Dr Ting and her team are exceptional. Jackson had IVDD and was in excruciating pain. No place could fit him in for accupuncture or their credentials just didn't line up. Her team got back to me right away and Jackson had his first home appointment within two days. Jackson got sick one month before our wedding. We were going to cancel. She helped get his pain under control with weekly sessions and herbs. She is kind, prompt, knowledgeable, honest on prognosis, and overall just a good person. She had worked with tigers, lizards, cats, and even guinea pigs successfully. She continues to help Jackson and I'm happy to say Jackson walked me down the aisle after being unable to walk due to severe pain. His disease is ongoing due to age but is now manageable with lifestyle changes like a ramp for our stairs and routine accupuncture . Thank you Dr Ting and Team.

Ting Veterinary Acupuncture Introduce
Welcome to Ting Veterinary Acupuncture, your trusted local Pet Hospital dedicated to providing exceptional and holistic veterinary care for your beloved animal companions. While our physical address is located at Johnson Ave, Bohemia, NY 11716, USA, we understand the importance of accessible and comprehensive information for local pet owners seeking the best care for their furry, scaled, or feathered family members. As a specialized Pet Hospital focusing on veterinary acupuncture, Ting Veterinary Acupuncture offers a unique approach to animal health and wellness, addressing a wide range of conditions with gentle and effective techniques.
At Ting Veterinary Acupuncture, we strive to create a calm and welcoming environment for both you and your pet. While we may not have the traditional bustling atmosphere of a large veterinary clinic, our focus is on providing personalized and attentive care in a comfortable setting. We understand that some pets can experience anxiety during veterinary visits, and our aim is to minimize stress by offering a serene and supportive space. Our dedicated team is committed to ensuring that your pet feels safe and at ease throughout their acupuncture treatment.
Our core service revolves around veterinary acupuncture, a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body. This stimulates the body's natural healing abilities, promoting circulation, reducing inflammation, relieving pain, and restoring overall balance. Dr. Ting is a highly skilled and experienced practitioner of veterinary acupuncture, with a proven track record of successfully treating a diverse range of animals, including cats, dogs, and even more exotic pets like tigers, lizards, and guinea pigs, as highlighted in testimonials from satisfied clients.
The services offered at Ting Veterinary Acupuncture cater to a variety of health concerns. Acupuncture has been shown to be particularly effective in managing chronic pain conditions such as arthritis and hip dysplasia, as well as neurological issues like Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). As evidenced by the heartfelt testimonial regarding Jackson, who suffered from excruciating IVDD pain, Dr. Ting's expertise in acupuncture and herbal remedies played a crucial role in managing his pain and ultimately enabling him to walk again. This exemplifies the potential of acupuncture to significantly improve the quality of life for pets facing debilitating conditions.
Beyond pain management, veterinary acupuncture can also be beneficial for other conditions, including gastrointestinal issues, respiratory problems, skin disorders, and even behavioral issues. It can be used as a standalone treatment or as a complementary therapy alongside conventional veterinary medicine to enhance healing and overall well-being. For senior pets, acupuncture can be particularly valuable in alleviating age-related discomfort and improving mobility, as demonstrated by the 15-year-old Shih Tzu who experienced remarkable relief from neck and hip discomfort under Dr. Ting's care.
One of the key features of Ting Veterinary Acupuncture is the personalized and compassionate approach to each patient. Dr. Ting takes the time to thoroughly assess each animal's individual needs and develops a tailored treatment plan to address their specific condition. The positive feedback from clients consistently emphasizes Dr. Ting's kindness, knowledge, and honesty. Her prompt communication and willingness to accommodate urgent cases, such as Jackson's situation before his owners' wedding, further underscore her dedication to her patients' well-being.
While specific promotional offers may vary, Ting Veterinary Acupuncture is committed to providing high-quality care at a fair and reasonable price. We encourage local pet owners to contact us directly at (631) 829-1165 or +1 631-829-1165 to discuss their pet's needs and inquire about our services and pricing. We understand that investing in your pet's health is an important decision, and we are happy to answer any questions you may have and provide detailed information about how acupuncture can benefit your animal companion.
The testimonials from pet owners speak volumes about the positive impact of Ting Veterinary Acupuncture. The fact that a nervous dog eagerly anticipates his acupuncture visits highlights the gentle and positive experience provided. Jan 23, 2025 · Diana SharDr Ting is amazing! My Shih Tzu was experiencing neck and hip discomfort and she has worked wonders with him! He is 15 years old and doing fantastic! He is a very nervous dog but absolutely loves going for his acupuncture visits! I just say her name and he’s excited to get in the car and go! I am so grateful we found Dr Ting! I truly believe she is helping with Boomers quality of life!
Oct 08, 2024 · Laurie KaessingerDr. Ting is very professional and offers an amazing service! She has been coming to our house to give Tucker acupuncture for the last 8 months. At first we were nervous if the treatments would work or even be possible due to Tuckers fear of vets. He had cancer as a puppy and went through daily radiation treatments which gave him PTSD. Normally he tries to run away every time a vet tries to touch him. Dr. Tings was quickly able to become his friend and was able to get him to lay with the needles in him for a whole 10 minutes! We were shocked! The acupuncture treatment has helped Tuck’s neck tremendously. He rarely has any issues anymore. When he does it’s very minimal flare ups. We continue to recommend Dr. Ting to anyone who is looking for veterinary acupuncture!
May 17, 2023 · Joey CatizoneDr. Ting is a miracle worker. Our lab Koda has horrible anxiety. She was afraid of everything from motorcycles and thunderstorms to just being outside at night. We tried many different anxiety medications, and none of them worked. They either intensified her fears, or made her sleep all day. Just when we thought all hope was lost, we found Dr. ting. We noticed a difference in Koda after the first visit and she absolutely loves going. We have been going to Dr. ting for a little over a year, and noticed the biggest change in our girl. I never thought Koda would run into a vets office, but she will for acupuncture with Dr. Ting.
Aug 26, 2024 · tomie rae martinTo say that Dr Ting is a god sent and blessing is an understatement. I can’t thank her enough for her calming and compassionate demeanor and level of expertise and professionalism she has shown to me and my 9 year old rescue Gigi, a chihuahua daschund mix. Gigi out of no where developed ataxia, had difficulty walking with scissoring in her back legs. It was suspected she had irritated a disc due to underlying IVDD and she was in terrible pain and had muscle spasms. She was put on anti inflammatory’s and pain meds by her vet but they were providing her little temporary relief. I felt like I had to do more since it tore my heart to see her in pain and she wasn’t my Gigi that I knew her to be. I researched acupuncture for dogs and found Dr Ting and I’m so grateful I did. She has been doing acupuncture with Gigi for the past 4 weeks and Gigi has improved by leaps and bounds and is getting back to her energetic spit fire little self and it has not only put a smile on Gigi’s face but mine. If your unsure if acupuncture would work for your family pet I implore you to give Dr Ting a chance because she has changed my girls life ALL for the better and I highly recommend her!
