Lisa spends time with you and listens to you. She does not run in and run out. Or act like she Is too busy to listen to you or your concerns. Even when she clearly is very busy. She is the best. I have used her for over 10 years for my dog.

Welcome to Uhrig Veterinary Services

Uhrig Veterinary Services, situated at 1246 Western Ave, Chillicothe, OH 45601, USA, functions as a "Pet Hospital," aiming to provide veterinary medical care to the companion animals in Chillicothe and its surrounding areas. As a pet hospital, it would typically offer a range of services from routine health maintenance to addressing specific medical concerns and illnesses. The clinic is associated with a veterinarian named Lisa, who is highlighted by some clients for her attentive and compassionate approach. However, public feedback regarding the clinic's operations presents a mixed picture, indicating both positive experiences with personalized care and significant challenges related to wait times and overall service efficiency.

The environment at Uhrig Veterinary Services, as described by customer reviews, presents a dichotomy. On one hand, there is feedback suggesting a deeply caring and attentive environment where the veterinarian, Lisa, "spends time with you and listens to you" and "does not run in and run out." This indicates a desire to create a personal and thorough experience for clients, even when the clinic is "clearly very busy." Such an environment would foster a sense of trust and reassurance, where pet owners feel their concerns are genuinely heard and addressed. However, contrasting feedback paints a picture of an environment plagued by significant operational challenges. A detailed negative review describes excessive wait times, with a client waiting over an hour beyond their appointment time without being seen by a doctor, and a previous experience of a four-hour wait for a checkup. This suggests that while individual interactions with the veterinarian may be positive, the overall clinic environment, particularly the waiting room experience and scheduling efficiency, can be chaotic and frustrating. The lack of apology or acknowledgment from staff when a client expressed dissatisfaction publicly further indicates potential issues with customer service during stressful situations. Therefore, the environment can be perceived differently depending on an individual's experience, ranging from deeply attentive during consultation to highly inefficient and unresponsive during the waiting and check-in process.

As a "Pet Hospital," Uhrig Veterinary Services would typically offer a range of core services designed to maintain and improve the health of companion animals. Based on the provided reviews, these services include general check-ups and appointments for various pet ailments, such as "abrasions on her" (referring to a cat) and checkups for a "dog." This implies that the clinic provides diagnostic assessments for medical conditions and likely prescribes medications, although the specifics of their diagnostic capabilities (e.g., in-house lab, X-rays, ultrasound) are not detailed in the available information. Routine preventative care, such as vaccinations and parasite control, would also be expected offerings at a pet hospital. The mention of "my dog" being used for "over 10 years" suggests long-term general practice care, indicating services that support pets throughout their life stages, including senior care and managing chronic conditions. While the reviews don't specify advanced surgical procedures, dental care, or emergency services, a full-service pet hospital would typically offer some level of these. However, the severe negative experience with an appointment suggests that accessing even standard services can be problematic due to operational inefficiencies, irrespective of the quality of the medical advice once seen by the veterinarian.

One notable feature of Uhrig Veterinary Services, as highlighted by positive feedback, is the veterinarian Lisa's dedication to active listening and spending adequate time with clients during consultations. This personalized attention, even when the clinic is busy, is a highly valued trait for pet owners who appreciate a thorough discussion of their concerns and their pet's health. This contrasts with a common complaint in busy medical settings where practitioners might rush through appointments. The clinic's ability to retain clients for over a decade, as indicated by a long-term client, speaks to a consistent level of satisfaction with the medical care provided by Lisa. However, a significant opposing feature, as evidenced by the negative review, is the apparent issue with punctuality and patient flow management. Extended wait times ("over an hour for an appt," "4 hours for a checkup") and a perceived lack of urgency or apology from staff during these delays are critical operational features that negatively impact client experience. The apparent disconnect between the desire for thorough consultations and the capacity to manage patient volume efficiently seems to be a key challenge for the clinic. This inconsistency in service delivery – excellent individual veterinarian attention versus systemic scheduling and wait time issues – defines a significant feature of Uhrig Veterinary Services.

While specific, publicly advertised promotional information for Uhrig Veterinary Services is not available, the existing client testimonials implicitly convey differing promotional messages. The positive review promotes the clinic through its veterinarian's personal touch and dedication to listening, which would appeal to pet owners seeking a caring and attentive professional. The sentiment that "She is the best. I have used her for over 10 years for my dog" serves as a powerful word-of-mouth endorsement, suggesting long-term trust and satisfaction with the medical care itself. However, the highly critical negative review acts as a strong deterrent, effectively counteracting any positive promotional efforts. Its explicit advice to "SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE" due to "Terrible service" and "UNACCEPTABLE" wait times is a stark anti-promotion. For potential clients, the most direct way to inquire about services, appointment availability, and any potential wait time management strategies would be to contact the clinic directly via phone at (740) 775-7297 or +1 740-775-7297. Given the contrasting feedback, it would be prudent for new clients to consider these operational aspects alongside the perceived quality of veterinary care when making their decision. The clinic's actual promotional strategy would likely need to address these reported service inefficiencies to align with the positive aspects of its veterinary care.

Standard appt for checkup on my cat. She has abrasions on her. Checked in at 325pm .. appt was at 330pm .... 405pm called into back from waiting room... 415pm Girls came in checked temp and left said doc would be right in..430pm nothing .. 435pm nothing.. Waited for over an hour for an appt and still didnt get seen. UNACCEPTABLE ..Finally had enough and had to walk out! Terrible service. When I told them I was leaving in front of a packed waiting room and why ..they just had a confused look on their faces. Not one person offered an apology. Previous appt i had was 4 hours for a checkup on my doberman. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
