Appointment time was 10:10am and 10:20am (two dogs). Arrived at 10am. Didn't get seen for the 10:10am appt until 10:25am. Then, instead of taking our second dog immediately after as we had the first TWO appointment times of the day, they took a cat appointment, which further delayed us. Second dog - scheduled for 10:20am, wasn't seen until 10:48am. RIDICULOUS. By that time, the 10:20, 10:30, and 10:40 appointments had arrived and there was a line of dogs and owners forming. The reason I selected the first appointments of the day is because one of our dogs is "friend selective" and can be vocal. We needed/wanted to get in and out as efficiently as possible with limited interaction with other owners and dogs. Instead, we were left standing around with other loud, anxious, distracted dogs and frustrated owners. Dangerous and frustrating. AND THEN, by the time we waited for our heartworm results and were ready to check out, the store's payment system had gone down and they were unable to accept anything but cash payments. We didn't have $302 in cash, so we had to put the dogs in the car (already stressed and tired) and walk to the nearest store with an ATM to withdraw enough cash to pay the bill. We did have checks on us, but the store was not accepting checks for some reason. Cash only. Seriously?! By the time we got back to the store there was now a line of angry, frustrated owners and stressed out dogs at the checkout, all asking the same questions we had about payment. It was a mess. How/why the vet and techs were not on time for the first two appointments of the day, I have no idea. How/why they took the appointment scheduled AFTER us before us when we were standing right there, I have no idea. Why the store could not accept checks for payment when their debit/credit system was down, I have no idea. What should have been a less than 30 minute appointment turned into a 1.50 hour undertaking that left us all stressed, tired, frustrated, and angry. Vetco can/should do better and Petco can/should do better.

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 1458 Lakeshore Dr a-110, Gilford, NH 03249, USA, serving the pet community in Gilford, NH, and the surrounding areas. As a Pet Hospital specializing in vaccinations and other preventative care, Vetco aims to provide accessible and convenient services for pet owners looking to protect their animals' health.

The information available regarding Vetco Vaccination Clinic is primarily based on a single detailed customer review, which recounts a significantly negative experience. This review offers insights into the clinic's appointment management, waiting times, and payment procedures. According to the review, the customer had scheduled appointments for two dogs at 10:10 am and 10:20 am and arrived at the clinic at 10:00 am. However, the first dog was not seen until 10:25 am, and the second dog's appointment, scheduled for 10:20 am, did not occur until 10:48 am. This delay was compounded by the clinic staff reportedly taking a cat appointment between the two dog appointments, further inconveniencing the customer.

The reviewer expressed frustration with the significant waiting times, especially as they had intentionally booked the first appointments of the day to minimize interaction with other pets due to one of their dogs being "friend selective" and potentially vocal. Contrary to their intention, the delays resulted in them standing in a growing line of other dog owners with their anxious and distracted pets, creating a stressful and potentially "dangerous" situation for their dogs.

Adding to the negative experience, the reviewer reported issues with the payment system at the clinic. After waiting for heartworm test results, they were informed that the store's payment system was down and only cash payments were being accepted. As they did not have the $302 bill in cash and checks were not accepted, they had to leave their already stressed dogs in the car to find an ATM to withdraw the necessary funds. Upon returning to the clinic, they encountered a line of other "angry, frustrated owners and stressed out dogs" also experiencing payment issues.

The reviewer raises several critical questions regarding the clinic's operational efficiency and customer service. They question why the veterinary staff was not punctual for the first appointments of the day and why an appointment scheduled after theirs was prioritized. The cash-only payment policy when the electronic system was down, and the refusal to accept checks, were also points of significant dissatisfaction. The reviewer concludes that what should have been a brief 30-minute appointment extended to a 1.5-hour ordeal, leaving them and their dogs stressed, tired, frustrated, and angry, suggesting that "Vetco can/should do better and Petco can/should do better," implying a potential association with a larger retail entity.

Based solely on this detailed negative review, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive description of the typical environment, services, and features of Vetco Vaccination Clinic. However, we can infer that the clinic offers vaccination services and heartworm testing, as these were the services sought by the reviewer. The experience suggests that appointment scheduling may not always be strictly adhered to, potentially leading to significant waiting times. The environment, at least during busy periods, may become crowded and stressful for pets, particularly those with sensitivities to other animals. The payment system's reliability appears to be a potential concern.

The services mentioned in the review include:

  • Vaccinations for dogs.
  • Heartworm testing.

It is reasonable to assume that, as a "Vaccination Clinic," Vetco likely offers a range of common pet vaccinations for dogs and cats. However, the lack of additional information makes it difficult to confirm the full scope of their services, which might also include other preventative care measures. The primary feature that can be objectively identified from the review is the provision of vaccination services, but the reported issues with punctuality and payment processing detract significantly from the perceived convenience.

No information regarding promotional offers or discounts is available in the provided text. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any potential promotions that Vetco Vaccination Clinic may be offering.

In conclusion, the available information on Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Gilford, NH, is limited to a single, overwhelmingly negative customer review. This review raises significant concerns regarding appointment management, waiting times, the handling of sensitive pets in a crowded environment, and payment procedures. While the clinic offers vaccination services and heartworm testing, the reported operational and logistical issues present a cautionary perspective for potential clients. Local users considering Vetco Vaccination Clinic may wish to seek further information or recent reviews to gain a more comprehensive and balanced understanding of the current state of their services and customer experience. Contacting the clinic directly at (603) 524-9180 or +1 603-524-9180 might provide additional insights.
