*** 04/03/2025 UPDATE: A sad excuse of a generic response from the owner. I like to call it a vomit response馃ぎ, one rehearsed and that lacks substance. I don't see the point in reaching out to your hospital manager鈥攚hat good would that do? To waste my time, and nothing comes of it, especially when the owner is the only one who can implement change?聽 If you genuinely cared, you would alter your non-transparent policies. Saying "we understand" is insincere and generic. For the procedure on a specific dog breed and size, you should provide a clear base price that includes any necessary pre-tests, like bloodwork, if needed. One can understand the price will rise if there are any complications or additional unforeseen issues. I called several other places. You're the only one who wants me to come in so you can charge me and then give me some outrageous price because, hey, at least you already got the exam price out of me. You don't disclose your price to people right now because your price is likely all over the place. If you've done several of the procedures, then you at least have an average cost. Even that would have been helpful. "We know how much you care about your pet, and we want to help in any way we can." Besides feeling insincere and generic, this sounds like a "yeah, we know how much you love your pet, so we'll charge you a premium price on that love for your pet because we know you'll pay." 04/02/25 Original Review: Called in for a laparoscopy on a French bulldog and they couldn鈥檛 give a price or even estimated price. Not transparent. So you basically they want you to come in waste time and get charged to tell you a price and that鈥檚 ridiculous. The price should be the price standard for the breed and a should also know that unless there鈥檚 complications that could cause extra than the price should be the price. Just like a spay has a price and if there are complications well then it might go up. SMH

VCA Orange Animal Hospital Introduce

Welcome to VCA Orange Animal Hospital, a pet hospital located at 1100 W Chapman Ave in Orange, California, USA. As part of the VCA (Veterinary Centers of America) network, this facility aims to provide a variety of veterinary services to cater to the health needs of your beloved pets. Serving the local community, VCA Orange Animal Hospital is positioned as a place where pet owners can seek medical care and support for their animal companions.

Based on available customer reviews, the environment and atmosphere of VCA Orange Animal Hospital appear to be a point of mixed experience. One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the hospital's communication and pricing transparency, particularly concerning obtaining a price estimate for a specific surgical procedure (laparoscopy) on a French bulldog. This individual's experience suggests a lack of upfront information regarding the cost of services, which led to frustration and a perception of non-transparency. The reviewer indicated that the hospital required an in-person visit and examination before providing a price, a practice they found inconvenient and potentially aimed at securing an examination fee before disclosing potentially high costs.

On the other hand, another reviewer offers a starkly contrasting perspective, describing VCA as "hands down the best veterinary clinic in the world." This enthusiastic feedback highlights "exceptional care" for their four cats and praises the staff for treating them like family. This positive review emphasizes the staff's dedication to the well-being of pets and expresses deep gratitude for their expertise and genuine love for animals. This suggests that many clients have positive experiences with the quality of care and the compassion of the team at VCA Orange Animal Hospital.

The services offered at VCA Orange Animal Hospital likely encompass a broad spectrum of veterinary care, consistent with the offerings of a full-service pet hospital within a large network like VCA. These typically include routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and general medical care for illnesses and injuries. Given that one reviewer inquired about a laparoscopy, it can be inferred that surgical procedures are among the services provided. The positive review mentioning "exceptional care" for multiple cats suggests experience in managing the health needs of feline patients, and it is reasonable to assume they also provide comprehensive care for dogs and potentially other types of pets.

However, the contrasting negative review raises a critical point regarding the transparency of pricing for procedures. The reviewer specifically requested a price or estimated price for a laparoscopy on a French bulldog but was told that this information would only be provided after an in-person examination. This lack of upfront pricing information was a major concern for the reviewer, who compared this practice unfavorably to other veterinary clinics they contacted. They argued for a clear base price for common procedures, including necessary pre-tests, with the understanding that costs could increase due to complications or unforeseen issues.

The feature of being part of the VCA network could be considered a significant aspect of this pet hospital. VCA is a large organization with a wide reach, often providing access to a broad range of resources, specialists, and advanced medical technologies. This affiliation can potentially offer benefits such as standardized levels of care and access to a network of veterinary professionals. However, the local experience, as highlighted in the reviews, can vary.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. The focus of the feedback revolves around the quality of care and the transparency of pricing policies. While one client expresses immense satisfaction, the other raises a significant concern that potential local users should be aware of.

In conclusion, VCA Orange Animal Hospital, located in Orange, CA, appears to be a pet hospital with the potential to provide exceptional care, as highlighted by one enthusiastic reviewer who praised the staff's dedication and expertise. However, another review raises a serious concern regarding the lack of transparent pricing for certain procedures, suggesting that potential clients may need to inquire specifically about the costs involved upfront. Local users considering VCA Orange Animal Hospital should weigh these contrasting experiences and perhaps seek clarity on pricing policies during their initial contact. For further information or to schedule an appointment, you can contact them at (714) 997-8200 or +1 714-997-8200. Their address is 1100 W Chapman Ave, Orange, CA 92868, USA. It is advisable for prospective clients to discuss pricing and any pre-testing fees for specific procedures to ensure a clear understanding of the potential costs involved.

Recently Ace ("him" and/or "his") developed anxiety and stomach discomfort due to our recent move to Anaheim. His upset stomach developed into vomiting and loss of appetite. We took him to VCA Orange ("VCA") thinking that the care and treatment we would receive would be the same excellent service we received at the VCA near our previous home. The VCA Orange staff and doctors have no consideration for the welfare of the animals and/or the animal parents who walk through their doors. The only concern on the minds of every VCA Orange staff member and doctor is to maximize the profits extracted from every animal parent who walks through their doors. To the point that they negotiate upfront the cost that is required to treat your animal, like you would discuss the cost of replacing your transmission with your mechanic. Animals are living breathing members of our families not inanimate objects. I would strongly urge you to reconsider when thinking of walking through the doors of this animal hospital. As a dog parent I consider my dog to be my child and expect my child to be treated and looked after with the utmost care. Animal parents are not dollar signs. VCA Orange does not exemplify behavior of which is trustworthy and caring. VCA only wants your money. Dr. Belinda Lee and her staff at VCA Orange are extortionists who pry on the hearts and miss fortunes of animal parents. If your animal is sick select another animal hospital to take your pet to. Best regards to all animal lovers. Don't fall victim to the VCA money trap.

I have been taking my pet there for 7 years and never had an issue with anyone except for one vet, Dr.belinda lee. Every time, I have questions about the treatment for my dog she always seems upset about it and answers them with yes or no responds. Other doctors are very thorough and are always happy to answer all my questions throughly except for dr.lee. Dr.Lee is very rude and makes me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. If you are planning on taking your pet there I recommend you ask for a different provider. Stay away from dr.lee it will be a waste of time and money. Hope this helps anyone who is worried about their pets and is looking for a good and compassionate doctor. You won't find that with dr.lee she is the opposite of that.

Never write bad reviews but hoping this will help people. I would agree with all the bad reviews about Dr Lee on here. Made us feel super uncomfortable. Came for an ear infection. Paid over 600 dollars.
