Terrible Experience – Do NOT Take Your Pets Here I’ve been a loyal client of Valley Veterinary Hospital for years, but after my most recent visit, I won’t be coming back. The new veterinarian they hired is dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in basic human decency. I brought my dog in for a specific issue on her belly, which I pointed out multiple times. Instead of actually addressing the concern, the vet ignored me and went off on unnecessary tangents. Then, when I asked for a simple nail trim—something every vet should be able to do—her response was, “I’m not a miracle worker.” Excuse me? That level of arrogance and incompetence is unacceptable. Not only did I waste time and energy getting my pet there, but I also spent an absurd amount of money for a visit that accomplished absolutely nothing. The prices are outrageously high, and for what? Disrespect, poor service, and ignored concerns? No thanks. If you love your pets, take them somewhere else. This place has gone completely downhill, and I wouldn’t trust them with my animals ever again.

Welcome to Valley Veterinary Hospital
This detailed introduction explores Valley Veterinary Hospital, a veterinary care provider categorized as a "Pet Hospital," located in Pleasant Valley, NY. This facility strives to offer a broad spectrum of veterinary services, catering to the health and wellness needs of pets within the local community.
Valley Veterinary Hospital is situated at 42 North Ave, Pleasant Valley, NY 12569, USA. For direct contact and to schedule appointments or inquire about services, clients can reach the hospital via phone at (845) 635-2472 or through mobile at +1 845-635-2472. This accessible location aims to serve pet owners in Pleasant Valley and the surrounding areas.
While specific detailed descriptions of the internal environment of Valley Veterinary Hospital are not extensively provided in publicly available information, veterinary hospitals generally aim to create a professional, clean, and safe environment for both animal patients and their human companions. A well-functioning "Pet Hospital" typically features examination rooms, a waiting area, potentially a surgical suite, and recovery areas, all designed to facilitate efficient and compassionate care. The design of such facilities often seeks to minimize stress for animals during their visit, ensuring a calm and comfortable atmosphere that is conducive to effective medical treatment. The presence of medical equipment for diagnostics and treatment is also a standard expectation for a full-service veterinary hospital.
Valley Veterinary Hospital offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services. While specific itemized lists of all procedures are not available, a "Pet Hospital" typically provides core services such as general wellness exams, vaccinations, and parasite control, which are fundamental for preventative health. They also commonly offer diagnostic services, including blood tests, urinalysis, and potentially imaging like X-rays or ultrasound, to accurately diagnose various conditions. Surgical procedures are a common offering, ranging from routine spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries. Dental care, including cleanings and extractions, is another vital service often provided, as oral health significantly impacts overall pet well-being. The positive customer review mentions their experience with a dog having "quite a few health issues," implying the hospital is equipped to manage chronic conditions and provide ongoing medical care for complex cases. However, as an objective introduction, it is important to state that precise details on advanced or specialized services (e.g., advanced orthopedics, specialized internal medicine, emergency-specific equipment) are not explicitly detailed in the provided information.
The features of Valley Veterinary Hospital, as gleaned from client feedback, present a mixed picture. On the positive side, loyal clients commend the staff and doctors for being "compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough." Pets, according to one review, "love all their doctors and support staff," and are treated "like family," which underscores a personal and caring approach to veterinary medicine. The ability to manage pets with "quite a few health issues" suggests a capability for handling complex medical cases and providing consistent, dedicated care over time. Another positive feature highlighted is that the prices are considered "extremely fair and competitive for this area," which is a significant factor for pet owners in managing healthcare costs. This perspective suggests that the hospital offers good value for the quality of care provided, especially when compared to other local clinics and the general cost of medical technology.
However, a highly critical review also provides a contrasting perspective, raising concerns about certain aspects of the hospital's features. This review describes a "new veterinarian" as "dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in basic human decency," alleging that a specific concern about a pet's belly was ignored, and a simple nail trim request was met with an arrogant response. This suggests a potential inconsistency in staff professionalism or patient communication, which can significantly impact client experience. The review also labels the prices as "outrageously high" for the perceived poor service, directly contradicting the other review's assessment of fairness. This divergence in opinion regarding both staff conduct and pricing indicates that individual experiences at Valley Veterinary Hospital can vary significantly, which is an important consideration for potential clients.
