Everyone here is kind and both doctors are clearly very caring. I’ve had both over the years but this review is about Dr. Dodge. He took the time to talk on the phone about my mother’s problematic cat recently and I felt his advice was smart and compassionate. I knew she was in good hands with him and with this practice. We feel very thankful to have him as our Veterinarian.

Based on the available customer reviews, Town & Country Hospital for Pets is known for its kind and caring veterinarians. One particularly positive review highlights the exceptional care provided by Dr. Dodge. The client recounts an experience where Dr. Dodge took the time to speak on the phone regarding their mother's cat's health issues, offering advice that was perceived as both smart and compassionate. This interaction instilled confidence in the client, assuring them that their pet was in good hands with Dr. Dodge and the entire practice. The reviewer expressed deep gratitude for having Dr. Dodge as their veterinarian, emphasizing the trust and thankfulness they feel towards him and the hospital.

The review suggests that Town & Country Hospital for Pets is staffed by experienced and caring doctors who prioritize clear communication and empathy in their interactions with pet owners. The willingness of Dr. Dodge to offer thoughtful advice over the phone indicates a commitment to patient care that extends beyond scheduled appointments. This level of dedication can be particularly reassuring for pet owners navigating challenging health issues with their animals.

However, another review presents a contrasting experience regarding the administrative aspect of the hospital. This client reported a negative interaction with a staff member named Alexus while attempting to schedule an appointment. The reviewer described Alexus as "very rude" and indicated feeling like a bother during the scheduling process. The review also mentions being informed that the office operates primarily on paper and does not utilize a computer system. This administrative experience led the client to decide to seek veterinary services elsewhere, citing the unpleasant interaction as the primary reason for taking their business to another office.

This feedback highlights a potential disconnect between the positive experiences with the veterinary doctors and a less satisfactory experience with at least one member of the administrative staff. It also suggests that the hospital's reliance on a paper-based system might contribute to certain inefficiencies or communication challenges, as perceived by this particular client.

Nutritional counseling and weight management advice are also often provided to ensure your pet maintains optimal health.

While the reviews do not provide specific details about the environment of Town & Country Hospital for Pets, a typical veterinary hospital aims to create a clean and comfortable space for both pets and their owners. This would include examination rooms where pets can be assessed, a waiting area for clients, and potentially separate areas for different species to minimize stress. The mention of operating on paper might suggest a more traditional setting, but the cleanliness and comfort are still likely priorities.

My dog had a horrible allergic reaction with quarter sized raised hives all over her body and face. When I called the receptionist didn’t seem ti care and told me just to give her Benadryl. Told her I had been doing that every 8 hours and it was only getting worse. She said there was nothing they could do and they were booked for the day. Was literally already in the parking lot and didn’t see any patients there. Called a family friend who’s a vet 20 minutes away and he gave her two injections and sent us home with steroids. She immediately improved. Very disappointed they wouldn’t see their own client when she really needed it.
