Went to call around past midnight of Sunday because I noticed the bruising and a little bleeding of the gums of my dog. Called them and made sure they were open to take care of my dog. When I got in I was seen right away to check in. Even though I waited a few hours, I do understand since they’re very busy at the time and they were multiple animals being attended to. As soon as it was my turn, they checked my dogs blood count right away. Gave me an estimate of the whole hospitalization. It was very expensive. More or less almost $4k. But I understand its because its emergency. Told me from the jump needed platelet transfusion and have to stay the whole day or even overnight. I was so so happy because I was able to be by my dogs side throughout the whole process. They set up a room for us so I can also sleep since I haven’t slept the whole day. They did the transfusion while i was beside my dog in a bed. Like who does that? That is so amazing because my dog knows im here for him. And i believe that kept him calm too. I was there for a total of 23 hours. And everyone has been so kind to me. My dog is still recovering and has a long way to be recovered but I am happy I went here on time to have my dog do the platelet transfusion and start medication right away since my vet is not open until monday. I would like to thank everyone who attended to my dog. And sorry because my dog gets feisty when being poked. Thank you everyone. I hope and pray that my dog gets better 🙏🏽

Dec 03, 2024 · Hannah DeeDr Tool and staff were amazing. Dr Tool showed compassion and knowledge with my pup. Whitney the vet technician was extremely patient and you can tell had a vast amount of knowledge. Stella the assistant was so positive and was eager to assist the Doctor and Technician. She even made a cafecito when I asked if they had coffee(late night). Amazing experience.
Nov 22, 2024 · Karl DiazI have no way of thanking the entire team at this place, from the reception to the manager. The doctors, the nurses, everyone without exception, because although some were not directly with Blue, they helped in one way or another. My dog was in a coma, she arrived at the veterinary emergency group in very bad condition. They did everything, absolutely everything so that Blue would get out of the state she was in. They were with her day and night, they explained each step and procedure to me and I was able to be with her at all times. I couldn't be more grateful, honestly they inspired a lot of confidence in me. In addition to the peace of mind they gave me and Blue, who they gave infinite love to. Thank you so much to everyone.
Nov 16, 2024 · Odaisy Becerra MolinaAmazing ER! Brought my senior dog here as she was having problems urinating. I was able to speak to a vet before bringing her in to see if that was the best course of action. They prepared me for intake before I even arrived. When I did they immediately looked at her & assessed a course of treatment. They gave me a breakdown of pricing & gave me several options that would be best suited for my pet & I. They explained everything through every single step & let me be a part of her treatment. Even when I was denied for care credit, the vet recommended another course of action & I was able to bring my baby home. 1000% would recommend. They truly care & are not just trying to get your money from you. Today has been one of the most stressful days of my life & I don’t know how I would’ve been able to handle it at another spot with another team. I’m so incredibly thankful for Dr. Gonzalez, Yoandry & the rest of the team!
Oct 06, 2024 · Kimberly NunezI can't express enough gratitude to this place and the entire team that worked on Sunday morning and night to save my little Jolie. I came in desperate as she had severe blood loss and I was losing her. They started working on her right away and allowed us to be with her through every step. Despite the fearfulness of the situation, I felt at peace seeing how well they treated my baby and other pets, which made me feel secure. We were able to stay and hold our baby during all the procedures, and the entire staff was amazing. Dr. Gonzalez and the team performed a miracle and saved Jolie. She stayed overnight, and I was able to be with her. I received text updates from the night doctor when I couldn't be there. All I feel is immense gratitude. Jolie is on her path to recovery thanks to the quick action of this team. Thank you!
Jul 23, 2024 · Ailen StyleThank You to the Team 🙌🏽 I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the team for their incredible care. Yes, it can be pricey, but when we mentioned that we weren't ready to spend 2k on her symptoms, they were understanding and adjusted the treatment to focus on the basics, which was just what she needed. I'm so relieved to say that my puppy is feeling so much better! They gave us the correct medications and even sensitive stomach dog food to give her. We did follow up with her Vet @ Banfield and they supported everyting VEG did! During a difficult time at 4 am when my dog was experiencing severe vomiting and diarrhea, the staff were nothing short of attentive and compassionate. It really showed that they care deeply for the animals. I felt reassured knowing that the team was confident in handling her situation. I was touched to see one of the veterinarians sitting with a lovely Lab, showing genuine love for the animals they treat. While there are always mixed reviews, my experience was overwhelmingly positive. The late-night staff members we encountered were especially kind and had such a warm demeanor, which made us feel safe and supported. The facility itself is stunning and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, making it feel like a scene from a movie. It was comforting to see that they also have a diligent cleaning crew; I was worried when my dog had an accident, but they handled it efficiently and professionally. I would absolutely return for any future emergencies. Thank you, VEG, for everything you've done for us!
May 15, 2025 · AliThis last Friday I had to rush my cat to emergency because of gagging and kind of erratic behavior. This was my first time going to emergency and didn’t know where to go. After a quick search on Yelp and Google and reading some of the reviews, I decided to go to Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Edgewater. It’s within a mile from my place so it was good that I didn’t have to go across town this late during the night. Upon arrival, I was greeted and they started examining the cat. There was zero wait for me on a Friday night at 2 am, yes zero wait. The place is pretty clean, modern, with a lot of equipments onsite. The personnel was pretty knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to explain what it could be, what they were proposing, the financials, everything. I can’t be happier with the professional service I received. Around 4 am, I was heading out with a treatment, x-rays and full examination done, etc. A few days later, they even called me to follow up and see how he was doing. This was a surprise for me, not even doctor offices call you to see how you are doing. I really give them kudos for that. Thanks VEG for making this less stressful than what it could have been.
Mar 20, 2025 · Frank GarciaDear Veg group Veterinary Team, I wanted to extend my deepest gratitude to each of you for the incredible care and compassion you showed while treating my beloved dog, Bean. Thanks to your expertise, quick action, and genuine concern, Bean is not only alive today but on the road to a full recovery. It’s hard to put into words how much your support meant during such a frightening time. From the moment we walked in, I felt that Bean was in the best possible hands. Thank you to Dr. Gonzalez, Nichole!!!!, Joshua, The kind gentleman whose name I cannot remember but he prayed over her before anesthesia, EVERY SINGLE PERSON THERE. From the receptionist to the general manager; Your kindness, patience, and dedication made all the difference—not just in Beans recovery, but in giving me peace of mind during an emotional and stressful experience. Thank you for saving Bean’s life, and for doing what you do every day with such care and compassion. You are truly heroes in scrubs, and I will be forever grateful. A quick and honest thank you as well to Nichole for her hard work and dedication. I cannot thank her enough as well. She as well as everyone there are tremendous assets to the veg group. My absolute grateful. With heartfelt thanks, Ashely and Bean Jean ❤️‼️🤞🏾

