Dr. Miller is... simply the best veterinarian I've ever met. I'm such an animal lover...I foster and help get animals away from bad situations and shelters and into loving homes. I TRUST DR. MILLER WITH MY 100% with these fury loves of my life. Never have i ever, felt that way. She took such good care of my cat after it was attacked by a dog i was rescuing, I wanted to leave her with Dr. Miller to ensure the best possible care for her. Dr. Miller and i communicated every day for 2 maybe even three weeks. She insisted on daily reports and I was relieved for the help and reassurance. HER HEART IS IN SAVING LIVES of our oh so precious animals. Everything about her and her office and the people she works with says, we actually care about everything concerning your animal. i am recommending her, and the people she works with, to all animal lovers!

Words can't say how well Dr. Miller and her staff treated my beloved Dante from the time he was a puppy until the day I had to say goodbye. I'm not ready to get another dog yet but you can be sure that when that day comes, I will choose her practice again.

It’s difficult to write this but I think it needs to be shared. My dog has seen Dr. Miller since she was a puppy when we were still going to Animal Care Center on David Dr. Dr. Miller was always extremely kind and courteous and still is to this day. When Animal Care Center closed I decided to follow her to Uptown Vet. The prices seemed higher than what they used to be but I understood this given it’s in the Garden District right next to Magazine. Everything was well handled safety wise during the pandemic and I felt good about continuing with them. However, in January 2021 I noticed my dog had cracked one of her molars, most likely chewing on something too hard for her. I let Uptown Vet know what was up and they got us in quickly. Dr. Miller explained that in order to save the tooth she would simply remove the fractured slab but keep the rest. This sounded like a good course of action. However after the surgery was complete I noticed that there was a red dot in the middle of her tooth, almost like a vein. I consulted with them about this but they said it was nothing to worry about. Fast forward some months later when I brought my dog to another vet for a different concern. (I had gotten to the point where it was too much to drive to Uptown and I’d heard good things about this other vet who works much closer to where we live.) When examining my dog she noticed the red dot I had seen and became concerned. She explained to me that was the root of my dog’s tooth exposed and suggested a dental specialist take a look because that was not typical and put my dog at high risk for infection. My dog just had surgery with that dental specialist today who also confirmed that the move to leave the root exposed was not best practice. I want to give the benefit of the doubt and say this was just a one time thing but my friend also used to see Dr. Miller and had a similar issue with her pet where a dental concern was not properly addressed until she sought another opinion. I believe Dr. Miller is an excellent general veterinarian for the majority of concerns but it might be better to refer out to a specialist regarding dental problems. I wish Dr. Miller and her staff the very best but due to this incident, the increased cost, and less convenient location, I’ll be bringing my dog elsewhere from now on.
