May 16, 2024 · Claire AndrewDr. Ortiz was absolutely wonderful with our sweet boy cat! She was patient and very kind with him as he was super nervous and is uncomfortable around new people. She made everything go seamlessly and this will be the place we go from now on :)
Dec 07, 2024 · salise marinMy 1 and a half year old puppy, Pudding, has been handled well here by Dr. Coates, who was very kind and caring, and my questions have been answered over text promptly. But there have been enough instances to prompt us needing a new regular vet. In Pudding’s first months as a puppy, I paid for fecal tests and worm medication that ended up not working because, due to some googling on my behalf, they had misdiagnosed his type of worms. They properly diagnosed him once I showed them some evidence, and charged me a huge amount for new medication, when it was their mistake in the first place, and the receptionist was not enthused to help me when I explained this. They brought down the price a little bit after a long, uncomfortable conversation in the lobby. The medication worked, thankfully, but the estimate for his neuter later on was astronomical, so I got it done at another vet for about a third of the price. He is in perfect health, a year later, and for his yearly checkup a few days ago that I was reminded of in the mail, the bill estimate (if I paid for everything they suggested) was $1,000. I paid for only his basic yearly vaccines and it came out to $330. I still think that is unreasonable, seeing as I didn’t know to bring in a stool sample beforehand, and the still large amount I paid for didn’t cover basic parasite or stool testing or flea prevention. We are sadly going to have to find a better fit and transfer his records to a new veterinarian.