In terms of promotional information, specific ongoing offers or discounts for Valley Veterinary Hospital are not explicitly provided in the available data. However, the positive client feedback acts as a strong form of word-of-mouth promotion, particularly the testimonials highlighting compassionate care, knowledgeable staff, and fair pricing. The hospital's general online presence and accessibility via phone numbers serve as ongoing avenues for attracting new clients. For any "Pet Hospital," a strong reputation built on positive patient outcomes and client satisfaction is often the most effective and enduring form of promotion. The conflicting reviews underscore the importance of potential clients conducting their own research and perhaps even visiting the clinic or speaking with staff to gauge the environment and service quality firsthand before committing to care.
In summary, Valley Veterinary Hospital in Pleasant Valley, NY, operates as a "Pet Hospital" aiming to provide comprehensive veterinary services, including general medical care, diagnostics, and surgical and dental procedures. Its features, as described by clients, include a compassionate and knowledgeable approach to care, with some clients praising the staff and fair pricing. However, a highly critical review highlights concerns about professionalism, communication, and perceived value, suggesting that client experiences can differ significantly. While specific promotional offers are not detailed, the positive word-of-mouth from satisfied long-term clients serves as a primary form of promotion. Prospective clients are advised to consider both the positive and negative feedback when evaluating Valley Veterinary Hospital for their pet's healthcare needs.

Feb 18, 2025 · J. P.Crazy that someone would write three different dishonest reviews under three different accounts. Anyhoo...Valley Vet has been caring for my two dogs for the last couple of years. One has quite a few health issues, so we are frequent flyers. They have been nothing but compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough. My dogs love all their doctors and support staff. They treat them like family and I couldn't be happier. The prices are also extremely fair and competitive for this area, if you take the time to actually research what local clinics are charging. Good vet care just isn't cheap and I don't know why anyone would expect it to be, especially in a country where a human hospital visit can run you literally thousands of dollars for the exact same technology.
May 09, 2025 · Jewel OphileI appreciated the fact we got an appointment quickly and had a very short wait the day of. Dr Lasko I noticed immediately had poor bedside manner. No smile, no welcoming. We went in for a "sick visit" but yet she pushed the rabies vaccine twice and became emotionally and physically upset when my cat started to hiss and scratched the technician while getting his anal glands released. She even raised her voice at me in front of my toddler and said "THIS IS WHY HE NEEDS TO BE VACCINATED" My cat is an indoor cat and doesn't have rabies. He's 10 years old and in good health aside from some nervousness. We have the right to deny a rabies vaccine. But yet she told me we can't come back if he's not vaccinated. I couldn't financially afford any shots today and since he was there for a problem visit, I wasn't planning on shots. I would have scheduled a separate well visit for him if she didn't try to bully me into a shot before even asking what the hell was wrong with him for us to bring him in for a problem visit. They then slammed the door on their way out. Totally unprofessional, and I wouldn't be back to see that doctor even if he was vaccinated. If you can't handle a hissing cat and someone exercising their right if refusal, don't be a vet. Plain and simple.
Apr 07, 2025 · Kaitlyn MI have been bringing my pets to Valley Vet for over a decade and Dr. Roginski and all the staff have always treated them and my family with so much compassion. They have seen us through difficult diagnoses, the loss of a dog, and a cat with very bad vet anxiety and have taken each challenge in stride and treated all of our animals with so much care. Even though I moved further away, I still take my pets here and they are the only vet I will consider.
Apr 24, 2025 · Marie W⚠️ Avoid Valley Veterinary Hospital! ⚠️ Unprofessional and Overpriced I have been taking my pets to Valley Veterinary Hospital for years, but after my last visit, I will never be returning. The new veterinarian they brought in is completely unprofessional, dismissive, and downright rude. I took my dog in for a specific issue on her abdomen, which I pointed out multiple times, yet the vet completely ignored me and made a big production out of unrelated concerns instead of addressing the actual problem. To make matters worse, when I asked for a simple nail trim—something that should be routine—her response was, “I’m not a miracle worker.” Excuse me? If trimming a dog’s nails is too much to ask, maybe you’re in the wrong profession. On top of the poor service, the pricing here is outrageous for what little care you actually receive. I wasted time and money for a visit that left my dog’s issue unresolved, my concerns dismissed, and my mother and me frustrated beyond belief. There are far better veterinary clinics in the area that actually listen to pet owners, treat animals with care, and don’t price-gouge. Do yourself a favor and take your beloved pets anywhere else.
