VCA Garden State Animal Hospital

Great team over at VCA on Haddonfield road. They have always been fairly priced & always managed to squeeze me in if necessary. I put my dog down and the vet tech and vet could not have been more accommodating. They even sent me a condolences card signed my SIX staff members. That was very sweet. No pets for now but any pets in the future will certainly be going to VCA. Thanks again.

The staff and caring vets at VCA are terrific. My beloved cat Minka went to VCA every year for her check ups throughout her life, and the doctors always took time to answer my questions, give advice and dote on my sweet girl, even giving her kisses and commenting on how pretty she was! They made a stressful time (she never liked getting in her carrier) as pleasant as possible, even during the pandemic. This past January, when Minka was losing weight, they helped us navigate a challenging time and diagnosis, consulting with other specialist vets graciously as needed and offering support as it became clear that she was in a hospice situation towards the end. When it came time to let my sweet companion go, they treated us both with grace, care and gentle kindness. She passed peacefully and with dignity, and I am forever grateful for all the attention and humanity they bestowed on us during this painful time. I can’t say enough good things about this practice!. Special thanks to Dr. Patricia Fischer who attended to Minka the most over the years and helped us with her seasonal asthma, to Dr. Jennifer Lach who helped us with patience and professionalism during her final weeks of illness, and to Dr. Margaux Firestine who graciously and compassionately helped Minka pass on her final day. All of these amazing doctors and their assistants and staff took great care of my little one and I am so appreciative and thankful. Being a vet is not an easy profession, it’s so easy to criticize, but these doctors truly care and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality practice for their family member pets.

If I could leave a zero I would. I have been going to VCA for more than 10 years. I moved from Florida and Garden State VCA has been the ultimate worst. My small dog was recently given unauthorized vaccines which gave her an allergic reaction. When I called to inform them the staff was completely disgusting not one of them asked if she was okay or what happened. We had to rush her to the ER. Not to mention their facility is filthy beyond belief. We will never be returning. They clearly over vaccinated her for money. This place is a disgrace.

I used to love this vet. Not anymore. My poor cat is traumatized from yesterday’s visit!! They put a towel over her head & a cone to cut her nails. It was terrible!!! And today no one called me back. She isn’t eating & is highly upset. Plus their prices have skyrocketed!! Time for a new vet!!

Horrible never returning I was a long-time client. I dropped my cat off to get an ultrasound with specific instructions to not perform a biopsy without my consent. I was called to pick my cat up and when I arrived I realized when they told me the price which was not a deciding factor on whether I wanted the biopsy done that the biopsy was done without my consent. Then to add to my horror after voicing my issue my cat was brought out to me. I brought my buddy out to the car thank goodness I opened the carrier good thing I did he was heavy panting and making deep sounds I rushed him back in.He would have died if I did not check on him before I left the parking lot he had bleeding from the biopsy after two hours of anxiously waiting he was stable. I took him home late in the day it took him two weeks to recover from that horror. On top of all that he was infested with fleas I reported it to the hospital and of course the response was how could that be. Please everyone beware and vigilant we need to make sure our fur babies are protected
