My Sadie girl was diagnosed with Addisons disease and needed to be admitted, the Nurses and her Doctor were so amazing with her. They call/text updates, I even got 2 pictures of her one night before bed and that was so comforting for me. She loves to be snuggled up❤️ They also let me & my boyfriend come visit her and give her some love. We are eternally thankful for the care they have shown Sadie. We are so happy she is home!!❤️❤️ Picture on left is a few weeks before we knew she had Addisons, middle is while she was in the hospital, and on the right is after she returned home❤️

Welcome to Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester
Located at 2743 Brown Ave, Manchester, NH 03103, USA, the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester (VECM) stands as a vital and indispensable "Pet Hospital" dedicated to providing critical and emergency care for animals around the clock. With phone numbers (603) 666-6677 and +1 603-666-6677, VECM serves as a beacon of hope for pet owners facing unforeseen medical crises with their beloved companions. Unlike a regular veterinary clinic, VECM is specifically designed and staffed to handle urgent and emergent conditions, offering immediate attention when every second counts for your pet.
---
The environment at the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester is clearly built for emergency situations, focusing on efficiency, advanced medical capabilities, and patient comfort. Customers consistently describe the facility as "clean and very big." A large waiting area is a practical necessity for an emergency center, accommodating multiple clients and their pets, sometimes during stressful, high-traffic periods. Beyond the waiting area, the cleanliness speaks volumes about the professional standards maintained, which is paramount in a medical setting to prevent infections and ensure a sterile environment for procedures. The reviews also highlight the comforting aspect of the environment, particularly during a pet's hospitalization. The ability for owners to "come visit her and give her some love" indicates a facility that prioritizes the emotional well-being of both the patient and their family. This open and compassionate approach, even in a high-stress emergency setting, underscores their dedication to holistic care, acknowledging the profound bond between pets and their humans.

The services offered by the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester are specialized and comprehensive, focused solely on urgent and emergency veterinary medicine. These services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. While not an exhaustive list, their core offerings typically include:
- Emergency Triage and Stabilization: Immediate assessment of critical patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and stabilize them, ensuring they receive life-saving care as quickly as possible.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Rapid access to on-site diagnostic tools such as blood work (e.g., for Addison's disease diagnosis), urinalysis, advanced imaging (digital radiography, ultrasound, and potentially CT scans), and ECG for cardiac evaluation. This swift diagnostic capability is crucial for accurate and timely treatment, reducing diagnostic delays.
- Intensive Care and Hospitalization: Round-the-clock monitoring and care for critically ill or injured pets requiring inpatient treatment, as exemplified by Sadie's admission for Addison's disease. This includes fluid therapy, oxygen therapy, pain management, and continuous observation by a dedicated nursing staff.
- Emergency Surgery: Capability to perform urgent surgical procedures for conditions such as trauma, foreign body removal (like the "boy" who got into the trash), GDV (bloat), and other life-threatening surgical emergencies, with experienced surgeons on staff.
- Toxicology and Poison Control: Expert treatment for pets who have ingested toxic substances, as seen with the "boy" who got into the trash, including decontamination and supportive care.
- Trauma Management: Comprehensive care for pets involved in accidents, such as being hit by a car, falls, or animal attacks, addressing multiple injuries and critical conditions.
- Pain Management: Aggressive and effective pain control protocols are a priority, ensuring patient comfort throughout their emergency and recovery process.

Several features make the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester stand out in the critical care landscape. Foremost is their 24/7 availability, providing a constant safety net for pet owners when their regular veterinarians are closed. The reviews consistently praise the staff: "the Nurses and her Doctor were so amazing with her." This highlights the highly skilled and compassionate staff who are not only equipped to handle complex medical conditions but also possess a deep understanding of the emotional toll emergencies take on pet owners. The emphasis on communication is a significant feature: "They call/text updates, I even got 2 pictures of her one night before bed and that was so comforting for me." This proactive and empathetic communication, including sending photos, provides immense comfort and reassurance to worried owners, building trust even in stressful circumstances. The ability for owners to visit their hospitalized pets is another compassionate feature, reinforcing the bond between pet and owner during treatment. Despite being an emergency service, the customer's comment, "I do not trust people with my boy unless it is his vet he has had for 8 yrs, however I did feel comfortable with this crew," speaks volumes about the level of trust and professionalism instilled by the VECM team. The fact that the pet owner had a "pleasant visit" even after a follow-up visit for the same issue underscores the consistent quality of care and interaction. The focus on immediate and effective care for conditions that "warranted attention" is their core competency, saving lives and providing rapid relief to pets in distress.

