Petco Vaccination clinic, it was way better than when we went to a Vetco Clinic. A lot cheaper and the folks were really AWESOME at the Waltham store. Vetco, different story. They messed my dog up and I'm still waiting on what you all are going to do. You say he has Lyme after a blood test, then, you give him meds and shots, i paid a lot of money. You schedule a follow up for 10 days later for what you said was his final Lyme shot but i went there for nothing because you were closed that day. You get that? You have me come back on a day your closed lol. So, i had to go back the next day, when i got there i was told i can't see the vet today. Well, before i left i seen the SO-CALLED VET LOL. Now i was told he doesn't have lyme and doesn't need the final shot. I'm really mad at this point. How do you not know what is going on? I still don't know if he has it or not because i can't afford to have him retested cause i have no money left. Ive called them and they won't talk with me and never call me back. What are you hiding? Now i know why my best friend Wesly was treated so bad and for something he didn't have. They don't care, if they did, we wouldn't have been treated like that and they would have at the least call me. 2 employees in the store part of the business heard my mouth and the commotion and after i left they came to me and confirmed how bad they are there. They told me they would never bring their pets there. Never going back nor is anyone i know ever going back after my poor pup was handled like a piece of meat for them to make money. I will never let this go and will keep telling everyone, until they make it right. I'm at the dog parks several times a day telling everyone. They won't even contact me. I used my disability money for that you know. You don't love animals, and you robbed me, a disabled person. So sad! Have a blessed day, and my dog Wesley, forgives you. I DON'T Jezzo :)

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic

Vetco Vaccination Clinic, located at 75 Linden St.20 & No.60 in Waltham, Massachusetts, is a pet hospital that primarily offers vaccination services for pets. While the name suggests a focus on preventative care through vaccinations, customer reviews provide a mixed perspective on the overall experience at this specific Waltham location. It's important for local users to consider these varying experiences when deciding on their pet's vaccination needs.

One reviewer expressed a positive initial impression, stating that their experience at this Petco Vaccination clinic (presumably co-located within a Petco store) in Waltham was "way better" than a previous experience at a different Vetco clinic. They specifically mentioned that the Waltham location was "a lot cheaper" and that the staff were "really AWESOME." This positive feedback suggests that some pet owners have found the Waltham Vetco Vaccination Clinic to be both affordable and staffed by friendly and helpful individuals, particularly when compared to other similar service providers.

However, another, much more extensive review paints a significantly negative picture of their experience at the Waltham Vetco. This reviewer details a series of issues, beginning with a Lyme disease diagnosis for their dog based on a blood test. Following the diagnosis, their dog received medication and shots, incurring a considerable cost. A follow-up appointment for what was supposedly the final Lyme shot was scheduled, but the clinic was closed on that day, causing inconvenience to the pet owner. Upon returning the next day, they were initially told they couldn't see the vet, only to later see the veterinarian present. Subsequently, the diagnosis was reversed, with the owner being informed that their dog did not have Lyme and did not require the final shot. This inconsistency in diagnosis and treatment caused significant frustration and anger for the pet owner, who was left uncertain about their dog's actual health status and financially strained from the initial treatment costs.

Adding to the severity of this negative experience, the reviewer claims that they were unable to afford retesting due to the money spent on the initial, potentially incorrect, treatment. They also allege that their calls to the clinic were ignored, with no follow-up communication from the staff. This lack of communication and resolution further exacerbated the pet owner's distress, leading them to share their negative experience widely within the local dog owner community. The reviewer also mentioned that two employees from the "store part of the business" (again suggesting a co-location with a retail store) corroborated the negative aspects of the veterinary service, stating they would never bring their own pets there. This strongly negative account raises serious concerns about the quality of care, diagnostic accuracy, and customer service at this particular Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Waltham.

A third review also highlights issues with customer service, although less severe than the previous one. This pet owner brought two dogs for vaccinations, and while they found the staff and vet to be "very nice" and the visit went well initially, they encountered problems with a request for written prescriptions for heartworm medication. Despite being told the prescriptions would be emailed, they never received them. Upon contacting Vetco customer service, they were informed that nothing could be done remotely and that they would need to return to the clinic in person to request the scripts. This required an additional trip and inconvenience for the pet owner, who was not offered any compensation for the misinformation or their time. As a result, this reviewer indicated that they would likely return to their regular veterinarian in the future, citing "very poor customer service." This suggests that while the direct vaccination service might be adequate for some, follow-up and administrative processes may lack efficiency and customer focus.

Based on these reviews, the environment of the Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Waltham is likely located within or in close proximity to a Petco retail store. This co-location might offer convenience for pet owners already visiting the store for other needs. However, the varying experiences suggest that the quality of service and customer care can be inconsistent. While one reviewer found the staff "awesome," another described a chaotic and unreliable diagnostic and treatment process, and a third reported issues with post-visit administrative tasks.

The primary service offered by Vetco Vaccination Clinic is, as the name implies, pet vaccinations. This typically includes core vaccines for dogs and cats, such as rabies, distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus, parainfluenza, and feline leukemia virus. They may also offer other preventative treatments like heartworm and flea/tick medication, although the negative review regarding the prescription for heartworm medication raises questions about the efficiency of obtaining these. The positive review mentioning "cheaper" prices suggests that cost might be a potential draw for some pet owners seeking basic vaccination services.

Features of this Vetco Vaccination Clinic could include walk-in appointments for vaccinations (though this is not explicitly stated in the reviews), potentially lower prices compared to full-service veterinary hospitals (as per one review), and the convenience of its location within or near a pet supply store. However, the negative reviews highlight significant potential drawbacks, including concerns about diagnostic accuracy, inconsistent treatment plans, poor communication, and inadequate customer service.

Promotional information is not mentioned in the provided reviews. It is possible that Vetco Vaccination Clinics, including the Waltham location, may offer package deals for initial puppy or kitten vaccinations or have periodic discounts on certain services. Local users are advised to contact the Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Waltham directly at (781) 736-0200 or +1 781-736-0200 to inquire about current pricing and any available promotions.

In conclusion, the customer reviews for the Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Waltham, MA, present a mixed picture. While one reviewer praised the affordability and friendly staff, two other reviews detailed significant negative experiences related to diagnostic errors, inconsistent treatment, poor communication, and inadequate customer service. Local users considering this clinic for their pet's vaccination needs should carefully weigh these contrasting experiences and potentially seek further information or consider alternative veterinary care providers to ensure the health and well-being of their animals. The convenience and potential cost savings mentioned by one reviewer should be balanced against the serious concerns raised by others regarding the quality and reliability of the services provided at this specific location.

Brought my 2 dogs for vaccinations. The staff and Vet were very nice and the visit went well. I requested written prescriptions for heartworm meds and was told they would be emailed to me, they never came. I called Vetco customer service only to be told that there was nothing they could do, that I have to return to the clinic to request the scripts. So now I have to wait until next weekend and make the trip back to the site. they did not offer any discount or compensation for their misinformation and my time. Very poor customer service! Looks like I'll go to my regular Vet in the future...
