While specific details about the hospital's environment are not explicitly provided in the given information, reputable veterinary hospitals generally prioritize creating a clean, comfortable, and safe atmosphere for both pets and their owners. This includes well-maintained examination rooms, surgical suites equipped with modern technology, and comfortable waiting areas designed to minimize stress for animals. Depending on the scope of their services, the facility may also include separate areas for different types of animals, isolation wards for contagious cases, and potentially boarding or grooming facilities.

The services offered at Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital likely encompass a broad spectrum of veterinary care, typical of a comprehensive pet hospital. These services generally include:

Preventative Care: This is a cornerstone of animal health and typically involves routine check-ups, vaccinations tailored to the pet's species and lifestyle, parasite prevention (such as flea, tick, and heartworm control), and nutritional counseling. Early detection of potential health issues through regular wellness exams can significantly improve a pet's long-term health and quality of life.

Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose illnesses and injuries, veterinary hospitals rely on various diagnostic tools. These may include in-house laboratory testing (such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams), digital radiography (X-rays) to visualize internal structures, ultrasound for imaging soft tissues and organs, and potentially more advanced imaging techniques if available or through referral.

Surgical Services: Many pet hospitals offer a range of surgical procedures, from routine surgeries like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. These procedures are typically performed in sterile surgical suites with the patient under anesthesia, closely monitored by trained veterinary technicians and the veterinarian.

Dental Care: Dental health is crucial for pets' overall well-being. Services often include routine dental cleanings under anesthesia to remove plaque and tartar buildup, dental examinations, and treatment of dental diseases or injuries.

Emergency and Urgent Care: While the provided information does not explicitly state 24/7 emergency services, many pet hospitals offer care for urgent medical situations during their operating hours. It's advisable to contact Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital directly to inquire about their emergency protocols and after-hours care options.

Management of Chronic Conditions: Pets, like humans, can suffer from chronic illnesses such as diabetes, arthritis, and kidney disease. Veterinary hospitals play a vital role in managing these conditions through medication, dietary adjustments, and ongoing monitoring to ensure the pet's comfort and stability.

Other Potential Services: Depending on the hospital's specialization and resources, they might also offer services such as behavioral counseling, nutritional support for specific health conditions, microchipping for identification, and end-of-life care including euthanasia and cremation services.

I don’t even know where to begin. After multiple incorrect diagnosis resulting in continuous ER visits, surgeries, specialists, and a 6 month chronic wound infection on my 3 y/o cockapoo’s hind leg…I still made the unfortunate decision to remain with this practice. I vehemently mistrust one of the veterinarians here. I chose to accept an appointment with her when Dr Wood was unavailable. I was already quite annoyed that they called back to request their $25 cancelation fee from the last visit in which we ENDED UP IN THE ER…AGAIN so the appointment wasn’t necessary. My cockapoo woke up limping yesterday with this obvious redness and swelling to his paw which was immediately dismissed with a “there’s nothing there” demeanor. She wrote a script that, had she read his chart, she would have known caused a reaction and he couldn’t tolerate. He has continued to limp in pain and woke up vomiting this morning. I called the office, sent this photo to their email, and…nothing. Do yourself a favor and find another trusting vet for your beloved pets.

Had to take our girl in for an emergency visit. Even though we were a new patient they treated us and our pup with wonderful care. We ended up putting our girl down. The doctor and her assistant communicated openly and honestly and were very comforting during a difficult time. This is the best interaction I have had with a vet visit in all the years I've owned pets. I will definitely be taking all of my animals to see them. Highly recommend!