Regarding promotional information, while an emergency center doesn't typically run seasonal sales or discounts in the traditional sense, their primary "promotion" is the assurance of immediate, high-quality, and compassionate care during a crisis. The testimonials serve as powerful endorsements, showcasing their success stories and client satisfaction. The explicit acknowledgment of their pricing – "They are extremely pricey but that is because it is a emergency visit" – is a form of transparent communication, setting realistic expectations while justifying the cost due to the nature of emergency services, specialized equipment, and 24/7 staffing. This transparency can build trust with pet owners. Other "promotional" aspects would include:
- Strong Referral Network: Building strong relationships with primary care veterinarians who confidently refer their emergency cases to VECM, demonstrating inter-clinic trust.
- Informative Online Presence: A clear, accessible website detailing their services, hours, and what constitutes an emergency. They likely provide valuable resources on pet first aid or what to do in various emergency scenarios, empowering pet owners.
- Financial Options: While not explicitly stated in the reviews, most reputable emergency hospitals understand the financial strain of unexpected veterinary bills and often offer or accept third-party financing options like CareCredit or provide guidance on pet insurance.
- Community Engagement: Potentially participating in local pet health events or educational initiatives to raise awareness about emergency preparedness and their role in the community.
---
In conclusion, the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester at 2743 Brown Ave, Manchester, NH, serves as an essential "Pet Hospital" specializing in 24/7 critical and emergency veterinary care. Its environment is clean, spacious, and designed to facilitate advanced medical interventions while offering comfort to both pets and their anxious owners, even allowing visits during hospitalization. The comprehensive services range from emergency triage and advanced diagnostics to intensive care, emergency surgery, and toxicology management. The most significant features are their round-the-clock availability, the exceptional skill and compassionate communication of their nurses and doctors, and their ability to build trust with owners during highly stressful situations. While acknowledging the higher cost associated with emergency care, their unwavering commitment to saving lives, providing comfort, and keeping owners informed positions VECM as an invaluable and highly recommended resource for pet owners in the greater Manchester area facing an unexpected medical emergency.

May 14, 2025 · Jordan MadelineBrought my boy in because I was a bad owner and let him get into the trash, The doctor was great, the techs were great. I do not trust people with my boy unless it is his vet he has had for 8 yrs, however I did feel comfortable with this crew. We ended up back there 6 days later but it was for his paw again had a pleasant visit. They are extremely pricey but that is because it is a emergency visit. The facility was clean and very big waiting area.
Feb 04, 2025 · Joe GI’ve had to come into this wonderful Emergency Vet twice within the last 2 1/2 months due to my French Bulldog LuLu ingesting some hair (first time) and a medication (second time). They took her in right away to induce vomiting and were so kind, compassionate and caring. Everything (follow up instructions) were explained to me with warmth and care The front desk staff were truly wonderful and so was Dr White and the nurses. Couldn’t ask for a better experience both times. Thank you so much for taking the best care of my little girl! ❤️
Apr 03, 2025 · Kelly VergeLast week, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our beloved cat, Wilma, as her health had declined. Despite our wishes to say goodbye at home with an in-home vet, neither our regular vet nor the in-home vet were available. Our only option was the emergency vet, where the staff was incredibly compassionate, guiding us through the process with genuine care and empathy. We are deeply grateful for their support during such a difficult time.
Feb 19, 2025 · Christina EnsellHighly recommend . My dog had emergency surgery for obstruction of a bladder stone. Short wait time and fair price especially for an emergency hospital, great communication - doctor was thorough with her explanation of treatment and nurses kept me informed of her progress, clean facility and friendly staff.
