I had a really good experience here. My dog is by no means a chill calm boy and he gets really scared at vet appointments but everyone was very understanding and they were able to vaccinate him quick and painless. My dog also loved being able to pick out a toy on the way to check out. I have taken him to multiple other vet offices and by far this was the least stressful for both of us.

Jan 24, 2025 · Alisa BertonThe lady who checked us in was so very sweet and gentle with my kitty, he was nervous but she knew how to handle him and she was so kind to me as well. The vets themselves were so kind and gentle and they did really really good distracting my cat even though he was too smart for the treat. Very grateful for the compassion shown towards me and my baby.
Jan 28, 2025 · Cara HjorthI made an appointment for both of my senior dogs online I never received a call of confirmation when I called the morning of the appointment I spoke with someone who was clearly in India she him hawed couldn't answer a question put me on hold, I hung up I go to my appointment and when I arrive I was told the vet wasn't feeling so she went home, but they called me and there was no answer I was lit, I asked her to show me her missed on my phone, she said well it says here they called no answer ok so they can't speak and leave a voicemail I drove 15 miles for this, and then she said we do have openings tomorrow not an apology NOTHING I said what needed to be said and left. I would NOT recommend anyone going here they are so disorganized, they genuinely don't care they outsource their calls to India and then when you go in the office for not having a vet the front desk gal took 10 min to come from the back with her BS. I asked for supervisor she said she was if that is the supervisor I strongly encourage NO ONE go here, that little girl couldn't find her way out of a bag this was a waste time money and thank God bases on the overall experience i am not impressed furthermore if the vet went home sick today she'll be sick tomorrow so why offer an appointment what a joke I am reporting this agency to someone that respects and values and holds their feet to the fire on how they treat customers as well as what conditions they may have in their facility that could potentially hurt or make sick somones furbaby
Dec 21, 2024 · Michelle DennisThe first issue is the “pop up clinic” layout where a table is in the middle of a store and that is where the animals are handled. My dog (a beagle) was distracted by all the other animals around and as a result was very hyper when he was put on the table to get vaccinations. The second issue is that the staff made no attempt to calm him down or settle him down prior to treatment, they went straight to holding him down. They placed a muzzle on him, which I was alright with, but then they held his head and neck so tight he could not breathe. I could see his eyes popping out of his head and foam forming around his mouth. I stood up to say something and they told me I could not touch him while they were working. Fine, but at least let him breathe. My dog did not eat for almost a day after his appointment and coughed regularly. He also had busted blood vessels in his eyes, so that tells you how rough they treated him. It’s not attempting to restrain him that was the issue, it was not attempting to calm him down or even talking/playing with him before starting and how they restrained him by basically choking him out to get compliance. I had to step in to have them release him. This was completely unacceptable. I’ve never had this issue (or at least never been told there were issues) in an actual Vet clinic. These pop up clinics are ridiculous and should not be used. But because I know money means more than anything else, at least put a partition up around the table so there is some privacy which can help with calming a pet down. I waited for medication after my appointment and several dogs after mine were treated the same way and fought to get away from them. This was a terrible experience for my pet and I will not bring him back to this type of unprofessional pop up ever again and strongly encourage other pet owners to not use these either. Invest in building/developing actual clinics and private rooms like are in some Petco or don’t do it at all. Completely unprofessional and dangerous. This was at the Layton, UT location.
May 20, 2024 · Stephen GilleyVETCO saved the day when I overlooked my dog’s overdue rabies vaccine before going out of town. I was able to make an appointment same-day, and the process was so easy and convenient. The vets and techs were so kind and helpful, and really made my experience stress-free! You can tell they care for animals, and even made sure to make a note on my dog’s account about which gauge needle to use to make her more comfortable. I was so nervous about not being able to go to my regular vet, but the staff at VETCO was incredible! Thank you for all that you do.
