy.

While specific ongoing promotional information is not extensively advertised in publicly available information, the clinic's commitment to "reasonable rates" and convenient service is a consistent theme in client feedback. The nature of a mobile veterinary service often involves a travel fee, but the overall value and personalized care can outweigh this for many pet owners. For pricing details and to inquire about any current offers, such as potential new client specials or packages for their specialized services (like chiropractic adjustments or hospice care), prospective clients are encouraged to contact Veterinary Home Healthcare & Canine Chiropractic directly. Their phone numbers are (731) 819-5149 and +1 731-819-5149. They operate Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and are closed on weekends. Their focus on building long-term relationships and providing individualized care suggests they may have flexible arrangements or package deals for regular clients, but this would need to be confirmed directly with the clinic.

In conclusion, Veterinary Home Healthcare & Canine Chiropractic serves as a unique and invaluable "Pet Hospital" for Martin, TN, and its surrounding areas. Under the compassionate leadership of Dr. Debbie Reynolds, it offers a distinctive blend of traditional and holistic veterinary services, delivered with the unparalleled convenience and comfort of in-home care. The emphasis on a Fear Free approach, specialized canine chiropractic, and a personalized, integrative medical philosophy sets it apart, making it an excellent choice for pet owners seeking dedicated, gentle, and comprehensive healthcare for their beloved animal companions.

I had the good fortune of finding Debbie. I am bedridden and unable to bring my babies to the vet. Dr. Debbie is the best!

Veterinary Home Healthcare does more than just "take care of" the animals under their supervision. I have never met a Veterinary staff (an entire staff!) who actually love my pets! Recently, I had to leave my puppy over several days with Dr. Debbie due to medical reasons. Not only did I receive regular updates on how she was doing, I was comforted by knowing that she was actually being fed, watched over and loved by Dr. Debbie herself that entire time (which included a weekend). I felt comfortable and confident while my pup was away due to the knowledge that she was LOVED during our absence.

I love Dr. Debbie! She is awesome. She is so loving and compassionate towards all animals and people. She provides good care and compassion to all pets at a reasonable price. She is easy to make an appointment with and does not rush through the appointment. She spends time making the pet comfortable to ease their nervousness and thoroughly explains everything to the owner. She makes it convenient and stress free for everyone. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Debbie and her staff. I recommend Veterinary Home Healthcare to anyone with a pet!

Dr. Debbie is amazing! We have 4 different dogs that all react differently to the vet. She and her staff were wonferful with all of them. They went above and beyond with our rescue dog to make him feel comfortable and not panic. They were super gentle with our big dog who gets extremely excited and loving with our playful one. We just got a new baby and Dr. Debbie was so gentle with her. Overall a wonderful experience for us all! Plus she worked so well with my crazy schedule and last minute changes. Amazing!!!!!
