Horrible experience. Rude and incompetent staff from the start. Took someone who was late in front of people who were there on time, making them now 25 minutes behind their schedule. Vet started screaming at the customer in front of me. Next, I overheard the vet saying how she "hates people!". Now it's my turn and I'm told I have to redo his Bordatella shots because no one ever instructed me that the second shot had to be done within a certain time frame. Completely unacceptable. If you love your fur babies, DON'T bring your pet to Vetco - pay a little more and find a good vet!!!

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce

Vetco Vaccination Clinic, located at 1060 US-9, Parlin, NJ 08859, USA, operates within the ‘Pet Hospital’ category, focusing primarily on providing vaccination services for pets. While the name suggests a straightforward and efficient process for pet owners seeking to vaccinate their animals, the limited customer reviews available online paint a concerning picture regarding the clinic's staff, operational procedures, and overall customer experience. Potential clients should carefully consider these firsthand accounts before entrusting Vetco Vaccination Clinic with the care of their beloved pets.

One reviewer described their experience as “horrible,” citing rudeness and incompetence from the staff right from the beginning. This negative initial impression can significantly impact a pet owner's confidence in the care their animal will receive. The review further detailed an incident where a late arrival was prioritized over clients who were on time, causing a 25-minute delay in their schedule. Such issues with scheduling and time management can be frustrating and inconvenient for pet owners who have allocated specific time slots for their pet’s appointments.

More alarmingly, the same reviewer overheard a veterinarian at the clinic “screaming at the customer” in front of them. This type of unprofessional behavior in a service environment, especially one dealing with the sensitive topic of pet health, is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on the clinic’s standards of conduct. Additionally, the reviewer overheard the veterinarian expressing a general dislike for people, stating “how she ‘hates people!’.” Such a sentiment, if genuinely held and expressed within earshot of clients, can severely erode trust and confidence in the caregiver.

The reviewer’s personal interaction with the clinic further compounded their negative experience. They were informed that their pet needed to redo its Bordatella shots because no one had previously advised them about a specific timeframe for the second shot. The reviewer deemed this “completely unacceptable,” highlighting a potential lack of clear communication or proper record-keeping on the part of the clinic staff. This oversight could lead to unnecessary stress and additional costs for pet owners who were not adequately informed about vaccination protocols.

Based on their severely negative experience, this reviewer strongly advised other pet owners, stating, “If you love your fur babies, DON’T bring your pet to Vetco - pay a little more and find a good vet!!!” This emphatic warning underscores the level of dissatisfaction and concern this customer felt regarding the care and service provided at Vetco Vaccination Clinic.

Another reviewer expressed an equally negative sentiment, stating they would leave “0 stars” if possible, describing their experience as “awful.” Their visit involved bringing a large Lab/Shepherd mix in for a rabies shot. Being aware of their dog’s protective nature, the owners proactively used a muzzle and informed the vet and her assistant about it. Despite this precaution, the staff insisted on holding the dog themselves.

The reviewer recounted that the assistant “forcibly grabbed” their muzzled dog by the neck. This forceful handling caused the already nervous dog to pull away, a natural reaction to being restrained in an uncomfortable manner. In response to the dog’s understandable anxiety and resistance, the vet and her assistant reportedly stated that they could not administer the shot and that the owners would have to go to a different private veterinarian. This refusal to proceed, especially after the owners had taken precautions by using a muzzle and informing the staff about their dog’s temperament, suggests a lack of experience or willingness to handle animals with protective tendencies safely and effectively.

The reviewer concluded by labeling the staff as “absolutely incompetent,” further reinforcing the serious concerns raised about the clinic’s ability to handle routine procedures, particularly with animals that may require a more patient or understanding approach. The fact that they were turned away for a simple rabies shot due to their dog being muzzled and slightly nervous raises questions about the staff’s training and their capacity to work with a variety of animal temperaments.

The address, 1060 US-9, Parlin, NJ 08859, USA, indicates the physical location of this ‘Pet Hospital’ within the Parlin community. The phone numbers, (732) 721-9610 and +1 732-721-9610, serve as the primary means of contact. However, the severely negative reviews raise significant concerns about the quality of service and care that potential clients might expect when reaching out to or visiting this clinic.

Based solely on the provided customer feedback, there is no positive information regarding the environment of the clinic, the range of services offered beyond vaccinations (such as general check-ups, diagnostics, or other treatments), or any specific features that might make Vetco Vaccination Clinic a preferred choice. The overwhelming negativity in the reviews focuses on staff behavior, competence, and operational issues, overshadowing any potential positive aspects that might exist but were not mentioned by these customers. Similarly, there is no mention of any promotional offers, discounts, or special programs at Vetco Vaccination Clinic in the provided reviews.

In conclusion, the available customer reviews for Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Parlin, NJ, paint a concerning picture. Allegations of rude and incompetent staff, poor scheduling practices, unprofessional behavior towards customers, and a lack of understanding or ability to handle animals with protective tendencies are significant red flags for any pet owner seeking veterinary care. While the clinic’s stated focus is vaccinations, the negative experiences reported suggest potential systemic issues that extend beyond just the administration of shots. Local users considering Vetco Vaccination Clinic should weigh these serious concerns heavily and may want to seek further information or consider alternative ‘Pet Hospitals’ in the area that have a more positive track record of customer satisfaction and pet care.

I would leave 0 stars, if I could. It was an awful experience. We have a large lab/Sheppard mix who we brought in for a rabies shot. He has a protective nature, which we aware of, therefore he was wearing a muzzle. We informed the vet and her assistant of that. They insisted on holding our dog. The assistant forcely grabbed our dog by the neck and our dog got nervous and started pulling away. To which the vet and her assistant said that they can’t administer the shot and we have to go to a different private vet. These people are absolutely incompetent. Parlin, NJ location

Had an appt and was running late due to wrong address. They wouldn’t take me for being 15 minutes late. Appt was at 6:13. Arrived at 6:30. Sign outside says VETCO clinic open until 7 yet they were closed when I arrived. Explained I texted their service letting them know I was late yet still wouldn’t accommodate. Employee was nasty and clearly wanted to check out of her day earlier then needed.

Overcharged me by giving me the wrong package for both dogs and wouldn’t refund. Tech was terrible in handling one of my dogs. Vet was ok.