My baby was there for a few days on and off toward the end of her life and I could not have asked for a better group of people to care for her. Dr Mish and Dr Bush along with the rest of the staff were nothing short of amazing with her and with us.

May 15, 2025 · Maria StraussThank you so much to everyone on the team for helping my dog and for being incredibly supportive and attentive to us as owners during such a difficult and emotional time. I came in Sunday afternoon with my 13-year-old dog who was in a lot of distress and not doing well. It was terrifying, but from the moment we arrived, the team took immediate action. Dr. Mish didn’t hesitate for a second to begin helping him, and both she and Dr. Gonzalez were compassionate, supportive, and incredibly thorough. Thanks to their care, they were able to diagnose and stabilize him enough to get him healthy and ready to go home. I truly believe their fast and thoughtful response made all the difference. What meant the most to me was being allowed to stay by my dog’s side all night and into the next day. They set us up in a private room with a bed so I could be close to him, and they gave me updates throughout the night without me ever having to ask. Most veterinary offices wouldn’t even consider that, and it meant everything to me. I wish I knew all of the nurses names, but all of the nurses on both the night and day shifts were so attentive and caring. They constantly checked on my dog, made sure he was comfortable with warm blankets and a soft bed, and were always ready to answer any questions I had. One nurse in particular, Nicole, stood out for how dedicated she was—always checking on her patients and treating them like her own. This was a truly heartfelt and warming experience during one of the hardest moments I’ve faced with my dog. I’m beyond grateful we ended up at this emergency vet. The level of care, compassion, and humanity we received is something I will never forget. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
