I have attempted to give a courtesy call a few times now, but have repeatedly been left on hold. We’ve taken our dog Callie here since she was a puppy- she’s now 4. And chose to take our dog Kamari here as well once we added him to our family. Have always had a great experience until recently. Things have been tougher financially for many… today my husband asked to outsource our flea and tick medication… for the first time…. So that we could save over $100 for both of our dogs to be covered. Valley view refused to give us a prescription and would only allow us to purchase through them. We have given this vet office thousands of dollars of business. When you value money over what is best for the animal and its family… that’s when you will lose clients and it will end up costing your office way more than a couple flea/ tick medication sales. We will take our dogs elsewhere. Thank you.

Valley View Veterinary Clinic Introduce
Welcome to the introduction of Valley View Veterinary Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 2300 Mountain Rd #4113, Larksville, PA 18651, USA. As a local Pet Hospital, Valley View Veterinary Clinic aims to provide veterinary services to the community of Larksville and the surrounding areas. Publicly available reviews offer differing perspectives on the experiences of pet owners who have visited this clinic.
Details about the specific environment of Valley View Veterinary Clinic are not extensively provided online. Typically, a Pet Hospital would include examination rooms for consultations, a reception area for clients and their pets, and facilities for various medical procedures, potentially including diagnostics and treatment areas. One positive review mentions observing the care provided to other animals while waiting and describes it as "beyond top notch," suggesting a positive and attentive environment for the animals within the clinic. However, the reviews do not offer a comprehensive description of the physical premises.
Based on the customer feedback, the services offered at Valley View Veterinary Clinic appear to include general check-ups, allergy treatment, dispensing of medications (including flea and tick preventatives), and grooming services such as nail trims. One positive review highlights the affordability of a check-up, allergy medication, flea and tick chews, and a nail trim. This suggests a range of general wellness and basic medical services. In contrast, a negative review details an instance where the clinic refused to provide a prescription for flea and tick medication, insisting that the client purchase it directly from them, even though outsourcing would have been significantly cheaper for the pet owners. This indicates a policy that might influence how clients access certain medications. A typical Pet Hospital would likely offer a broader range of services, including vaccinations, diagnostics, medical treatments for various conditions, and potentially surgical and dental procedures. The provided reviews offer insights into some of these areas but not a complete list.
Features of Valley View Veterinary Clinic, as perceived through the reviews, present both positive and negative aspects. A significant positive feature highlighted in one review is the perceived high quality of care provided by the vets and vet techs, with one pet owner expressing immense gratitude for the help received with their pet's allergies and picky eating habits. The affordability of the services received in that instance was also noted as a positive. However, a notable negative feature, as described in another review, is the clinic's policy regarding prescriptions for medications, specifically flea and tick preventatives. The refusal to provide a prescription to allow the owner to purchase elsewhere at a lower cost was seen as prioritizing profit over the best interest of the animal and its family, leading to the client deciding to seek care elsewhere. Another point mentioned was difficulty reaching the clinic via phone, with the reviewer reporting being repeatedly left on hold.

Mar 07, 2025 · Kaylyn GoodallI can not express my gratitude enough to this place, the vets, the vet techs, all of them. My baby Luna is a picky eater, with terrible allergies just ruining her life. I can't believe how cheap it was to get her seen for a check-up, medicine for allergies, flea and tick chews, AND her nails trimmed. I left our appointment feeling like I'm about to have a brand new dog. Thank you so much to everyone who helped assist us today, and everyone who's in there running around helping pets. I was watching the other animals while we were waiting and the care being provided is beyond top notch. Thank you so super much for everything you've done for us today! Luna thanks you as well!!!
Dec 13, 2024 · Angelica OrtizI sadly had to put my cat I’ve had for 16 years down due to her being sick. This office was so kind throughout the entire process. The doctor was exceptional and explained the process. The entire staff was so kind. I will return with my animals and hope anyone reading this will take their animals here for the best care!
Apr 05, 2025 · Alyssa WivellMy german shepherd annie suddenly lost control of her back legs. Valley view veterinarian was her regular vet. Due to a family emergency Annie was under their care for 6 days. I could say that this veterinarian clinic gave my dog the best care I have ever seen. The clinic was patient with Annie and patient with my family due to an emergency. They called everyday to give me an update of Annie. Unfortunately, annie had to be put to sleep this afternoon at our house. I do highly recommend this clinic for any pet. Thank you for the love and care you all gave our Annie.
May 06, 2025 · Jack ShoverI would give 0 stars if possible. Had brought both our pups here multiple times and charged hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Was given prices more than double other veterinarians after deciding to get 2nd and 3rd opinions. 3 separate visits to diagnose a condition that multiple other vets diagnosed in minutes. Given option for $1200+ surgery while the most expensive other vet estimate was $600 for the SAME surgery!!!! Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of this rip off clinic. Even when asked how much more it would cost to diagnose pet, was just asked if we wanted to just cancel our appointment. I wish we could get he $2000+ we spent here back but you live and you learn I suppose.
