Turqoise Animal Hospital killed my pet mouse Pumpkin in 2021. It is difficult to find "exotic" vet services (and mice are considered as such), so I was happy when Turqoise said they would be able to remove small tumor from my mouse's armpit. She was a young and robust mouse, less than a year old, and was not even yet showing discomfort at the tumor that was very small at the time and I was told would be simple to remove. Removal was to be preventative surgery and the doctor showed no concern at any potential surgery risks. I was given explicit written direction to NOT feed her in the hours before surgery, so I removed her from her pack (as female mice are social creatures and live in groups) and kept her isolated in the hours before surgery to ensure she did not eat, as directed. When she was returned to me after surgery, she had massive staples in her arm, was cold, and had labored breathing. I knew something was wrong immediately and should have listened to my gut, but instead I opted to believe the doctor and staff who told me all was fine. Pumpkin died, in pain, scared, and confused, mere hours after I took her home. When I called Turqoise to discuss what happened, I discovered that I was given INCORRECT pre-surgery information and that she could have been eating and stayed with her friends. I have lived with the guilt that their incorrect information and questionable surgery sutures caused my mouse to die young, hungry, scared, and alone. Given that they offered no recompense for my pet that they killed, I'm sure they cared little at the time and have forgotten since.

Jan 14, 2025 路 Sarah DurrandI have now found myself a veterinarian I feel comfortable with and that I trust with my loving pups!! I highly recommend. Read on if you want to know why馃槈. Since Dr Michael left Rose Canyon animal hospital over a year ago, I have not been able to find a new veterinarian. Went to West Coast for a bit, but it didn't feel personable, and although they handled my dog with kindness and affection while he was dying, it just never felt like the small community veterinarian I feel comfortable with. I like to know my vet and for my vet to know my dog. I bought my dog to West Coast because I believe she had a fox tail in her paw and I wanted them to look at a lump on her belly. To search for the fix tail cost almost $300. My previous experience at Rose canyon was $100 or less. The lump, which our family thought was probably a fatty lump, something Dr Michael was able to diagnose, in office, on one of our other dogs, cost a little over $100. West Coast didn't even consider that, they wanted to send a sample to the lab and it was going to cost almost $500.馃檮馃槷 I didn't have that kind of money for minor health concerns. My other dog Cali had started at turquoise animal hospital with her previous owner so I thought I would give them a try. They were able to determine in house that it was fatty, just a little over $100. It felt personable and Dr G was very thorough and explained options for a second lump that was more questionable. I am happy to say I have found my new veterinarian 鈽猴笍. Thank you Turquoise Animal Hospital 馃グ
Mar 29, 2024 路 Cindy MohrTook great care of my puppy in his last few days while he was suffering from parvo. It was a heartbreaking situation and they were so helpful and friendly throughout. When it comes time to get a new dog I will definitely be taking them here
Mar 03, 2025 路 Ross Andersonwanted to bring to your attention some concerns regarding my recent experiences at your clinic. While I have the utmost respect and appreciation for Dr. G, who has always provided exceptional care for my dog, I have noticed consistent issues with the attitude and demeanor of the front desk staff. On multiple occasions, I have felt as though the staff were treating me as if they were doing me a favor, rather than providing the professional service that I am paying for. There has been a noticeable lack of courtesy, and in some instances, they seemed unaware of important details regarding my dog's care. During my last visit, I was also given incorrect instructions on how to administer my dog鈥檚 medication, which could have had serious consequences. Additionally, one of the assistants almost hit my dog with a door, which was quite distressing. I believe that a warm, respectful, and attentive attitude should be at the forefront of customer service, especially in a veterinary setting where pet owners trust the staff with their beloved animals. I would kindly ask that the front desk staff and assistants be more considerate and professional in their interactions. It would go a long way in improving the overall experience. Thanks
Sep 20, 2024 路 Brandon L.They have been our vet for a very long time, and with three of our babies. This last visit was an unexpectedly devastating one. They were honest and kind. They waited for my husband to come say goodbye to our beautiful boy, even though it was a bit past closing. They also made a donation to Arbor Day Foundation in honor of our Oliver, which has meant so much to us. Thank you for the meaningful work that you all do.
