The vet and tech were unable to get the blood draw on the first, second, or third tries. It took 5 pokes on a calm and well behaved large dog. They no longer allow owners to help and that was frustrating.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce
Welcome to the introduction of Vetco Vaccination Clinic, a dedicated pet hospital located at 225720 Rib Mountain Dr, Wausau, WI 54401, USA. As a vital part of the local pet care ecosystem, Vetco Vaccination Clinic primarily focuses on providing essential vaccination services to protect your beloved animal companions. Operating under the broader category of a Pet Hospital, Vetco aims to contribute to the overall health and well-being of pets in the Wausau area.
While specific details about the clinic's environment are not extensively available online, it's typical for vaccination clinics within the Pet Hospital category to offer a clean and organized setting designed to ensure the comfort and safety of both pets and their owners during the vaccination process. You can likely expect a reception area for check-in and waiting, and designated examination rooms where the vaccinations are administered by veterinary professionals. The focus is generally on efficiency and accessibility for routine preventative care.
The core service offered by Vetco Vaccination Clinic, as the name suggests, is vaccinations. Vaccinations are a cornerstone of preventative veterinary care, playing a crucial role in safeguarding pets from a range of potentially serious and even fatal diseases. These services typically include a variety of essential vaccines for both dogs and cats, tailored to different life stages and risk factors. Common canine vaccinations might include protection against rabies, distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus, and parainfluenza. Feline vaccinations often cover rabies, feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia. It is advisable to contact the clinic directly at (715) 359-3930 or +1 715-359-3930 to inquire about the specific vaccines offered and their recommended schedules for your pet.
Beyond vaccinations, some vaccination clinics operating under the Pet Hospital umbrella may also offer related preventative services such as microchipping, which provides a permanent form of identification for your pet, and basic health checks to ensure your pet is healthy enough to receive vaccinations. It is recommended to confirm the full scope of services offered by Vetco Vaccination Clinic directly through their provided contact information.
Features of Vetco Vaccination Clinic likely include a team of trained veterinary technicians and potentially a veterinarian overseeing the vaccination protocols. The emphasis in such clinics is often on providing efficient and affordable access to essential preventative care. The convenience of a clinic focused on vaccinations can be appealing to pet owners seeking routine preventative care without the need for extensive diagnostic or treatment services typically offered at a full-service veterinary hospital.
However, it's important to consider feedback from local users to gain a balanced perspective. Some online reviews indicate potential challenges with certain procedures. One review mentions multiple attempts being needed for a blood draw on a dog, which caused frustration for the owner, especially with a policy of not allowing owner assistance. Another review raises concerns about the vaccination schedule for a young puppy, suggesting potential over-vaccination based on the puppy's age and prior vaccination history. This feedback highlights the importance of open communication with the veterinary staff regarding procedures and vaccination protocols to ensure you feel comfortable with the care your pet is receiving.
Promotional information for Vetco Vaccination Clinic is not readily available in the provided data. Typically, vaccination clinics may offer promotions such as discounted vaccine packages, seasonal specials (e.g., for flu season in pets), or loyalty programs for returning customers. To learn about any current promotions or special offers, it is best to contact the clinic directly via phone.
In summary, Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Wausau, WI, operates as a Pet Hospital with a primary focus on providing essential vaccinations for dogs and cats. While aiming to offer a convenient and accessible service for preventative care, it's important for pet owners to communicate openly with the clinic staff about their pet's specific needs and any concerns they may have regarding procedures or vaccination schedules. Apr 29, 2024 · Lisa ToschSent my puppy there (3 months old) because their Pet class in Oshkosh where I usually good - told me he needed the Rabies shot to continue class. I think too early but whatever, so I have my mom take him because I couldn't. They would not give him the rabies because he is too young, which is fine with me, but then they talked her into giving him the 6-1 vax. he is only 12 weeks old and this would be his 3 time getting most of these vax. they are over Vaxing these puppies! So sad that I sent her and she was pressured into this. I regret taking the care of my puppy into Wausau Vetco.
Aug 13, 2024 · Sketchy BeansAbsolutely wonderful! The ladies who checked in our cats for their first vet appointment were WONDERFUL, and the vets made us feel comfortable by taking the time to show us that they truly cared about our pets.
Sep 18, 2023 · Sara FarberVery nice staff, greatful that they have this as makes it easier to get in on a weekend. Was able to get 2 of our cats vaccinations done with wellness check. Our normal vet is so booked out for months I did not want to wait for important shots. Was able to login to website & book appointment for that same weekend.
