VCA Central Park Animal Hospital

I’ve been taking my dogs to VCA Plantation for many years. Dr Baumwell is the very best! Knowledgeable, caring and experienced. I trust him 1000%. The support staff is the best in the business! I wouldn’t even consider another vet.

The staff at this VCA hospital is consistently wonderful. They treat patients and their guardians with careful attention, grace and efficiency. I’d hire any of them in a heartbeat. But when I brought my 18 year-old cat in for a checkup aa few months ago, the new doctor recommended blood tests. They cost a few hundred dollars and the conclusion was “her potassium is a little elevated.” I didn’t get the impression he saw anything concerning during the exam. Then, last week, I had to board my cat for the day. I agreed to a fee of $40 for the day. But when I brought her in, I was charged $172 because she needed shots and a fecal test. N one talked to me about this until I brought the cat in and I didn’t have a plan B for that day. They weren’t able to do the fecal test so VCA refunded me $102 but I resented having a large charge without being clearly informed of it ahead of time. This didn’t used to happen at VCA. If they now want to tag on larger charges on the back end, I’ll have to look elsewhere. I understand that some medical expenses cost more than I want but I don’t understand getting ambushed for most of these expenses. It’s not honest.

We were referred to see Dr. Carbonell at the VCA. She was highly recommended by a doctor we solely trust and thank goodness we listened. Dr. Carbonell has been a true professional who has taken the time to makevsound recommendations based on our baby's case and needs. She is honest, compassionate, and caring. Our baby is very receptive to her care, and that is what is most conforting. We also had a brief interaction with Dr. Amaya and the level of professionalism with which we were advised and treated was nothing less than what we expected. From the moment you enter this facility, the ladies in the reception area, the nurses, and the general staff are courteous and treat each person with respect, making sure all questions and concerns are addressed. Our experience has been great. I am beyond thankful for the recommendation as our baby is in the hands of good people.

Dr Carbonell is always so pleasant and dedicated , she thoroughly examines Merlin and is always happy and patient to answer any questions. I fully trust her and Dr Baumwell, they have never pushed for unnecessary services and always provide effective solutions. I have been coming to this location for 8 years or more, even having a closer VCA to me. Their staff and costumer service is amazing. Their prices are a a bit higher than other Vets but not unreasonable. Totally worth it. I am very thankful for them. Having someone you can fully trust your furry baby with is truly rare!

I accompanied my friend K. Diaz (a military vet.),to see about his new puppy. Upon arrival I decided to wait outside. Subsequently, I realized a couple employees would rather stare at me (in broad daylight),than greet me. That was until the manager Zack,took the time to introduce himself outside of the actual business. Zack,was not only very professional but helpful as well. Personally, I found Zack,to be extremely "down to earth" . His professionalism, leadership and overall manners should be the prototype for all businesses in America. I hope he's truly rewarded for being the best!
