I called As soon as they open for an urgent care visit on Sunday 12/1/24 for a possible UTI with my 6 yr old cat. I was told to come on in and they would see her. When I arrived 30 minutes later, there were 3 cars in the parking lot and one couple in the waiting room. I didn’t wait long for us to be called back to triage. The tech was thorough with her intake and vitals. Then told me I could wait in the exam room or in the lobby. I opted to wait in our room as my cat was very overwhelmed and needed a calm place alone to settle down. I consider myself a patient person, I expected to wait on a Sunday for urgent care. After over an hour I stepped out and asked the front staff if they could get an eta for our care. I had not been informed in anyway of how long the wait was going to be. I was told they only have one vet on staff on Sunday’s, they were sorry for the wait. I asked if they could ask the back how much longer they thought it would be. I told them I understood they don’t have control of what is going on in the back, but updating patients/ popping your head in to let them know they aren’t forgotten about or how many cases they were in the line should be a common courtesy. They explained that I was to be next in line after a euthanasia and couldn’t give me any kind of estimate on time. I waited for over 30 minutes more. I then left and told the staff that it was worth it to me to pay more money to actually have my animal seen at the ER vet. The gentleman again apologized. This facility should not offer urgent care services if they are not staffed to provide them. I was very disappointed and will not recommend anyone seek ER services here. They may be great for regular routine scheduled visits, but I cannot attest to that. If you have an urgent case, please head to the UF ER Vets. They have things down very systematically there, fully staffed with kind and compassionate people. Lesson learned and a waste of my time.

Dec 01, 2024 · Kristina GreenLive and learn to read these reviews B4 u go here! 4 hours and $626 later. I brought my cat into "Urgent Care" for a UTI on Sunday 1/13. After waiting for several hours we finally saw Dr Street for maybe 10 minutes.. Even though there was blood in her cloudy urine she was diagnosed with idiopathic "situational" cysititis and given gabapentin and an anti-inflammatory. Well it's now Tuesday night, we are out of the anti-inflammatory and she is still barely peeing. Today I left a VM msg and Stephen, a mgr of some sort, called back and said the doc would be contacting us, but to contact him if I have additional issues. I waited for several hours for the doc to call back then went about my day. I missed the call. She left a msg to send her msgs thru their text app as it would be "easier for her to get the msg". I sent 5 msgs and received NO ADDITIONAL calls or info on what to do for my lil girl! I think if u don't have an equine they could give a $#!&. I WANT A REFUND! Every dog came in and went out ahead of my baby who was "peeing" every 15 minutes at home but we waited for HOURS. WTH? $626 is not cheap on a fixed income for what my cat and I consider Substandard Care!! Now I get to pay yet another vet bill? Again and learn to read reviews first! I would never use or recommend this "vet"!! A similar review has been posted to the OTOW concerns and issues Facebook page!
Jan 15, 2025 · Julie SchulterI cannot begin to express the life altering experience going to WEC and seeing Dr. Street has been for my pet. Beau, a fearful and aggressive toward vets rescue was totally won over by Dr. Street who literally had him eating out of her hand. Dogs need to be able to receive treatment and it was a stressful struggle for him and those trying to help him. Yet here comes Dr. Street and her team to the rescue! She radically changed his experience right away and 4 visits later, I can absolutely say - her being my vet has been life altering for my dog - whether it be as a primary vet or through urgent care she is just plain awesome! She cares. She got on the floor and spoke to my dog. She pet my dog. She built a relationship with my dog. As long as I live in Ocala, I will not go anywhere else. Observationally, the facility itself is also excellent. Spacious (no crowding even when multiple pets are present). Clean. Cheerful and bright. Open 7 days a week and they seem to do everything on site. Every time I have been there, the front desk staff were courteous, kind, and helpful. I love Dr. Street and I love WEC! Thank you for saving my dog!
Nov 03, 2024 · Linda CarlsonWe came in Sunday at opening because my dog has developed bloody diarrhea. The clinic is not crowded. We have been sitting here for 4 hours! Staff cannot give us an estimate of time left to wait. I had to continually ask for more pee pads and chlrox wipes to clean their furniture and floor while the staff obliviously sits near us at the desk. These people are not staffed well enough to provide urgent care. Incredibly disappointed.
Nov 17, 2024 · Kathy LongI will never bring a pet here again. We called ahead from the road as we had an emergency with a dog attack and my dog’s ear was hanging off her head. Called ahead due to the fact that multiple vets had told us they wouldn’t be able to suture her same day. SPECIFICALLY clarified with them that they would take care of her same day. She was assessed and we sat in the lobby for 4 1/2 hours as other seemingly fine dogs were called ahead of us. After we’re finally called in to see the vet he looked at her for less than two minutes, acknowledged that she needed stitching and then moved us along and said he couldn’t do it as he “still has people coming in”. We called ahead to confirm they would stitch her up and were turned away after over 4 hours of sitting in the lobby with my dogs ear disconnected from her head. Really appreciate the $111 bill for you to look at her for 2 minutes and tell us what clearly any idiot with a brain would know - she needed stitches. Absolutely ridiculous and a surprising lack of care from a veterinary office that everyone seems to hold in high esteem.
