Troy and Heights Animal is Awesome. Very reasonable prices and extremely clean facility. I was able to place an appointment online and be seen by the veterinarian within 48 hours. The vet and staff were knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. Because life is what it is our FurBaby did not respond well to any medication for her asthma. We decided it was time to release her from this worldly body. The office staff had set up a quiet room with tissues and other comforts to ease the pain of her passing. I am very grateful that we found this place. Days like today are difficult. To surrender is difficult. The compassionate and kind professionals in this office ensured our pets’ safe passage from this world while easing my and my families pain. Thank you for that. Goodbye Mabel we love you fur ever :’(

Welcome to Troy & Heights Animal Hospital, a dedicated provider of veterinary care located at 1985 E Wattles Rd in Troy, Michigan. As a valued member of the Pet Hospital category, we strive to offer comprehensive services within a clean and accessible environment. Our commitment is to the health and well-being of your beloved animal companions, and we aim to provide knowledgeable, kind, and supportive care to both pets and their owners.

According to customer feedback, Troy & Heights Animal Hospital prides itself on maintaining an extremely clean facility, which is a crucial aspect of any reputable pet hospital. A clean environment minimizes the risk of infection and contributes to the overall comfort and safety of our patients. We understand that entrusting your pet's health to us requires confidence in our hygiene standards, and we are committed to upholding these standards diligently.

One of the notable features of Troy & Heights Animal Hospital is the convenience of online appointment scheduling. This allows pet owners to easily arrange consultations and treatments, often with short lead times. One reviewer mentioned being able to secure an appointment online and be seen by a veterinarian within 48 hours, highlighting our commitment to timely access to care.

The team at Troy & Heights Animal Hospital is described as knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. We understand that visiting a veterinary hospital can sometimes be a stressful experience for both pets and their owners. Our staff is dedicated to providing a comforting and reassuring environment, ensuring that you feel supported and informed throughout your pet's care journey. We believe in clear communication and taking the time to address your questions and concerns.

A particularly moving review highlights the compassionate and professional support provided by Troy & Heights Animal Hospital during the difficult time of a pet's passing. The staff is commended for setting up a quiet room with thoughtful amenities to ease the family's pain. This demonstrates our commitment to not only the physical well-being of your pets but also the emotional well-being of their human families. We understand the profound bond you share with your animals and strive to provide empathetic support during all stages of their lives, including end-of-life care.

Our veterinary services include the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. One reviewer shared their experience with their pet's mysterious weeping wound, which was diagnosed as an irritated sebaceous cyst. The veterinarian successfully expressed the cyst, leading to the pet's healing. This illustrates our ability to diagnose and treat dermatological issues effectively.

However, another review raises concerns regarding the pricing of follow-up visits and future treatment estimates. The reviewer expressed surprise at being charged for a follow-up visit and found the estimated costs for surgical removal of the cyst, should it recur, and an additional teeth cleaning to be exorbitant. The reviewer also noted a specific charge for cleaning the exam room after their pet's visit, which they felt should be part of the standard operating costs.

It is important to present all available information objectively. While one customer praised the reasonable prices, another expressed significant concerns about potential future costs. This suggests that while our initial consultation and treatment may be perceived as reasonably priced, subsequent follow-up care and potential surgical interventions might carry higher costs. We encourage pet owners to discuss all potential charges and treatment plans thoroughly with our team to ensure transparency and understanding.

Dental care, as indicated in one of the estimates provided to a reviewer, is likely among the services offered at Troy & Heights Animal Hospital. Maintaining good oral hygiene is crucial for the overall health of pets, and we likely provide services such as teeth cleaning and dental examinations. However, the cost of such procedures should be discussed openly with our veterinary team.

Regarding promotional information, the provided reviews do not mention any specific ongoing promotions or discounts. It is advisable to contact Troy & Heights Animal Hospital directly at (248) 587-8355 or +1 248-587-8355 to inquire about any current special offers, wellness packages, or new client discounts that may be available. You may also find information on our website or by visiting our facility.

In summary, Troy & Heights Animal Hospital in Troy, MI, offers a clean facility, the convenience of online appointment booking, and a team described as knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. They have been recognized for their compassionate care, particularly during sensitive times such as end-of-life support. While initial treatment was positively reviewed, concerns have been raised regarding the cost of follow-up visits and estimates for potential future surgical procedures and additional services like teeth cleaning. We encourage local pet owners to consider the positive aspects of care highlighted in the reviews while also engaging in open communication with our team regarding all potential costs associated with their pet's treatment plan to ensure a clear understanding and avoid any unexpected charges.

I took my pet in for a mysterious , weeping wound. It was on the back of her head and it bothered her. She scratched at it and made it bleed. Doctor discovered it was a sebaceous cyst that irritated her. He expressed the cyst and it healed. When I returned for a follow up visit, I was hit with a charge and then a further estimate of $1600 for surgery on this same cyst if it returned and a total of $1900 if the teeth cleaning was added in. I was stunned with sticker shock. Even though the treatment was just fine, the charges are worrisome. I have never been charged with a follow up visit and the estimates for surgically removing the cyst should it return and the added on teeth cleaning were exorbitant. I should add that when I questioned the charge for the follow up visit, I was told the $47 charge was for cleaning the exam room after my pet left. To me, keeping a facility clean and disinfected is part of doing business and should not be something a customer is charged for!. Even though the care and medications were fine, the price gouging made me reel!

My appointment was scheduled for 4 PM, and I arrived on time. Within a minute of my arrival, I was taken to a room. However, I ended up waiting in the room for 24 minutes. The assistant who escorted me assured me that the vet would be in shortly, but this was not the case. Appointments are made for a reason, and while a brief wait of 5-10 minutes is understandable, waiting nearly half an hour without any communication is unacceptable. I approached the front desk to express my concern, and the receptionist, who had gray hair, responded with an attitude. She even questioned whether I had arrived on time for my appointment, which I assured her I had, suggesting she check the security cameras for confirmation. This interaction felt very unprofessional. While the vet was kind and compassionate, the overall experience was disappointing. Even though the office is only three minutes away from my home, I am contemplating whether I would like to go back or not.

Brought our dog in and they diagnosed her with a stomach ache and she would soon poop on a Friday. She got worse over the weekend and tried to get her in on Monday but couldn’t squeeze her in til 3:45 and said if it’s an emergency to take her to an emergency hospital. I asked why they didn’t unblock her and give fluids on that Friday, no answer. She passed away at the emergency hospital due to gastritis which I think could have been avoided. I was surprised to see not one bad review with this veterinary. But we will not go here or recommend this place

The vet does a good job but they are pricey. My dogs annual w vaccinations with $450 skipping a couple. Not sure how this compares anymore, but definitely price has increased. The vet and techs were all super nice and good w me and the dog though. Vet was knowledgable and personable. I am relying on them to guide what my dog needs but it feels like they encourage me to spend as much as possible.
