This place is 10/10. They really care about your pets and are extremely accommodating in every aspect. My pup mosley is reactive to other dogs and they help so much making sure he and I are comfortable. Dr. Dean is awesome and super friendly. He seems truly passionate and is very friendly. The nurses are great and everyone handles my pup so well. He loves seeing them which is such a good sign. Thank you and we will be coming here for as long as we have Mosley :)

Welcome to Town & Country Animal Hospital

Welcome to Town & Country Animal Hospital, your local Pet Hospital located at 1642 Jefferson St SE, Athens, AL 35611, USA. As a pet hospital, we strive to offer services that cater to the diverse needs of our animal companions.

Based on the reviews from pet owners, experiences at Town & Country Animal Hospital appear to vary significantly. One customer had an overwhelmingly positive experience, stating, "This place is 10/10. Thank you and we will be coming here for as long as we have Mosley :)." This review highlights the hospital's caring nature, their accommodation of pets with specific behavioral needs (like reactivity to other dogs), and the friendliness and passion of Dr. Dean and the nursing staff. The fact that the pet enjoys visiting is seen as a positive indicator of their care.

However, another customer reported a very negative experience: "I have taken two of my cats here a handful of times and none of their health issues have ever been resolved. It’s my fault for continuing to come back after their issues were not treated, but I am taking my business elsewhere from now on. I don’t know if it’s incompetency or just general lack of care, but I am so frustrated and disappointed with these people. And they charge you an absolutely absurd amount of money for EVERYTHING. I feel like I’m sinking money down a bottomless pit here. My animals have continued to stay ill and it feels like they’re intentionally fooling around so that you have to keep coming back and spend more money. Never, ever again. My poor cat is still hurting from an issue that should have been resolved THE FIRST TRIP, NOT THE THIRD. I am disgusted!" This review expresses significant dissatisfaction with the lack of resolution of their cats' health issues, concerns about the cost of services, and a perception of a lack of genuine care.

Given these contrasting experiences, it's challenging to definitively describe the environment, services, and features without further information. However, based on the positive review, we can infer some aspects:

  • A Caring Environment: Where staff are perceived to genuinely care about pets.
  • Accommodating: Willing to make adjustments to ensure the comfort of pets with specific needs, such as reactive dogs.
  • Friendly and Passionate Staff: Including veterinarians like Dr. Dean and the nursing team.

Conversely, the negative review suggests potential concerns regarding the effectiveness of treatments and the cost of services.

As a Pet Hospital, Town & Country Animal Hospital likely offers a range of veterinary services. Based on the context of the reviews, these may include:

  • General Wellness Exams: Routine check-ups for pets.
  • Treatment of Illnesses: Addressing various health issues in cats and dogs.
  • Management of Behavioral Issues: Providing support for pets with conditions like reactivity.
  • Medication Prescription and Administration: As part of treatment plans.

However, the conflicting reviews make it difficult to objectively assess the quality and efficacy of these services.

Features of Town & Country Animal Hospital, based on the available reviews, appear to include:

  • Accommodation for Reactive Pets: A willingness to work with animals that have behavioral challenges.
  • Friendly Staff: Including the veterinarian and nurses.

However, it's important to also note the concern raised about the lack of resolution of health issues and the perceived high cost of services.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available online. It would be best to contact Town & Country Animal Hospital directly at (256) 232-0698 to inquire about any current promotions or to discuss your pet's specific needs and their approach to care.

In conclusion, Town & Country Animal Hospital in Athens, AL, has received both highly positive feedback regarding their caring and accommodating approach, particularly with reactive pets, and significant criticism concerning the resolution of health issues and the cost of services. Potential local users may want to consider these differing perspectives when making a decision about their pet's care. We encourage you to contact the hospital directly to discuss your pet's needs and their services in more detail.

Unfortunately, our cat is no longer with us and will be missed. However, the staff exhausted every option to keep her alive. When it was time to put her down, the staff were very empathetic and thoughtful, really allowing us to focus our attention on saying goodbye above everything else. They made a difficult situation much easier because of that thoughtfulness and empathy. Thank you all at Town and Country Animal Hospital.

I've been in rescue and fostering on and off for years now, so it was a humbling experience when I was on the other side for once and lost my own pup yesterday. Thank God I had just registered her microchip, because I got a call from Town & Country saying they had her! One of the staff graciously scooped her up near dangerous traffic and took her in on the way to work. I can't say anything about their services of course, but the fact that they scanned her and reached out to me within the three hours she was missing means a lot to me. The facility grounds is immaculate too. Super cute pet relief area by the parking lot, and the inside was beautiful. I felt a bit judged by reception when I first arrived because of my terribly disheveled and anxious state, and being a person for once that had a missing dog, but I'm just thankful for the young woman who saved her life most likely. I'm glad I got to meet her. Can't thank you enough. Register your pet's microchips!!!!!!

They are absolutely amazing. I have two sweet little foster kittens that showed up and that we are definitely keeping! I have never done anything like this before and they answered so many questions along with giving me other suggestions on helping them! I am very grateful because of the veterinarian and nurses!
