Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic
For local pet owners in Portland, Oregon, seeking a "Pet Hospital" focused on providing essential preventative care, particularly vaccinations, Vetco Vaccination Clinic, located at 12020 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97266, USA, offers a dedicated service. While the name explicitly highlights vaccinations, it's important to consider the broader context of a veterinary clinic and the potential range of services they might offer within the realm of preventative pet healthcare.
Information regarding the specific environment of Vetco Vaccination Clinic is limited based on the provided data. However, vaccination clinics typically prioritize efficiency and accessibility for routine procedures. One positive review mentions an "excellent staff" and "customer service," suggesting a professional and welcoming atmosphere. The fact that a customer felt they "didn’t get killed with outrageous fees" might imply a focus on providing cost-effective vaccination services, which can be a significant factor for pet owners seeking affordable preventative care. This could translate to a straightforward and streamlined clinic environment designed for high-volume vaccination services.
The primary service offered by Vetco Vaccination Clinic, as the name suggests, is likely the administration of essential vaccinations for pets, including dogs and cats. These vaccinations are crucial for protecting animals against various infectious diseases and are a cornerstone of responsible pet ownership. Depending on local regulations and the clinic's scope, they may offer a range of core vaccines (such as rabies, distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus for dogs; and rabies, feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia for cats) as well as non-core vaccines based on individual pet risk factors and lifestyle.
Beyond vaccinations, a clinic focused on preventative care might also offer related services such as basic health examinations prior to vaccination to ensure the pet is healthy enough to receive them. They may also provide information and recommendations on parasite prevention, including flea, tick, and heartworm control. Some vaccination clinics might offer microchipping services for pet identification as well.
One of the features highlighted in a positive review is the "excellent staff" and "customer service," particularly mentioning "Dr Jasmine" as "seriously the best vet we’ve been to!" This suggests that while the focus might be on vaccinations, the clinic is staffed by knowledgeable and caring professionals who provide a positive experience for pet owners. The personal praise for the veterinarian indicates a level of expertise and a good rapport with clients.
However, it is crucial to acknowledge the negative review, which details a significant issue with communication and service coordination. The customer described a frustrating experience where they were misinformed about the availability of the second part of a leukemia vaccine for their cats, resulting in a wasted trip and unnecessary stress for their pets. This incident raises concerns about the consistency of information provided to clients and the potential for logistical errors. While one positive review praises the service, this negative experience underscores the importance of clear communication and accurate scheduling in a veterinary setting.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Vetco Vaccination Clinic based on the provided data. Local users interested in learning about any special offers, package deals for vaccinations, or first-time client incentives are encouraged to contact the clinic directly at (503) 889-9171 or their mobile number +1 503-889-9171. Inquiring directly will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on pricing and any current promotions.
Considering the mixed feedback, local users might want to inquire specifically about the clinic's protocols for multi-dose vaccinations and ensure clear communication regarding appointment scheduling and service availability. While the positive review suggests a positive experience with the staff and fees, the negative review highlights a potential area for improvement in terms of communication and coordination of care.
In conclusion, for pet owners in Portland, Oregon, seeking a "Pet Hospital" for vaccinations, Vetco Vaccination Clinic at 12020 SE Division St offers a seemingly cost-effective option with at least one positive report of excellent staff and a highly regarded veterinarian. However, a significant negative review regarding miscommunication and wasted time should also be taken into consideration. Local users are advised to contact the clinic directly for information on their services, pricing, and appointment procedures, and perhaps inquire about their protocols for multi-dose vaccination series to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for their pets.

Jun 03, 2024 · Kalene ClancyWasted our time. Hauled our super shy scared cats in for shots after I called and ask about getting second half of leukemia vaccine 2 weeks after the first half done at good neighbor vet which is recommended and on our paper work. They said yes no problem come on in. Drove an hour to the clinic for the person doing in take to say oh nope we wolnt do that for one more week. Total waste of our time, gas and traumatized our cats for no reason. Would not recommend and will not return.
Feb 05, 2024 · Paige RochelleExcellent customer service and the vet and assistant were great with my nervous little guys.
Mar 15, 2024 · Julie Lux-BellmyerI was able to just go in myself, without bringing my dog in, to refill her Bravecto (flea med). I love that I could spare her the anxiety of having to wait inside with a bunch of other animals. Awesome service and so compassionate.
Jul 26, 2021 · Kate WheelerGreat prices. Rabies vaccine, $19. I also got my girl a chip. Only $19. How can you not do it, at that price. They were quick. Saw me on time. 5 minutes and we were done.
