The staff were so kind and the experience was very organized. My puppy didn't show signs of anxiety like he does when getting groomed. He was a happy puppy even after his shot.

Vetco Introduce

Vetco is a well-known veterinary care facility situated at 1780 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109. The clinic provides essential veterinary services to the local community, ensuring that pets receive the highest standard of care in a warm and welcoming environment. With a strong emphasis on preventive health care, Vetco is dedicated to helping pets lead longer, healthier lives under the guidance of professional veterinarians.

Vetco offers a wide range of services tailored to meet the needs of all pet owners. These include routine wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, and grooming services. The clinic is particularly known for its friendly staff and organized approach to patient care, which makes the experience stress-free for both pets and their owners.

One of Vetco's standout features is its focus on preventive health care. By prioritizing regular check-ups and vaccinations, Vetco aims to identify potential health issues early and prevent them from escalating into more serious conditions. This approach not only improves the overall well-being of pets but also reduces long-term veterinary costs for owners.

Vetco's services extend beyond basic medical care. The clinic also offers grooming services, which can be especially beneficial for pets that require regular maintenance. Grooming sessions are conducted in a caring and controlled environment to ensure pets remain calm and comfortable throughout the process.

Customers have shared their experiences at Vetco, highlighting both positive and constructive feedback. Many appreciate the kind and professional demeanor of the staff, which contributes to a pleasant experience during visits. For instance, one customer mentioned that their puppy remained happy and anxiety-free after receiving shots at Vetco, thanks to the clinic's organized approach.

However, there have also been some concerns raised by clients. One review pointed out the limited operating hours of Vetco, which are only open on Sundays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This can be challenging for pet owners with busy schedules or those who require urgent care outside of these hours. Additionally, a customer shared their experience where their dog developed kennel cough shortly after visiting Vetco for vaccinations and flea pill prescriptions. They had to seek treatment from another veterinary service, which raised questions about the effectiveness of the preventive measures provided.

Another point of concern was the process for obtaining flea pill prescriptions. According to some customers, the health check required for a 3-month supply of flea pills needed to be repeated for subsequent refills. This could be seen as an unnecessary step and potentially costly for pet owners who wish to purchase larger quantities.

Despite these concerns, Vetco continues to serve the community with its commitment to preventive care and wellness. Pet owners are encouraged to discuss any specific needs or concerns with the clinic's staff to ensure that their pets receive the most appropriate care possible. Additionally, it is always a good idea for pet owners to consult multiple veterinary opinions when making important health care decisions for their pets.

Vetco stands as a valuable resource for pet owners in San Diego, offering essential veterinary services with a focus on preventive care and wellness. While there are limitations in terms of operating hours and certain procedures, the clinic remains dedicated to providing high-quality care to all animals under its roof. Whether it's routine check-ups or grooming needs, Vetco is here to support you and your pet.

While the staff and vets were helpful and professional, I do have a couple of complaints with my experience at this Vetco. First, the limited hours on only one day of the week are difficult to work into my schedule. Second, when I did take my dog in to get vaccines and do the necessary health check to receive an edible flea pill prescription, my dog came down with kennel cough within five days of our visit. I had to take him to a full vet service to get him treatment for the kennel cough, which lasted for a few months. In addition, the medical check required to receive the flea pill prescription was ONLY valid for the 3-month supply of flea pills I initially purchased. I wanted to start with a trial period to see if the pills worked or if my dog had any negative side effects. However, in order to get additional flea pill prescribed after the 3-month period past (say to purchase a 9-month supply), I would have to pay for my dog to go through the exact same health tests he received for the 3-month supply. I am not certain, but it seems unnecessary to completely repeat and have to pay for a new health check on my dog whether 1, 3, 9, or 12 months have passed, every time I need a new prescription.

I have five Pomeranians. I have taken them here to get their shots several times. I love how quick and efficient it is. And I love that I don’t have to pay for a visit and have a Vet recommend other things. All my experiences here were excellent!!!!!

I take my dog and cat here for their vaccinations which save me time and money. There's no office visit charge. Of course, my dog could careless about that because she just hates any visit to the vet.
