I came here with my cat after she was vomiting at an alarming rate, late at night. I was able to call and have one of their vets comment on the situation before bringing my cat in. After this I got a text letting me check in during my Lyft ride there, so when I got there, they already knew who I was and we were able to get things going right away. I even had coffee or tea or water offered to me, I've never had a vets office offer that to me as I sat with my cat at a table. That set a great feeling of feeling cared for right at the start. The staff here were all very kind, very gentle with my cat, and we're patient as they answered my questions.e they helped put me at ease immensely while I was under a great deal of stress. They also are up front in what kind of pricing for what kinds of tests and procedures they could run, via a "high" and "low" estimate. Are they more expensive than a normal vet? Yes, but honestly less than I feared. You don't come here for a normal vet appointment, you come here for being able to drop by immediately at any hour of any day, with them able to do X-rays and blood work and from what I saw many other procedures on the spot then and there. As I was frantically looking for a vet open late on a Saturday night, and hearing this location is not only not closing soon, but will be open all night all week, was priceless. Being able to avoid the spiraling thoughts of "should I have called earlier and been able to bring her to a vet day of instead of waiting for them to open again on Monday and gambling" was very helpful. Thank you to the vets and techs who were there that night. I missed most of your names, but I saw the great poster at the front desk showing the staff there and a wonderful cat who I glanced once while there with my cat. Seeing that cat just wandering around out of nowhere put such a smile on my face when I needed it most. I am extremely thankful this 247 vets office exists for emergencies, is staffed by great vets and techs, and is priced within reason. Thank you.

Welcome to Veterinary Emergency Group

For pet owners in Brooklyn, New York, and the surrounding areas, knowing where to turn in a pet health emergency is paramount. Veterinary Emergency Group, located at 1950 Ralph Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11234, USA, stands out as a dedicated "Pet Hospital" providing 24/7 emergency veterinary services. Unlike traditional veterinary clinics with standard operating hours, Veterinary Emergency Group is specifically designed to address urgent and critical situations that can arise at any time, day or night, offering immediate care when your beloved animal needs it most. The positive reviews highlight their efficient service, compassionate staff, on-site diagnostic capabilities, and a comforting environment during stressful times.

As a specialized "Pet Hospital" focusing on emergencies, Veterinary Emergency Group offers a crucial service that goes beyond the scope of regular veterinary practices. Their round-the-clock availability, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, provides pet owners in Brooklyn with invaluable peace of mind. When faced with alarming symptoms like persistent vomiting, sudden illness, or injuries, knowing that a qualified veterinary team is ready to assist immediately can be life-saving for your pet and significantly reduce anxiety for you. The ability to call ahead and receive advice from a vet before even arriving, as mentioned in one review, demonstrates their commitment to prompt and responsive care.

The services offered at Veterinary Emergency Group are geared towards rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of emergency conditions. This includes immediate veterinary consultation, physical examinations, and on-site diagnostic capabilities such as X-rays and blood work, as highlighted by a satisfied customer. Having these diagnostic tools readily available allows for quick identification of the problem and the initiation of treatment without delay. From the reviews, it's evident that they handle a range of emergencies, including severe gastrointestinal issues and other alarming symptoms requiring immediate attention. Their ability to perform procedures "on the spot then and there" is a significant advantage in emergency situations where time is critical.

While the primary focus is emergency care, the environment and patient experience at Veterinary Emergency Group are also noteworthy. One reviewer mentioned being offered coffee, tea, or water upon arrival, a thoughtful touch that contributes to a feeling of being cared for during a stressful time. The staff is consistently described as kind, gentle with the animals, and patient in answering questions. This compassionate approach is crucial in an emergency setting where pet owners are often highly stressed and worried. The team's ability to put owners at ease while providing efficient care is a significant feature of this "Pet Hospital." Furthermore, they are reported to be upfront about the estimated costs for tests and procedures, providing both "high" and "low" estimates, which promotes transparency and helps owners make informed decisions during an emergency.

A unique feature mentioned in one review is the presence of a friendly cat wandering around the clinic, which unexpectedly brought comfort to a pet owner during a stressful visit. This small detail suggests a more relaxed and perhaps even home-like atmosphere amidst the urgency of an emergency setting. Additionally, the presence of a staff poster with photos further humanizes the experience and allows pet owners to feel more connected to the team providing care.

While emergency veterinary care typically comes at a higher cost than routine check-ups, several reviewers at Veterinary Emergency Group found their pricing to be reasonable, especially considering the immediate availability and comprehensive services offered. One customer specifically stated that the cost was "less than I feared," emphasizing the value of having access to immediate care without exorbitant fees. The peace of mind that comes with knowing a 24/7 facility is available, eliminating the agonizing wait until a regular vet's office opens, is described as "priceless" by one grateful pet owner.

Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. Emergency veterinary services often do not rely on promotions due to the urgent and unplanned nature of their use. The value proposition of Veterinary Emergency Group lies in its immediate availability, comprehensive emergency care capabilities, and compassionate, transparent service, rather than promotional offers.

In conclusion, Veterinary Emergency Group, located at 1950 Ralph Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11234, is a vital "Pet Hospital" for the Brooklyn community, providing 24/7 emergency veterinary care. The positive reviews consistently highlight their efficient and fast service, the kindness and gentleness of their staff, their on-site diagnostic capabilities (including X-rays and blood work), and their transparent approach to pricing. The comforting environment and the peace of mind that comes with knowing immediate care is available at any hour make Veterinary Emergency Group an invaluable resource for pet owners facing urgent health situations with their beloved animals. I brought my Fiona in last week for an emergency. She had a really upset stomach, and I was so worried about her., She’s only two years old, my little girl. They treated us so well at Vet Emergency Group! They were fast and efficient.. The veterinarians were so sweet and kind. They quickly diagnosed the problem and now it will be later. On Friday, February 7, 2025, I brought my two-year-old dog to V.E.G. for a check-up, as I had some concerns about his well-being. Having had positive experiences at V.E.G. in the past, I was hopeful for a similar outcome, and I was not disappointed. The entire staff was, as always, pleasant and courteous. My dog can be quite reactive, but the team handled him with remarkable care and professionalism, clearly prioritizing his comfort and managing his anxieties effectively. I appreciated their willingness to accommodate my request for a comprehensive evaluation, even though it ultimately turned out my dog's condition was not serious. The thoroughness of the examination provided me with significant peace of mind, knowing that V.E.G. had carefully assessed his health and confirmed everything was within normal parameters.

First of all me and my fur baby say Thank You so so much to the VEG team, they were amazing!! Unfortunately my cat went through a scary situation and I was terrified/ worried for him. I rushed him to the VEG Ralph team and they immediately attended him, they were super sweet and attentive also very comforting especially in such scary time. They also made sure me and my pet felt comfortable. Throughout the process of any exam or fluids or injections that were given to him they always made sure to inform me what they were for and how it would help him. I am happy to say my fur baby is doing okay now. I am very grateful to this amazing team. Mucca is also very thankful for caring for him, in such scary event ♥️

I’m so very thankful for everyone that took their time to help my cat who had a horrible wound in his abdomen. The surgery was a bit pricey but that’s to expect. They took great care of my cat and recommended multiple things in order to help him recover properly. The wound looked super clean after the surgery, they’re the best! Now my cat is healthy and a bit chubby ☺️
