Glad to see others have had good experiences here. I took my kitten I had adopted with concerns of constant sneezing mucus mixed with blood and pawing at ear. The doc came in not sure his name. Very Young. He just listened to her and said it was most likely stress from changing environments. I had to remind him to look at her ears. He swabbed her ear looked at the dark black wax and said I don't see any ear mites it's just wax build up. Well come to find out you can't see ear mites with the naked eye and she does have ear mites. A day later she wakes up worse I call he prescribes meds she finished her meds and is no better. He says it has to be viral and just let it run it's course. This can not be normal it's been over a month. Aside from him not knowing about ear mites I don't feel like I've gotten the proper care for my baby. Will be going elsewhere

Welcome to VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital

Welcome to VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital, a "Pet Hospital" located at 2200 N Grassland Dr in Fuquay-Varina, NC. VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital aims to provide veterinary care for pets in the local community. You can reach their team at (919) 557-3206 or via their mobile number, +1 919-557-3206.

As a "Pet Hospital," VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital offers a range of veterinary services. However, the customer reviews present a somewhat mixed picture of the experiences at this clinic. It's important for local users to consider these varied perspectives when evaluating their options for pet care.

One pet owner shared a negative experience concerning the diagnosis and treatment of their newly adopted kitten. They brought the kitten in with symptoms including sneezing mucus mixed with blood and pawing at its ear. According to the review, the initial veterinarian attributed these symptoms to stress without thoroughly examining the kitten's ears, missing a case of ear mites that was later confirmed. The prescribed medication did not improve the kitten's condition, and the advice to let a persistent issue run its course was concerning to the owner, leading them to seek care elsewhere. This review highlights a potential issue with the thoroughness of initial assessments by some practitioners at this location.

Another customer also reported a less than pleasant initial encounter with a doctor at VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital. This individual was surprised they returned but mentioned that the doctor they initially saw indicated they were not usually at that specific location. This suggests some variability in the veterinary professionals working at this clinic.

In contrast to these experiences, a subsequent visit by the same customer resulted in a highly positive interaction with Dr. Sarah F (the last name spelling was uncertain). This reviewer was immediately impressed by Dr. Sarah F.'s energy, bedside manner, and personality, noting that their dog was very comfortable with her. They unequivocally stated that Dr. Sarah F. is the best veterinarian they have encountered and is the sole reason they would return to this VCA location. This strongly suggests that some veterinarians at this hospital provide exceptional care and build strong rapport with both pets and their owners.

However, this positive reviewer also pointed out some drawbacks: the wellness fee was considered quite expensive compared to other local practices, and the clinic does not carry Heartgard or Nexgard, which are common preventative medications for heartworms and fleas/ticks, respectively. These are important factors for pet owners to consider regarding the overall cost and convenience of care at VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital.

Based on these reviews, we can summarize the following about VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital as a "Pet Hospital":

Mixed Experiences: Customer experiences appear to vary, with some reporting issues with initial diagnoses and thoroughness, while others have had outstanding experiences with specific veterinarians.

Positive Interactions with Specific Vets: Dr. Sarah F. is highly praised for her energy, bedside manner, and connection with pets, being cited as a primary reason for a customer's return.

Potentially Higher Wellness Exam Costs: The wellness fees are noted to be more expensive compared to some other local veterinary practices.

Limited Product Availability: The clinic does not carry certain popular preventative medications like Heartgard and Nexgard.

Information regarding the environment and a comprehensive list of services is not explicitly detailed in these reviews. However, as a VCA (Veterinary Centers of America) hospital, it is likely that they offer a standard range of veterinary services including routine check-ups, vaccinations, diagnostics, medical treatments, and surgical procedures. VCA typically maintains professional and well-equipped facilities.

No specific promotional information was mentioned in the reviews. Local users interested in learning about any current promotions should contact VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital directly.

For local users in Fuquay-Varina, NC, considering VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital as their "Pet Hospital," it is advisable to weigh the reported experiences. While there have been negative initial encounters and concerns about pricing and product availability, the exceptional care provided by veterinarians like Dr. Sarah F. is a significant positive. If you value a strong connection with your veterinarian and a caring bedside manner, seeking out specific practitioners at this location might be beneficial. However, it would also be prudent to inquire about their wellness fees and the availability of necessary medications for your pet.

In conclusion, VCA Broad Street Animal Hospital in Fuquay-Varina offers veterinary services as a "Pet Hospital," but customer experiences have been varied. The positive feedback regarding certain veterinarians, particularly Dr. Sarah F., is noteworthy, while concerns about wellness costs and the lack of certain preventative medications have also been raised. Local pet owners should consider these points when making their decision. Contact them at (919) 557-3206 for more information about their services and to discuss your pet's specific needs.

We just started going to VCA and the Dr. that we met the first time was less than pleasant. In all honesty, I’m surprised we went back but she made mention she is not usually at that location so we returned. We came back today for a concern we had with our dogs paw and met Dr. Sarah F (not sure how to spell her last name). She came in with 100% energy and I immediately adored her. She has the best bedside manner, the sweetest personality, and our dog was head over heels for her. She is without a doubt the best veterinarian we have came across for our babies and is 100% the reason we will be back. The only cons I have: The wellness fee is pretty expensive. There are many practices here locally that charge $40-$60 for a wellness exam, and this location charges almost $100. Lastly, they don’t carry Heartgard or Nexgard. :/ Thanks Dr. Sarah for being the perfect person for us today. Your sweet energy truly made this rainy day brighter, and you’re without a doubt the reason we will be back.

I've not met them yet, but from the phone conversation I just had, I'm looking forward to taking my cat to VCA. She listened patiently to what I needed to convey about my less than friendly kitty and then explained how they would handle the situation. Based on reviews, it looks like this may be a great fit for "SUNNY J."

These guys were awesome when my cat got crystals/stones (blockage) they allowed me to be seen, gave great advice, very compassionate and helped me and my cat Sonny in every way they could. Sonny got treatment and is making a recovery. 💙

Took my German Shepherd Apollo here today to get his shots updated and wellness check. The staff here is very nice and very professional and they treated Apollo as if he was their own. Kudos to you guys and keep up the good work because us pet owners need you. Thanks for all that you do.
